I want to go back to gingerbread am rinning Dark Knight rom any help plz
Why God .. why ...
Flash stock through ODIN or Heimdall and thats it
If you had to ask this, it's probably a good thing you're going back to stock.
Sent from my Telus Fascinate running OneCosmics ICS!
why would you say that
Get stock ROM here.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&t=1&o=1&m=GT-I9000&r=-1#modelsa
You need stock ROM (3 file stock ROM), Odin & Pit512.
1. Start ODIN.
2. Select the files into the relevant places in ODIN.
3. Click repartition.
4. Put phone into download mode.
5. Connect phone to pc.
6. wait for Odin to connect to phone.
7. click start.
8. wait for ODIN to finish & for phone to reboot.
You must have pit512 and click repartition as ICS uses a different file system to Gingerbread.
You may have a boot loop after doing this. I have had this occasionally. To solve this reflash with ODIN. This time make sure repartition is unchecked and don't flash pit file.
Sorry Screen shot says scs. I meant CSC.

Hi guys,
I'm really interested in flashing Revolution Rom to my SGS1. It currently has CyanogenMod7 on it.
I've looked at the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1236432
but can't figure out if I'm meant to just flash the rom or if I somehow need to flash a stock Gingerbread first before then flashing the REvolutionROM.
Can anyone assist?
Apologies if this question's already been asked, I did a thorough search but couldn't find anything. Happy if you just point me to another thread if it's already answered.
thanks
Aaron
To revert from CM7 to any other samsung rom you need to first flash a full PDA stock rom with odin. with repartition. and 512 pit.
then you can change to what ever rom you want.

Hi mate u just go to www.samfirmware.com make an account and chk the firmware sec in toolbox and then select ur model and download the latest formware...JVR is the latest firmware on samfirmware download it and download odin extract that downloaded folder and u have 4 file 1 pit file 2 code 3 csc 4 modem.
Now open odin and put these file respectively ( dnt forget to closr kies if u have even from running services on windows) now put ur phone in download mode and connect through odin and tick the repartition on leftside and then start odin...
Of all goes well u r on stock GB
wait phone to phone to boot
now choose any kernel to root ur phone and again turnoff ur phone and get in download mode and choose that kernel in pda option of odin and this time unchk the repartition and start odin
now ur rooted
then download custom rom and put in ur internal sd and go to recovery or cwm mode and flash that rom.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
After installing the lastest "S.U.R.F.A.C.E" ROM on my GT-I9000 I'm presented with the Galaxy S logo and nothing else,
Tried and tried vol up + home + power number of times now with no avail.
Everything was working fine before was able to boot into clockwork recovery ect, unfortunately I do not have a usb cable so can't try odin any help would be great.
Grab yourself a jig from ebay or the likes, or make one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=819551
It will boot into download fine the problem I have is it won't boot into recovery is there any way I can wipe it or does it look like I am in need of a cable?
Then reflash back to stock using Odin

clockwork recovery, i take it I messed up here so
No, meant what rom were you on before your flash? Stock?
oh sorry got the phone of a friend looked like a custom samsung rom, build version was easyprojectv2 if that rings any bells?
Looks like the problem was caused by trying to flash a odexed rom over a deodexed rom, or not having the correct bootloaders for the new rom. Normally before a flash I would return to stock (firmware from sammobiles.com) first via ODIN, do all the wipes, flash a kernel so you have a nice clean install to 'abuse'. Then I would add any custom rom from there be it by ODIN or by cwm.
Grab yourself a usb lead, nice clean flash and start again.
Ok so I've 3 file here:
APBOOT_I9000XWJW1_CL788890_REV03_user_low_ship.tar.md5
CODE_I9000XWJW1_CL788890_REV03_user_low_ship.tar.md5
KERNEL_I9000XWJW1_CL788890_REV03_user_low_ship.tar.md5
s1_odin_20100803.pit (not sure if i need this as was in the root of the odin folder not the firmware?)
Where do the other 3 file go PDA PHONE CSC???
I am also stuck on the same front, i donwloaded rom from samfirmware but it only had PDA part and nothing else, please suggest which official rom should i download??

