[REQ] Screenshots of Order Times and Shipping Confirmations (non-limbo) - Nexus 4 General

I am drafting up an email for tech sites (like Engadget, the Verge, etc) so hopefully they will feel inclined to cover this story and Google will be pressured to say & do something about this ordeal (I plan to share the email so others can email as well). Who knows if it will do anything, but I'd rather be proactive then just disappointed (and I don't have a Nexus 4 to play with). Instead of skimming through the thousands and thousands of posts looking for people who ordered late and still received the device, I would rather have it all in one place so I can link to this thread in the email. Please refrain from non-sense/filler posts so this is as clean as possible. And this is only for people that have received the device or a shipping confirmation email. If you could write (and a screen shot of the Play Store, Wallet, or confirmation email for proof) when/what was ordered as well as proof that it is shipped/ing (shipping email, UPS tracking, or a picture of the device).

Attached images. Notice I ordered the 16GB before the bumper and the bumper is in transit before my device..

I am pretty sure I am one of the last people in the world (if not the last) to get an order through, and I still got the back order email on the 15th.

Ordered at 8:52GMT. 8GB, nothing else in order. Got backorder email. Arrived on Friday morning after shipping confirmation on Thursday evening.

I realized there was no time on my shipping image. My time zone is GMT -3:30.
So, 8:02 GMT -3:30 is 3:32 PST.

xda store Kaiser shipping update?

Begining to lose all faith in XDA Store. Ordered 8 days ago as "in stock". Not shipped. Emailed Richard yesterday. He responded they were expecting shipment today to fill all backorders and have extras. The day is now over, no email of shipment notice. Furthermore the Kaiser model has apparently been removed from their site. I can only believe Richard lied in his email. That they do not know when any kaisers will be received. Any shipment they would be recieving would have its own tracking, delivery date should not be suspect. XDA store fraudulently took my money and does not care the in the least about its customers. Richard knows exactly who is waiting for their paid merchandise and does not have the decency to tell them they have problems. Is any one else waiting for a shipment from XDA? All of you that received yours apparently were simply lucky. The Kaiser is available from other vendors (yes, at higher price) and he has prevented me from ordering elsewhere. VERY Low class outfit.
The day is not over for them as I was notified at 9 or 10PM the day mine shipped. I would email Richard again and just ask if they came in and did yours ship. Pretty simple.

yes, they came in just a while ago... over the cutoff time @ the
warehouse (1::30pm EDT) . I begged them to please process them and they
will do their best.
Good news is that they come with the TomTom and the US adapter for the
plug.

This sounds a bit harsh to me. I ordered from them just a few days ago. I haven’t received any info back from Richard yet but lets be realistic....this phone is a VERY hot item and I am sure he is inundated with requests like "I ordered 10 minutes ago....can you send me my tracking number..etc, etc,etc"
Getting items shipped to the U.S. like this is not just a piece of cake. It takes a bit of time and a bit more patience. I have no affiliation with store.xda in any way but just think that the assumption that someone lied to you because you haven’t received an email from them is a bit presumptuous. So is the assumption that other stores have them available to ship immediately.

My main business is a an investment advisor. I am held to very high service standards by government agencies (your investment results may vary oower). I can not tell people i have something, charge them for it and not give it to them and stay in business very long. Frankly the few dollars I saved was not worth it. Richard knew yesterday the shipment would not arrive in time to ship and should have said so. Frankly his lack of proactive damage control is very disappointing and it is very clear they simply do not care about customers. I do thank you for those last few posts with updates. At least I have been able to acquire all the immediate accessories while waiting (screen protectors, 6gb microSD etc.)

Yes, there is no certainty that Richard would know exactly when his stock would arrive. When I asked him this same question yesterday -- about the stock he is expecting...he was candid..here is his reply:

I ordered on Sep.30 (last sunday) so it's been 6 days since i ordered and i have yet to recieve news yet. When i asked him yesterday he told me what he told you guys, that a shipment was coming in on friday and that all the backorders will be fulfilled. Since i have not recieved a notice, im guessing that the shipment came late and they couldnt send out my kaiser, what sux more is that i live in canada so it'll take a week for me to get mine, so either next friday or the following monday

why would there be any lying going on? The next shipment was coming in on Friday, as per the messages, and it did indeed come in on Friday, just not on time to be processed into inventory, prepared for shipping and sent out again. Actually, they were ready, but as you can read in the messages, there was no more DHL pickups at that time.
I feel that even with the issue that it appeared to be in stock (which was corrected), the communication has been great with anyone that mailed and that honest answers where provided. It is a p.i.t.a. to work around the scheduling mishaps with some suppliers and that is what happened with XDA receiving stock on this item.
If you were not happy with the wait, why didn't you just Cancel your order and go elsewhere and pay more? I am sure someone else sitting in the queue would be happy to receive that phone.......
PS: I heard that this issue with the stock of the phone will be fixed with a good and reliable supplier they found and also that they will offer the Tilt with contract sometime next week or so.

