Multitasking like this? - LG Optimus 2x

Hi guys, so i saw a trailer from sg3mini with multitasking in the same window, nothing new but I'm interested in how to make it work on the P990 I don't know if it works with the paranoid rom,
Watch the video.

to make this possible, i think we would need touchwiz's framework, and if we tried to port it i guess the chance of making it possible is quite low
but you are right its an awesome way to multitask on

That's what I've been thinking, but I remember I saw it with a non-samsung rom but I can't remember. And the possibility to port it from Touchwiz is very low as well

Our device has <400mb usable ram, It can't even handle some apps like chrome and you want it to play a video while browsing while using facebook etc.. I think if you want to do that you should move on to another device with more ram. Sadly the capabilities of our phone are limited by the hardware not only the software.

What files are the ones related to the lockscreen?

I'm using an JVQ rom and overall I'm hapoy with it.
But I also would like to have the SGS2 lockscreen because I really like the music controls when the phone is locked.
What are the files I should use to have it?
thanks
PS: Using a rom with lots of sgs2 apps is not an option as I feel they are a little bit slower

Why Cut the Rope is laggy?

Hi people, I'm running latest version of this game... I don't know why, but sometimes when playing the game screen starts flickering, then game becomes soooooo laggy and I even have to reboot the phone... why? I know, this game uses almost 60mb of ram when playing it but I usually have around 100mb of free ram... I'm running GamerzRom 6.2.
Enviado desde mi GT-I9000 usando Tapatalk
maybe it is the game problem. I try cut the rope and sprinkle on Gamerz rom as well...i don't have this problem.

I guess that is the rom problem because cut the rope works great for me on teamicssgs rc 4.2. You should try enabling the game mode in gamerzrom or maybe you can install gamerzrom v6.3 hope this helps.

I finally solved it! I was having problems with Plants vs Zombies too. Finally I realised that Google Maps app was causing all the problems. I unistalled it and now all my games run much better!
Enviado desde mi GT-I9000 usando Tapatalk
It is laggy on my phone two, the only way I found to solve it is cleaning all programs on ram, even if I got enough free to run it at first, don't know exactly why it happens, these was proved on stock rom JVS.

try unistalling Google Maps. If not... I recommend you to use Gamerz Rom, gingerbread stock roms suck a lot in gaming (28fps compared to 40 in froyo) but Gamerz Rom has got froyo Gpu drivers so games run smooth

You can also use ICS roms. I have never had problems with any games, I am running TeamICSSGS RC 4.2. CTR, PvZ, WMW?, all these games work smoothly and have no lag whatsoever.
Cut the rope is a low end game shouldn't really have problems.
I would change your Rom
Try trial xtreme that is quite high detail game and it runs ok on my phone.

With 600mhz and less than 512mb ram, its not possible to have a proper multiwindow experience and yes the screen is too small.
I don't think its possible since we use cm build and they don't have this feature
I think this feature is made by Samsung Devs themselves and is closed source

Yeah , we cannot have for mini.
You can get floating browser and video player from google play store. Then you will know how small your minis screen is

i really don't know what is wrong with you guys, why you even expect galaxy mini to work like a new phone? it's getting older every day, and just because we have newest android on it (thanks to highly skilled developers, who are willing to spend their free time to make it happen) doesn't mean that it will perform like nexus 4 or galaxy note 2... seriously, get a grip of reality and save up for a new phone or deal with the fact that mini is getting obsolete...

I've been using ART for a week now. Have a lot of apps, business, productivity, even third party's, but no games. I must say that I haven't had any single crash or malfunction and the system is amazingly fast and stable. I'm on stock 4.4 though. Never thought to go back to dalvik.

Same here. ART has been working fine for me as well. I don't know that I really notice it being a lot faster but it sure doesn't appear any slower either. I believe Titanium Backup, which I use, had an issue as well but a THINK they have issued an update for that.
Xposed (and thus gravitybox ) are not art compatible yet. I'll switch when that changes
Sent from my XT1058 using Tapatalk
I haven't switched to ART on my Moto X yet because I generally treat me phone as needing to be stable all the time. I did switch to ART on my Nexus 7, though, and most apps worked just fine. My Yahoo Sports app experiences a very long delay (~5 seconds) when I try to look at any individual game stats for the first time after I open the app.
My NFL Sunday Ticket app also doesn't appear to be as stable, sometimes force closing which I didn't usually get before, but I haven't done back-to-back testing to see if it's actual cause/effect.
Good to know. Im using Gravitybox and i have noticed the performance slowed down a bit. But nothing important.

So what exactly is the benefit of switching to ART?

I just switched to ART last night on my moto x and am having the same experience you detail. If an app is already open, its lightening fast to respond/open back up. But some apps when opening for the first time take longer than they did on dalvik. Facebook for instance, takes nearly twice as long to initially open.
Tip (if you havent already) - under developer options, change the window, transition and animator duration to .5 seconds (down from 1 second). Its literally instantaneous moving between apps and such.
Anyone having issues with switching to ART? Every time I pick the ART option, the phone reboots and just reverts back to Dalvik. This is on a Moto X Dev. Edition.
I switched to apps and I think I noticed things going smoother and faster (scrolling and opening-switching apps). But that just might be the placebo effect at work.
Then WhatsApp stopped working so I had to switch back to dalvik

[MOD] [SHARE] [PROJECT DARK BOOSTER] ABS Tweaks V5.0

Hello all i never used any performance mod or tweaks in my oneplus one as it has lot a powerful processor and Ram.
I used these types of mods when i was using low ram devices like Samsung Galaxy s advance.
But then i thought to use this mod with OPO. Flashed yesterday and i can really say this is working good.
I am using RRM rom with lots of mods from xposed and xtreamemusic music as well.
I doesn't feel any lag previously but touch response is some what low and scrolling is bit slower and laggy in some apps. Some app opening very slow.
But after flashing this mod i am feeling phone is more smoother, ui is buttery smooth and battery is also draining at low speed ( battery is yet to taste).
So what is this mod....
This is combinations of all battery tweaks, kernel tweaks and build prop tweaks, which makes phone super smooth in every aspect with good battery life.
After flashing mod, go to terminal eliminator and type
su
ABS
And u will see all commands follow them and reboot u r phone thats it.
And plz give feedback...

not post related , but does the XTREMEMusic work well ? i tried flashing it and lost in-call sounds
