I cant delete this thing.Using Cyanogenmod N63..
And another question: What is the fastest ROM (in quadrants) for OB and which kernel + OC? ?
I´m using the ROM Zeus V3.2n and taking ~2000 in quadrant standard.
Anyone else already mentioned it, whats the use of max benchmark result, if your battery can only last for an hour or two? I think the midway between performance and battery drainage is the right one, so dont simply go and OC/tune everything to performance, since it will screw your on battery time. You need to mount system first, to be able to delete something use root explorer, or es file manager, it also offers this option.
About this, I saw in Zeus ROM that we have 2 files (at least I have) of LibGles on system/lib/egl/ .... It´s meant to be 2 files or am i something wrong? The names of the files are libGLESv1_POWERVR_SGX530_125.so and libGLESv2_POWERVR_SGX530_125.so.
Thats all perfect, dont delete them OR your phone wont work anymore
Oh....ok...I´m not deleting them. My scores in quadrant are ~3200 in quadrant advanced and ~2200 in quadrant advanced. Are they good scores or are they low?
Sorry, just read it. Those are very good scores around 1000-1500 is normal for a stock rom, so you can see, that your using a tweaked rom
using cm7 and then i deleted it so that i cant play minecraft now LOL
i dont want last longer battery life.
i just want to OC and then kill some people (in points)
i got 1500 in quadrant advanced when i delete it.
before delete i got 2750 with nova11c but in antutu
help guys

Update 11/05/11
StreakDroid7 1.3
changelog
no huge changes
rebuilt kernel with more stability at higher overclocks, also auto detect speeds in setcpu will work fine now.
added GPU Overclock which also boosts the base gpu clock so performance should be increased all round
reduced the max framerate to fix gfx courrptions

Update 22/04/11
time for a new build again
minor tweaks in this version and one large change
changelog:
Minor tweaks to kernel
Removed 1.6ghz Overclock
Tweaked 1.504ghz should work better
Added 1.3ghz clock speed
Finally managed to uncap the framerate of device, now hitting over 100fps on some items,
thanks to dexter_nlb for pointing me in the right direction on the above
overclock should be pretty much rock solid up to 1.4ghz but above that you may see lockups, also not all devices are the same and some will not handle overclock as well

glad to see this out now and not a second to soon, now every one who download and contributes to this thread really needs to look into logcating i believe that will help out a lot with trouble shooting
I strongly feel that the UNDERDOG DS7 with DJ's hand will blow all other fancy expensive **** out of the water .
This is unbelievably only first day of dev's output ...
Second day with the device. I don't have interwebz so in out till Monday! Oh well enjoy

Running now.
Quand Score 3020!
So far so good. No issue encountered yet.
Edit1
Dungeon Defender Stuck the entire device everytime it runs. But it's ok. Their updates failed even under 2.2.2 sometimes too.
Edit 2
Every HD videos / H.264 will freeze unless I set the SetCPU profile as 216 - 1400 mhz.
Previously was 1200 - 1400 mhz (maybe this is too greedy of a setting)
Getting my Unit Tuesday, My replacement, was thinking about sellign for Acer Iconia, but now the Dj_steve got this rolling, cant wait.
Hey guys what do I need to do to my new device to get this on it, I been out of the loop for 2 weeks.
Thanks

How are you finding battery life with oc?
Put profile for screen off at 216-1400. Battery burning almost twice faster. So now I am testing with off screen setting 216-800 and lets see how

best bet to set the speeds after reboot manually anyway

I always put it on the min for both the min/max when the screen is off(usually power save or conservative governor depending on the kernel). I mean you really need close to zero cpu when your screen is off so running it even at 800 is a waste of power. I would suggest doing a screen off profile of a min/max of 216/216. It also helps keep the temp down
In case people didn't know this includes binaries to easily remount your system partition. They are pretty self-explanatory.