I would go this way mate, first grab JVT from sammobiles.com ( register first)
Flash that using ODIN
Comes with 3 files, CSC, PHONE and PDA
PDA file goes to PDA in ODIN
PHONE goes into MODEM in ODIN
CSC goes in CSC in ODIN.
Also select PIT file, should be 512 on the PIT section on ODIN, hit start and it will flash then reboot.
Then open ODIN again, connect phone and flash your KERNEL to the PDA section of ODIN.
Then grab this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1117579
and flash using cwm.
Your then on JW1 all rooted and ready to play.
put the "APBOOT_I9000XWJW1_CL788890_REV03_user_low_ship.tar" file into the PDA and flashed it. Everything seems to be working fine might stick with the stock for a while never really needed to be rooted.
ok i just popped the SIM and have no network access when i tap on Mobile Networks in the setting it tells me to insert a SIM????
the firmware i had was wrong didnt have a modem. Downloaded a jvt as buttwad said flashed an now everything working perfect now. cheers mate!
CM9 nice but not ready .... ok, because I'm a noob I have a big problem. I have my new SGS (i9000 3.2.3firmware) with cf-root 2.6 from here (*http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788108*). Yesterday put CM9 on it from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1363593) .. and this morning I do not like it..*so I open cwm and tap to restore from backup ... now my galaxy wont open again... what can i do now??
and odin can see my phone in download mode....
sorry for my bad english, i can speek only greek and german...
did you have a backup to begin with?
if odin can see your phone in download then just flash another rom
It doesn't work because the stock partitions are different to CM9. Flash a stock version of whatever you had before in odin with repartition, then a kernel. Then you should be able to restore your backup from CWM
As posted above. The partitions between CM & stock are different. I did exactly what you did. With the same result.
You can get a stock rom from here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/
Once you have a stock rom you need to use Odin to install it. You will need to have all three files & the pit file. (phone, modem, csc, pit - 512).
Make sure Kies is not running & open Odin. Click re-Partition. Click PIT & select your pit file, Click PDA & select file with PDA in name, click phone select file with phone in name, click CSS & select file with CSC in name.
Once you are ready with this start phone in download mode. Once in download mode attach phone to usb cable wait for top left corner to go green & click start.
This can take some time but once complete phone should restart. At this point my phone got stuck (either boot loop or black screen I can't remember)
If this happens don't panic just remove phone from USB & restart odin. Now make sure re-partition is unchecked & select the three previous files again, don't select pit file. Again put phone in download mode (you may need to pull battery first) wait for Odin to be ready & click start. This time when the phone reboots it should start although this can take a little longer than usual.
Once started I always like to reboot a couple times & clear cache & do factory reset in recovery.
HI dudes,
I'm actually in humeros 4.0.3 ICS on my Galaxy Tab P1000 but I'd like to go back to gingerbread 2.3.3, is this possible through Odin, do I need to re-partition ?
Thanks

