I have an LT30at running AT&T's latest JB firmware. At this time, the phone is always 'on' when changing. In other words, if I power down completely and then insert the charger, it completely reboots to the lock screen instead of showing the large battery charge status icon. I can't figure out how to change this behavior.
My wife's seems to work normally, e.g. it shows the battery icon when off and charging. Same phone and firmware.
Any ideas?

I had a S i9000 with a cracked screen. I have replaced the screen and since I put the bits together the phone no longer switches on
If I place in the battery charger the battery appears on the screen and chargers normally but when I try to switch the phone on nothing happens.
Could please somebody give me any suggestions?
Is there any alternative way to switch on the phone?
Thank you
This may seem obvious but leave it on charge for 30 mins unplug then try turning on

Battery now 100% e vibrated when reached 100% but still NO power
is there another way to power up apart from power button?
Is it showing the charging sign when plugged in?

Yes. I see the battery picture and the dots flashing
Since the very first day I bought Htc One. It doesn't show how much it charged when the phone is off. The led indicator works fine and the also the phone charges. But it doesn't show the percentage charged while the phone is off and on charging. In 4.3 it's shows the charging animation at the beginning but later it just shows the blank screen when I press the power button. Is this the normal behavior?

Yeah, I think so.
I think bettery life is on lock screen though, at least whilst charging.
I found that when i power off the phone and connect the charger to charge the battery, it normally will display the battery charging icon with percentage, after few second it will go off.
But the screen still having dim light that in gray color that only can realize at dark area.
May I know anyone also facing this issue?
How to solve this?
I guess you're using omnirom 4.4.2 this also happens to me. I guess is normal but indeed not ideal...

Yes, I use 4.4.2. Hope that this can be solve on future update.
Since I got Xperia T updated to Android 4.3 I have been through problems. The problem now is that the phone can't be charged when it is turned off and I got my battery completely drained resulting in a dead phone that can't either get charged or turn on, only blinking red LED when power button is pressed. I have tried many methods like putting it on charge over night and even 24 hours, putting the tape on power button while charging (it turns on though but as soon as it pass the boot animation the battery looses its charge and it turn itself off and this keeps happening). Now I'm really wondering if someone here had faced such problem and was able to work it out so please share what you did.
I opened the phone, taking away the screw that you see when you open the Sim card and the memory card cover, unplugged the battery for about one minute then plugged it in again, and put back the screw, then charged. When it works, consider changing the firmware, for me I went back to 4.1
It is working great now.

thanks for the reply but isn't there any other way that requires no disassembly ?
My S5 has been working fine. Tonight I was plugging it in to charge for the night and when I connected the charger it said USB connected but the battery symbol didn't show charging. I looked in the battery stats in settings, it says Not Charging. I powered the phone off, pulled the battery, replaced it and plugged it back in. Now it's showing a battery with a yellow triangle in it instead of the normal charging symbol.
Does anyone have any ideas? I am rooted and I have Safe Strap installed. Right now I'm running the stock ROM.

i have had that happen before, it turned out to be a faulty nfc chip in the battery causing the problem, (yes go figure they put the NFC chip in the battery)