Thank you for you input. I email twice, only one repsonse. The lying was when they sold a product they did not have and charged my card the day of order. Anyway we will never see eye to eye on the service issues. My standards are signifcanly higer across all three of my companies.

To be quite honest, i work in a very customer service driven enviroment, and i know how things work... I know that richard himself does not control the website, but is merely an employee of the company that does, richard has no control directly on the site, he may make requests to the people that do, but thats it... every company is that way..
Richard has provided by far the greatest customer service i have experienced in a long time, he is always prompt and polite when dealing with him, and also relays the information accurately as its given to him. As with any customer service representative we are all just merely puppets on a string...
As for you, you are a consumer, as a consumer you have the right to make a purchase with whomever you choose. If you feel that you have made an error in judgement then you do have the right to take your business elsewhere... Im sure that you could cancel your order and get your money back and perhaps buy one on ebay and have it shipped out right away..

yes i had to wait a bit but i was ok with that. cause i have a smile on my face today cause i got my phone. and richard did outstanding responding to all of my inquires as well as one of my co-workers.
same here -- mine arrived today, as promised...there were delays beyond Richard's control, but when the stock finally came on friday, he told me I would receive mine on tuesday and they came early this morning..

It is the UK version and it came with a U.S. to UK adapter.

I think I posted before - there were probably 5 email that I sent to get 2 back. I went as far as to go to the website and use their form just in case something was going whacky.
And like the other poster - the purchase posted mins after I made the purchase. A week later - and it was still not sent. And I got two email giving me the "it's almost here". It wasn't until I sent a "Cancel my Order" that my phone was ready to ship... :-|

The other interesting part to this is that I bought a XDA-Membership to go with this to lower the price. That wasn't refunded. I decided not to ask for it to be refunded because I want to support this site.
Free $40 for leading me on for a week.
Mark that against my Premier order from AT&T: Ordered at 1:12AM on Friday night. 2 day fed-ex. Arrived on monday at 11:00 am (a day early).
You don't have to have great customer service when you do what you say you will... .......... ....

.. that is normal. When a credit is issued, it posts some when during the night and it doesn't appear on your account for at least 48 hours. I have seen cases where it even takes more, some warn on 30 days........
Glad you got all working now, with a deprecated Kaiser though
Yea I don't think they were doing any big time investments with your 700 bucks in those 48 hours. Hey they did you a favor you saved what 600 bucks and got the Barbie phone....Good luck with that. There certainly are alot more happy campers with XDA than not. I am certainly very happy ATT was so customer oriented for you and I think you made the right choice in phone for you,,,,,,...... )

rec'd Kaiser today, but not accessories
Came home to my phone today. YEAH, It is very nice. But XDA did not ship the car charger I ordered with it. Plenty of room in DHL box. Just emailed them to check on it. Now I will be up late playing with it.

XOSkins shipping time?

Hello, can anyone on here who has purchases xoskins in the past tell me how long it took to receive your product? I ordered 3 (N7, GNEX, and GSII) on 10-27-12, and they show "delivered" on the xoskins web site 10-29-12. Using the tracking number they gave me on the USPS site, It shows shipping info received on 10-29-12, and that is it. Do they always take this long? I emailed them about it, and have yet to hear a response.

It takes a bit of time. I forget how long however. But when it reads delivered, it doesn't mean delivered to you per se. As you found out that meant it finally got to the post office for shipment and was scanned on 10/29. Free shipping is anywhere from 2-5 business days. I do see they mention EST so they may have been hit with Superstorm Sandy. So bear with them a bit and shoot them a second email.
I can't say more than I am more than happy with them. They sent me a replacement screen protector and spray bottle for my N7 pretty much without question. And for FREE. Good company to deal with IMO.

I ordered with them, based on how i have never heard a bad thing about them. I just wasnt sure if it was them not actually getting it to the PO, or if the PO got it and lost it somewhere.
I got an email back from them today. Seems USPS dropped the ball. They are shipping me out a new package, today. I am glad their support is as awesome as I have heard XD.
Beats the **** out of Zagg's I had an invisible shield arrive damaged. It was a manufacturing error, which happens no big deal. But I contacted them about it. It took 6 days to get a response, and when they did respond they told me I damaged it and was trying to "Get something for nothing." took a month before they finally replaced it. And that was when I vowed to never buy their products again.