Yes it is possible.
You do need to insert PIT file i.e. need to re-partition. Not only that, you need to flash dbdata.rfs as well. I did this twice before.
Follow these steps carefully you should be fine:
1a. Get your 2.3.3 flashable file ready (.rar or .md5) -- you can find it in samfirmware.com if you don't have one yet.
1b. Download this pitfile from following link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=631856&d=1308653969
1c. Download this dbdata from the following link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=935230&d=1331091172
2. Start Odin - put the .md5 to PDA
Put the pitfile from step 1b to the PIT
Check re-partition. Leave everything else as is.
3. Go to download mode on the G-tab, connect to ur computer
and click start on Odin. It takes about 6 to 7 minutes to do the flashing.Once done flashing it will reboot but mostlikely you still have problems with your tab.
4. Reboot to download mode again. Reset Odin (make sure re-partition unchecked), put dbdata from step 1c to PDA, leave everything else as is. Reconnect your G-Tab to computer, click start on Odin.
5. When Dbdata is successfully put into your G-tab, reboot to recovery mode, do a factory reset wipe, and data cache wipe.
Reboot system, wait for about 5 minutes for the tab to boot up, you should be all set.
go back CM9,CM10,ICS from gingerbread
Hollo Guys,
i did the upgrade GT-P1000(gingerbread) to ics by cm9mod its come and run smoothly, but i lost my wifi, pakagedata connection, myfile option and most useful options are gone, so atlast i deside to to back original version, follow are the very useful and really work for me, if anybody bowing on cm9mod and go back original version, just click as follow.

Hope you guys can help me.
Was updating my ICS (Criskelorom) to JB 4.1.2 XXLT6 ROM of Philz (PhilZ-cwm6-XXLT6-XSA-5.06.1.tar.md5) via Odin 3.07. Initially had some issues but, managed to get to where Odin resulted in a PASS. On REBOOT I only get up to the Samsung Galaxy GT-N7000 screen with a yellow ! triangle at the bottom. I was able to get to both Recovery and Download modes but would never get passed to homescreen and just stay on black screen.
Did it several times and got worried I'd brick my phone so I ran the ICS zip I had stored on my SD via Recovery mode and was able to get my phone running. Still want to pursue my JB upgrade though but, not sure if I was doing it right. Any help would be much appreciated guys.
Here is what I did...
MADE SURE OF THE FF.:
1) Install USB driver for Samsung Galaxy Note to transfer files between the phone and the computer using download of KIES from Samsung site
2) Enable USB Debugging Mode on the phone to connect the Android device with the computer
3) created a back-up of my contacts only
4) charged to above 80% battery charge
5) The phone should be factory unlocked and not locked to any particular carrier - I had unlocked it during my ICS upgrade from the GB original OS
THEN FOLLOWED THE STEPS:
Step-1: Download PhilZ-cwm6-XXLT6-XSA-5.06.1.tar.md5 for Samsung Galaxy Note to the computer
Step-2: Download Odin 3.07 which will help to install the root package on the phone. Extract the Odin zip to get Odin3 v3.07.exe file with some other files
Step-3: Place the Galaxy Note into Download Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down, Home and Power buttons together until a construction Android robot appears on the phone's screen. Now press the Volume Up button to continue to enter into Download Mode
Step-4: Run Odin3 v3.07.exe as an Administrator
Step-5: Connect the Note to the computer using USB cable while it is in the Download Mode. Wait for some time until Odin detects the phone. When the device is connected successfully, the ID: COM box in Odin will turn yellow with the COM port number. Also, the successful connection will be indicated by a message saying Added in Odin.
Note: If the Added message does not come then try another US port, try the one located at the back side of the computer. If Odin still fails to detect the device then re-install USB driver
Step-6: In Odin, click the PDA button and select the PhilZ-cwm6-XXLT6-XSA-5.06.1.tar.md5 file
Step-7: Now configure the Odin settings. Ensure that the Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time checkboxes are selected in Odin. As for the Re-Partition, uncheck the option
Step-8: Once everything is set, click the Start button in Odin. The installation should begin now and would take about few minutes to complete
Step-9: When the installation process is completed the phone will restart automatically. And soon a PASS message with green background will appear in the Odin indicating successful installation. After the home screen appears on the phone, unplug the USB cable from the device to disconnect it from the computer
Was able to reach Step-9 but my phone would not get to home screen.
Please help me with any advise anyone can give me?
thanks.
By the way, saw another option for Steps 5-6:
Step-5: Connect your Note N7000 with your PC using a data cable. Once the device is successfully connected, you will see a notification in Odin in the bottom left saying Added!! - if for some reason, you do not see the said notification, try another USB port. Also, check for ID:COM port being depicted by a number in yellow to make sure that you have successfully added your device.
Select the following files in Odin at their respective tabs from extracted XXLT6 firmware folder:
Step-6:
Click the PDA button to select the .tar file extracted earlier.
Click the Phone button, and select file with *modem* in its name (ignore, if this file does not file exist).
Next, click the CSC button, and select file with *csc* in its name (ignore, if this file does not file exist).
Click the PIT button to select the .pit file. (ignore, if this file does not file exist).
Ensure that Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time are the only options selected in Odin window. Also ensure to select Re-Partition checkbox only if you are using a .pit file.
Except since I only had the TAR file I ignored the rest so I assumed I was doing it right up to that point. Also, the YELLOW highlight in Odin 3.07, wasn't yellow but kind of light blue.
That was it. All I did. Still, not succesful.
Please help.
Thanks.
Phew! That's a lot to read.. The file you are trying to flash is just a kernel not a whole rom. That's why your phone after the flash has a JB kernel and ICS rom. That's why the phone does not boot. To upgrade to JB, download a stock rom from sammobile.com and flash it using Odin the same way just in PDA of Odin.