you can use those in any terminal program you choose (or an adb shell). Steve - you should drop AppWidgetPicker.apk into the system/app folder, makes a much nicer widget selection dialog. Also, maybe you could remove the extra crap, like it doesn't need to flash the modem or recovery, I was just too lazy to remove those extra steps from the install script.
Thanks for this! Flashing now.
Gps is broken for me...
04-16 08:37:11.181: ERROR/gps_BRCM(1146): Failed to connect to the gps driver (/dev/socket/gps) errno(2)
Restored my backup to be sure - no problem there. I re-added some of the apk's to /system/app that were removed, as my first attempt to get it working. If this doesn't work, I am going to try to revert some of the lib changes you made, maybe one of those is b0rking something up. Not an apk, going to restore and just flash your boot.img and see how that works out...
Alright, did another restore, tested again (fine)... this time I included the old lib directory and got massive kernel panics (made a second attempt at this thinking I did something wrong - boots fine, no GPS, gotta be in the kernel - right?). Guess the last test is to just flash your boot image...
Last test - restored backup flashed your boot.img (think it flashed - no error returned). Booted up fine, GPS - a no go). Gotta be a kernel thing.
yep yep and yep ive also stablised the overclock more, pushed the voltages up slightly but its made it far more stable and doesn seem to lockup here now, will upload new build later, adding some other edits to kernel too, also can someone on here please go ask some of the devs in the folio 100 and gtab forums what they had to change in nvrm_daemon to up the framerates as it appears the 7 is locked to 59fps at moment,
fps2d will show this for reference:
streak 7 @ 1.4ghz = 59fps max
Notion ink adam @ 1.0 ghz but with a 78hz modded nvrm hits 70fps easily
and new build is up folks check first post

Im confused which setting would be the best for my phn?
i need stable,speedier handling and mainly...higher battery.
I dont play games at all.
Can an expert suggest me smthing here?

The version of supercharger for ICS seems to have a lot of options and I don't know what they mean either except the OOM memory settings so as I went through it I said yes to everything, lol. When it asks about the soft rock, hard rock, something rock, kernel things I selected the middle one - for a semi stable kernel but I don't think it really matters.
One important thing is that when you say yes to everything you end up with the memory settings (OOM) not being aggressive enough in my (and lots of others) opinion so I run it again and select 5 or 6 which is unleaded or leaded I think so that gives a more aggressive setting for the memory which seems to work better.
To answer your question directly, I own a p999, and I like the aggressive 512 hp setting. The others seen to cause a little Lag for me.
Try experimenting its the best way to learn. Its lieu hard to mess something up using his scripts.

okie thx...i will keep on tryin the settings.
I think agrressive settings will not make much improvement to battery backup...so semi aggressive will b better fr me as i need max batterybackup.
Right now im on "hard to kill home" setting.
If you mean battery life....then the memory settings don't effect that.
Thats it,last time i've been triying multiple roms wich are full perfomance like CM7 Droid Ace,Stock Revoultion Light V3,SGSII v10,and many more, actually im on sperience and i have same issue, wich could be the problem? there are my overclock settings

also i only have 30 apps installed with int2ext+
nothing else, and my phone lags like a hell,i've read some people that have over than 60 apps and their phones still lag-free
I have tried adrenaline engine, lagfree script,slaidmod,slaidyboost,v6 supercharger ( obviosly not all togheter :dumb but in any case i cant get lagfree phone,i know it isnt the best phone but is there a way to have it without lags? help me plz..
You don't need any RAM managing scripts/apps/whatever.
All they do is actually slow it down, as when you open apps, they're stored in RAM so you can open them again later. If you clear RAM all the time, you'll have to load the app every time you want to open it.
Depending on your launcher, this may be a problem with scrolling lag too.
My advice is just remove any RAM managing...stuff.
I'm using Wp7 extreme rom its modified to the Max with visuals and IV got 15 apps on top of that, I haven't even over clocked it and its still smooth and fast with no lag and IV got 1gb partition, the rom it self sorts the has built in app2sd, not the app, it also comes with ram manager what I haven't used yet so maybe try this rom and also try clearing cache on all the apps this has a massive impact on performance

You don't need a ram manager, huh? So when you have 50+ apps and 25MB ram left with your phone TRYING to crawl through whatever you're doing, what will you do? Close them all up one by one to free up ram?
Amazing how all these devs make ram managers just for show, huh. They must be pretty bored.