I was one of those over-enthusiastic individuals that made several duplicate orders when their website kept crashing. It was actually the Nexus 10 that I ordered three times, but it looks like my Nexus 4 is going to be delayed as a result. I see other people have had theirs shipped already.
Anyway, I've cancelled the dups and email them back asking how it'll effect my delivery date. If anyone else hears anything about this, it'd be good to know.
I got it too but when I called yesterday the rep said unless you cancelled within the hour you would need to refuse delivery. I don't think it means its delayed.....
i recieved this email this morning. i phoned google who said everything is fine & it was standard procedure
I got this too but it was titled 'Action Requested' which lead me to believe I'd have to actually do something to continue with my order so I called Google. The only action needed is if you want to cancel it, otherwise orders will be processed within 24 hrs.
I got a reply. Looks like we're just going to have to wait.

I had the same yesterday, but received this email this morning. I don't expect a substantial delay, but I assume that these orders aren't going to be touched today, and processed tomorrow (after 24hr) in whatever state they are left in.
I'm glad I don't have to go through the rigmarole of picking out and rejecting two package, but still... delays. :crying:

LOL I got exactly the same email, ALSO from Reggie. this is AFTER I emailed them to say I do NOT want to cancel AND phoning them to tell them the same thing and that they can process the order and ship it.
This is so laughable, especially seeing as I had just as much 'fun' with the launch of the original Nexus 7's

Had to create this thread, want to hear the excuses/reasons you got for not shipping.
My story.
Me - Calling about the shipping of my 2 nexus 4 16gb's.
CSR - Oh Ok, so did you hmmm...I can't remember what I wanted to ask ...hmm..yeah did you get a backorder email.
Me - Backorder ..nopes (I did get one but I wanted to see the response).
CSR - Oh Ok, let me pull up your profile (asks for email address), I see that your order was placed and got cancelled and reactivated within a matter of minutes and hence did not make it to the shipping department.
Me - Ok (laughing inside) but how is it possible that it got cancelled and reactivated on it's own
CSR - I don't know but that's what it shows here, but I'll go ahead and send your order to the shipping department and you will get it ASAP
Me - What do you mean by ASAP, today, tomorrow , day after , after Thanksgiving, after Black Friday.
CSR - it'll ship out tomorrow.
Me - Ok, cool (was at work and got something critical so did'nt have time to have more fun).
CSR - Ok, do you mind filling a survey after the call
Me - Yeah Sure
CSR - ummm..never mind the survey link is down , you have a great day sir.
Me - You too.
We hang up.
My first ever call to a Google made me LOL, the order cancelled and reactivated on it's own, WTF ...I thought they had world class coders out there at Google.
Share your experience and maybe we can have some fun in these times of misery waiting for the order to be processed.

Rest assured that Nexus 4 orders are being delivered based on the order in which they were received. Due to overwhelming demand we sold out of Nexus 4 extremely quickly.

Slickwraps once again more shady

Ordered from slickwraps a month ago, called fedex for the tracking number, they said not shipped, tough I have an email saying it is shipped from slickwraps, they won't respond to emails for refund or explanation.
Since it seems they look at xda at least, trying here. Really shady.
I can't believe people still use them. All these years of poor customer service and shonky products.
I bought one years ago, 1 of the cut outs was missing. They didn't even reply to emails.

We ship with Fedex FIMS internationally. If you spoke to Fedex and not the Fedex FIMS department they would not be able to help.

Got this.. from skinnova gadgetshieldz.. it dosent even sticking at the edges.. useless.. it looks better from back side but not properly covering edges.. so useless 5-10days durable as I hate covers for devices
I ordered a wrap from slickwrap on Sept 5. The website says it will be shipped in a 3-4 business day. Guess what it got shipped on 19 September, nearly 2 weeks. When I track my order it still says it is waiting for next facility. It is a month since it got shipped but no sign of the product. When you submit a request to them, they will just apologize and will ask us to wait. Such a pathetic customer service. Dbrand is so much better in term of service. Other online retailers give back the money if the product is not able to deliver in a certain time frame. These douchebags are money hoggers. Sorry for my language, but I am quite annoyed because of them. I cannot use my new bumper case which I got.
Tip: if you spot a newsletter box, subscribe, but only buy once or with periods
If you sub to their newsletter you will see how they try with the discounts (20-50%)
They might not have the best image, but from what I understand they probably make a lot of money with few resources.
