SO i've noticed that when I use a camera or some types of apps. My revo seems very laggy. But becomes extremely fast when I reboot it. Is there any reason why this happens? I force closed all my running apps, still sluggish.
Maybe when they're closed they're not giving the system back all of the memory they'd claimed. Maybe it'd show up in in system settings > applications > running services. Mine shows 80 mb free and it's running well at the moment.

I've looked in both the Running applications and in the Rom Tool Box's running application. \:
One fix I found was going into camera and pressing "back" seemed to alleviate the lag.
I haven't noticed any slowdowns since going back to the stock kernel.
My last uptime was >120 hours with no slowdowns. I only shut it down because I had to go into a courtroom this morning. Ah, jury duty!

Hi. I'm using jellybam 4.1.0 and I have to say I have problems with performance control app, so I switched to ROM toolbox pro. Trying to optimize the phone, in memory manager section, there is a part called memory minfree. I think it set the minimum memory should stay free. There are many presets. If I am correct, the highest preset (with highest values) should give the most free memory as possible. But is it safe choosing that preset or it is too extreme?

May be that will force close some apps.

For u I will recomend V6supercharger, do not hack kernel OOM with out knowing 100% sure what are u doing...It cause bootloops, and drain ur battery.
here is the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276
Do not listen to people who say that those scripts doesn't work, they does, and it's good.U just need to follow the instructions and READ of course.

thanks. i tried on my previous dell streak and it worked like a charm. but after a lot of time i don't remember which are the best setings.
1. on scrolling speed i think 0 is the best value.
2. from 1 to 17 please help me choosing the best for galaxy note because i wouldn't like to make it worst than before.
I forgot the last thing. I always use ram manager pro by juwe11 because let me use less memory. Can I use that after supercharger?
it depend on your usage if you play heavy games you will need much more memory or you do alot multi-tasking everyone have their different usage.. so try them all for a specific time interval and select your preffered ones

Sunspider benchmark has gone from around 1280ms (from memory) to 803.4ms on my phone using the "Internet" browser which looks as if they have tweaked something. Haven't got any benchmark programs installed to test graphics performance.
EDIT: for comparison Chrome gets 1193ms and firefox really falls behind with 1620ms.

Whoa to 803?? That's a massive gain. That bests even the SGS4 now with its 1.9GHz clocks. I think the GS4 scored around 900-1000 range while the H1 had 1100-1200. This was anandtech.com's review, so it should be very reliable.
Yeah, I thought it was quite impressive too, here is the link for comparison of time want to run against un-upgraded phone. http://www.webkit.org/perf/sunspide...idate-input":[86,86,83,87,88,86,89,86,82,89]}

try supercharger and automatic engine flush every 24 hours - it forces the system to get rid of some unused cache.
I tried liquidsmooth rom its performance is not good at all now i changed to pa3.99 its much more better in terms of performance

im using liquid smooth rom but i think its really really good, it has all the features and ram usage? i get a minimum of 300mb free at all times except when im heavy multi tasking!!! But battery sucks. Battery goes down very fast when using the phone and also when i leave the wifi in deep sleep.

Hey guys, I just bought a HP Touchpad with the plan of throwing on android, setting it up for my kid to use for movies, music, and maybe some apps... What is the most stable build of Jelly Bean or Kit Kat that I could setup a kid friendly, capable tablet? have rooted one device (Nook Color) before so I understand the process slightly but I don't even know where to start with this. Thanks for any suggestions.
So I went with CM 10.1 and it's solid.
Which version? I'm running JCSullins 10.1 VPN fix and it's been fine for me, not data media either which I prefer. Low battery drain, everything seems to work, and used the old 2.6 kernel so a bit more stable.

The data media builds are really only 1 additional zip file (for the repartitioning) and I've had great experience so far with jcsullins CM11, smooth and no battery drain issues.
Do these roms you guys are using have "network settings" for data connectivity?

I don't see that on the CM11 ROM I am using. No wireless & network option within settings. Just Wi-Fi menu.
Looking for the same thing here. Mine are still on cm10 but I'd like something more stable. Bonus if Netflix works on it.

people still use this?
Why use resources to manage resources. Fix the problem. Don't use a band aid to stop the bleeding.
If your phones rooted use greenyfy, it's very helpful, if it's not use an app called fast reboot, it frees your ram memory being used by other apps and saves you battery, you can use both too
Greenify

I second the use of Greenify. No other app I've ever used has been more beneficial to battery savings than Greenify. Saves on data as well since the "call home" programs can be hibernated.
As the Dev of my current ROM (megalomanic14) explains in comical detail:
megalomanic14 said:
...it allows you to have pretty much any user app installed and not constantly run which 90% of all apps do run either data checks, network check, wakelocks, ect greenify says whoa now little guy you just take a nap until it's time to play ball lol

If you are having battery drain issues most likely its an app causing it . Adding juice defender will not make anything better. Use greenify if any at all . I dont understand why you are trying to improve your battery life when the Note 4 battery life is like a nuclear reactor . Even with moderate use I am charging my battery every other day.
