Random Reboots - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

hello everyone,
just a quick question really, has anyone else been suffering from random reboots?
My T seams to have a mind of its own, for days on end it wont reboot, but sometimes it will reboot 3 times before I can walk to my train ( 20 mins )
I've noticed the reboots to be more common when im walking or on the move ( and listening to music ) but it does do it other times as well.
this isn't the only issue I've had with this T, I sent it off last month because it wouldn't charge when the phone died completely.
anyone have any ideas?

It seems like some sort of a hardware problem. You should request a replacement if it's possible. The phone shouldn't behave like that of course.

I figured as much. I'm getting quite frustrated with having to keep sending it off. this is the first phone ive bought in recent years that isn't an iPhone and there's been nothing but issues.
it makes me sad. fingers crossed I get one back with an unlockable bootloader

Did you root it? if so which rom/kernel.
If not then have you tried repairing it with pcc? Might save sending it off for several days

i have rooted/flashed many times. and this was my assumption when I noticed the reboots. but I have also repaired and returned to stock with no luck. as for the Kernel, because of my locked boot loader i'm on the Stock Kernel.
thanks for the suggestion though

If you've already repaired via pcc, then it needs to go for service.

Asked for PIN-code

Hey guys. Four days ago I bought a brand new LG Optimus Optimus 2X. Everything seemed to be good, but after a couple of hours the phone asked for pin code. I entered it and I didn't think much about it until I noticed that I didn't receive any calls or text messages. Tried to call out/send text messages but it didn't work.
I rebooted phone and things worked as usual again. This occurs about 6 times a day, and reboot is the only way to fix it. I went back to the store and told them about the problem. They gave me a new LGP990, but the same problem happen with the new phone I got. I didn't install any applications, and I even did a factory restore with the same result.
I thought it could be the batch the store got, but they had sold several other phones of the same batch and no problems was reported by the customers. Could it be my google account/a contact or something corrupting the OS?

Don't think so. contact your service provider and suggest that you would like to replace the SIM card. It might help if new device didnt...
They should be able to send you a new SIM and activate your services on it for free.

It's a reasonable explenation, but I find it a little strange, since the SIM card is about 2 weeks old, and it works completely fine in a different phone, but hey. I'll try out with another SIM card.
Your problema is another variant of random reboots. Welcome to the club ;-)
I've it too more or less.
Regards!

Kept asking me to. I jumped over to another baseband, the 502. Helped a lot

Does that mean your phone is cured, or just almost? Anyways. Do you have a good walkthrough/tutorial about how to upgrade baseband to 502?
I used the guide at madaco. Well it havent had it asking for pin-code with the madaco 18b2 and cm7 is also stable, or so they say

Dead easy: http://android.modaco.com/content/l...lash-stock-baseband-release-1035-21-20110502/
Hm. I think I might wait for an update. I'm a little afraid that I'm gonna **** it up. Don't want my phone bricked, and I'm a newbie to android-flashing.
I flashed to cyanogenmod 7 and the pin prompt have still not appeared. I will get back to you in a couple of days when I've tested it more.
Edit: I was wrong. Problem still occurs on c7.
Edit2: I think it might have gotten a little better. It happens maybe 2-3 times per day now. So it might have helped.
Edit3: Flashed baseband to 1035.21_20110502. Exited to see how this works.
Edit4: Got a pin prompt 5 hours after flashing baseband. Waiting for an update from LG or clever answer then.
I made a new discovery. This seems to appear when I have bad reception. When I have no reception this happens ALL the time. Like several times per minute. So I really don't know what to do now.

Random Reboots.

I have been through 2 phones already, this one here is the worst yet. Within the 1st hour of use it had rebooted 3 times. Now it seems to happen at random.. the phone can be sitting idle on the table and it will randomly reboot.
Anyone else having issues this bad?

Mine's done it about 3 or 4 times in the month I've owned it... perfectly acceptable and better than my previous Android device... or my iPhone before that as a matter of fact.
I have to wonder if it is due to some piece of software you have installed.
The new phone was received today. I had only added my gmail account to it and not restored anything on it yet. it was bone stock with the exception of the account. and it rebooted now 5 times in the last 1.5 hours. The last 2 times were done AFTER a factory reset
Mine reboots maybe once or twice a week, which while annoying, I can live with.