Sorry about the read. =)
Was thinking I'd rather be complete than have anyone helping need to ask more clarifications to help me. =D
Oh that's why. Thanks for the reply. I will do that.
So I need to get the WHOLE ROM from the site you mentioned. A ROM that is complete, Kernel and all. Actually I thought I did get a complete ROM. Did not realize it was just a Kernel. What would be the best way to determine if a ROM is complete? What is usually the size of the file itself? The one I downloaded was like 8MB so I thought that was pretty big. Kinda looked for awhile for that XXLT6 original JB ROM so didn't stop to think if it was just a Kernel. My bad.
By the way, are the ROMs on Sammobile rooted? Or do I need to root them?
thanks again!

They are just stock roms, to root again use the philz kernel but for jb this time. Also use the .zip this time instead of tar file, you can flash the zip file from stock recovery itself. You can raed more in philz kernel thread

Got it, thank you Sirs you've all been a very big help. I ran into some issues with TW right after completing the install of 4.1.2. Every darn thing was stopping even acore and TW. Was about to chicken out and go back to my safety ICS ROM when I got to read some stuff about needing to Clear/Reset on Recovery mode after any firmware flashing as well as Clearing the Cache so I did. And voila, it worked. I think I'll rest my worrying brain for now on the root. =P
I'll root it next week. I'll just have fun with it for now. Been up playing around with this for over 24hours now. Having too much fun but already drained.
Thank you again for you help!
same situation here...!!!
hello XDA ppl...
I had ICS 4.0.4 and attempted to use PhilZ-cwm6-XXLTA-ATL-5.15.0.tar.md5.
That took me to the same situation I think... kernel for JB and ICS ROM...
I power on my phone and it gets to a GT-N7000 Note + Yellow Triangle screen and NO MORE!
I can get to PhilZ Recovery Mode or ODIN Download Mode.
That´s all...
I will attempt right now what you told the creator of this thread and update if it helped.
any help is welcome...
FIXED!!!
AWESOME!!!
My bot is back again!!!
Thanks a lot guys...
This thread worked as a charm. :victory:
1. Odin 3.0.X
2. Factory Firmware
3. Flash it as PDA.
4. No yellow triangle.
5. Removed battery and waited 5 seconds.
6. recovery mode.
7. clear data/factory reset.
Done!

Safest way to get to JB with wipe (that is formatting) is to get philz kernel for ICS and then reboot to recovery do factory reset and wipe /system /data /internal storage /cache and then reboot to download mode and flash JB from odin. Else if you dont want to loose data, just boot into download mode and flash JB using odin.

Yeah!! May be you want to start by not wiping on a stock ICS kernel.