The Ace can't run anything COMPLETELY lag-free because of it's lack of hardware. I've tweaked my phone to the max and it's already as "lag-free" as it can get. And it STILL has its slowdown moments. Don't feel bad, it's not just your phone.

The question should be addressed to the author, he'd know the best. But as he reffered to zeppelinrox regarding this matter, it might be assumed that improvements are regarding charger and launcher. Zeppelinrox describes these changes like features that "makes your phone fast, super snappy with better multitasking".

Hello,
Tested and adopted !
All is perfectly working !
Enjoy !
My question might be a bit too silly, but I've had an LG Optimus Black and the more you tweaked it, the better it got. However, it started to fade because of the Overclock, gps-wise and 3g-wise, everything was getting really dark. So, I decided to buy once and only an SGS3 and it died 3 days later, it literally died, nobody knows why. It IS a good phone, batter lasts about 8hs, and has a lot of power. It lags, which i didn't expect and it does not perform as well on wi-fi as a true quad core should perform. My point is: whatever it is that you do, the RAZR i does it just so fast, so good, it is like a train, maybe not the fastest and not the biggest but the most efficient. Does this phone get EVEN better by rooting/flashing custom ROMs? I'm starting to think that it just won't. The hardware seems to be polished at its maximum and working in perfect harmony.

Hi,
In my opinion it gets better if it is rooted as there are some apps I use like Titanium Backup or Root explorer. Currently I do not see a need to flash a custom rom for some reasons. The phone is fast, stable and the battery lasts for at least 2 days however the architecture is x86 as you probably know. This could be the reason why the phone is not in focus of devs. Nevertheless there is the first custom rom.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191769
Whatever you do, if the phone is running ICS and you are planning to upgrade to JB I recommend to do this first.
Can anyone provide screenshot of the rom please

You got a point. It really doesn't get faster, because its already fastest as it could be. But this ROM gave me a better battery performance, and the fact that it its deodexed gives us more liberty to tweak around. But it isn't a must, like in other devices, have a custom ROM to get a good performance. Whit RAZR i its just a choice...

Custom brightness coming soon...
Just a quick heads up regarding the brightness settings in this rom: it uses the standard brightness curves, which are far too bright.
I am working on new brightness curves for this rom, which I have working on my phone, and I will make them available very soon.
In the meantime, do not flash my modified framework-res.apk (from Matt's thread) on this rom: the mountpoint settings are different, and it work at all you will likely lose access to the internal storage.
I think the same... I'm a newbie, but I had HTC one S, Motorola Atrix 4g, this one is winning talking about battery and performance all around. I would have appreciated a better camera, but that's it. I really enjoy it, missing just some custom rom for playing a bit with, but Max Choco's has started this way for this great toy.
Thank you...

Hey guys, just wanted to post an issue I'm having with my Vivid. I'm not new to rooting and flashing ROM's but I am new to XDA, so I can't post in the dev forum yet, or else I would post this in there...
The issue I'm having with bilibox's PAC Rom is a pretty significant memory leak. On first boot, I have about 540mb used out of 794 (originally 820, but this rom uses up more RAM inherently), but as I progress though my day the free memory gets worse. With no apps open, as of now, I have 700mb used, out of 794 available. It does this throughout the day, and its eating my battery life along with slowing the phone down.
Also, for the best battery life, what performance settings should I be using?
Thanks, and sorry for the questions.

Its not the rom. Its the kernel. We had to remap the memory in 4.2 and we lost some on the user space. If it is slowing down your phone download task manager . Or go into the performance section in settings and put "Free memory" to 100mb plus android always keeps 100~ mb ram free anyways.

Glad to hear that. Personally I set everything in the 99kernel file located in /system/etc/int.d/ make sure to use the es file explorer editor.. some editors dont keep permissions properly and it wont work