That bad no, but mine had the occasional reboot as well and that was completely stock. It did it after resetting the vivid. The next logical thing was to back off the stock bloatware / spyware one at a time and of course the stock app uninstall is very limited, but I did what I could and it still did it. I blamed Carrier IQ, which may, or may not be true, but I blame it anyway. <G>

What I have come down to is returning it to amazon. After speaking to a very polite and helpful rep he had state they have been getting lots of returns for locked bootloaders as the main reason but also random reboots. So he gave me the skyrocket for free i just have to make sure that upon delivery I hand the vivid to UPS. I really Hate to leave HTC but this is something I cannot deal with as I need a phone that works since it is tied to my business.
I've had mine for a couple weeks now and it has done it once. Freaked me out though. It was just sitting on the car seat when I happened to look over, it shut off briefly and went to the splash. I thought about returning it at that momnet... and still am. If It wasn't so new, I probably wouldn't care.
Mine did this while charging and went away with new battery. I called HTC and they sent one out.
Bad batch of phones?
There is another, older thread on this same issue. I have experienced reboots three times in this first month, but not in the past week or so. Based on your experience, and some other issues in other threads, I think there must have been a bad batch of phones. It's too bad a replacement did not make things better.
I used to have random reebots, but for the past couple weeks it hasn't happened. Not worried about it anymore.
I don't really get random reboots anymore but it freezes sometimes while trying to lock/unlock the phone. Just emailed HTC to see if my device is faulty or if its a known issue.

I just got a call from HTC regarding a failure to help resolve an issue and the bad review i gave them via their survey lol.

Very BAD screen issues

So for some reason, my screen keeps recognizing clicks that i don't do. In another way, it clicks on itself. I can leave it on the table with the screen on and by itself, it will make a phone call, or open an app or something. It only clicks on stuff that are in the bottom 1/5th of the screen. Its on every rom, not just the midnote 2.0 that i am using.
Anyone have a solution?
Sounds like a display issue. have u recently sat on it or maybe applying pressure to that part of the screen? or it may be cause by magnets on cases etc....not really sure if it can be fixed unless u replace the whole screen entirely...
Same screen issue!
My Galaxy Note just started doing this as well. Mine is on a stock rom, and I've tried a factory reset and it hasn't helped. I'm wondering if there's some sort of screen diagnostics out there that can help identify the issue. The problem is intermittent, but sometimes when it gets going its just click after click after click on the same spot...
Nope I haven't sat on it. Do you think Samsung would fix it under the two year warranty?

After the factory wipe and reset do you check to see what applications are running? Do you have absolutely no other apps that have been installed?
There have been some early warnings of virus being written for android so I have used an antivirus program for last eight weeks and never had a problem - perhaps you have an unwelcome visitor?
Otherwise definitely go for a replacement, especially if the phone is only a few weeks old.
I use an antivirus app that I downloaded from the market a little while ago. I ran a scan with it and there is nothing wrong so I guess that my best bet would be to get a replacement. Will Samsung replace it even though I am in the us?

Open back cover, and press the OFF button for 10 seconds. You will feel 3 vibrations. Then try restarting.
Or try and flash FTF using flash tool again. Xperia phones are quite difficult to brick.
Actually, I don't know what the problem was but, I connected it to my computer abd after some time, the phone came back to life on its own.... Thanks by the way.!

Hey, Thanks for all the help people!

Completely stock Xperia z crashed and now seems bricked

The phone is my mums, never rooted never unlocked just 100% stock. She was playing candy crush or something when it crashed. It never came back on no matter how much it was charged. Not detected by pc either, sent to a repair shop and they couldn't get anything to work. Can't send to Sony because the backs been opened now so I really don't know what to do
This happened before once too and that time a long charge (about 10 hours perhaps) fixed it
This time, when connected to charger the red LED appears for almost exactly half a minute then dies out and doesn't come back

You say the phone was completely stock so it couldnt have been a software error, either a hardware piece of the phone is malfuctioning or the phone died

trying to fix it will cost more than buying a new one because you will have to buy every hardware piece and try one at a time or as a last resort you could try flashtool (but it will need debugging activated)
