Hi fokes,
I discovered a dead pixel in my screen and i want to send my htc one back for repair.
I already rooted the device and its running a custom rom. So heres the problem.
How do i completely turn the device back to stock. How to get rid of " relocked" ? Is it even possible (yet) ? And will it be?
Thanks !!!
p.s.
Im also looking for a RUU for CID HTC_102
You might wanna give a try to one of the dead pixel fixers apps.
Dunno if 'dead' pixels can be resuscitated, but my 2 bright pixels are now just as good as new.

Hi,
I purchased a HTC one back in May which is the one of the left. I had some problems with the usb cable
not staying so Rogers sent me a replacement device. The 2nd replacement had a Yellow tint so then Rogers
sent me a third device with the same tinting.
I prefer the more bluer tint however which is the one that is defective? The Blueish or the Yellowish?
I have searched the web and have found little information, mostly on other HTC Devices.
Any input would be greatly appreciated

Same with me (also with Rogers), and got 3 phones with 3 different colour temperatures. However, the other factors (build quality) is more important to me. When you get used to it, you probably cannot tell which colour temperatures you have.
Well I think it has to do with both phones that were sent me were Refurbished and my original one was to be
covered by their product protection plan (Asurance) however Rogers made an error and setup the wrong line on my
account so I could not put through a valid claim. So with the two phones that have been sent to me I have been
looking over them with a fine tooth comb.

Why did Rogers send you refurbished phone? How do you know they were refurbished?

The boxes that were sent to me were in Rogers "Red" boxes along with a disclaimer that they were refurbished devices.
They had to send me devices as they made an error with their "premium" device protection plan and I had a claim and the
3rd party insurance company would not honour based on Rogers error. The first device they sent me had to go back because
of the screen tint and that there was a large scratch on the back side of the device.
same issue, I've bought a black international unlocked HTC ONE from amazon.uk around 3 months ago, today I received a new HTC ONE (because the old one have a low charging issue).
I see on new HTC ONE display a strong yellow tint .... so the difference between two screens is big! .. see the image below:

so is possible that I must have to wait only for the adhesive to dry? I do not remember that with my first HTC I had this problem...
How can I try to fix? how can I check what brand of display was on the two HTC?
Had this happen also with AT&T personally prefer the cold/blueish tint. Just my personal preference. Couldnt stand the Yellow whites

As above, i was wondering if HTC will replace the phone under warranty if I have one dead pixel
I've tried searching for answers but can't seem to find anything concrete
Thanks in advance
Obviously. Just remember that there is a chance that you will get back a phone that has even more defects.
Report back with the result.
And have a chat with HTC.
Thank you
I thought it would be the same case with monitors where you have to have a certain amount of dead pixels to get a replacement
Will get onto HTC asap then as I've got an S4 now
Cheers!
If they try to deny you, make some noise. A dead pixel is an imperfection, and the One is their flagship device. They should take full responsibility for any imperfection and replace or repair it.

hey
Me and my one just fallen down the stairs about 4 weeks ago. Since then I did not have the heart to send it to Avarto (german repair center). But I am even not quite sure if I need to sent it in.
So the following is damaged on my device:
-As you can see on photo 1 the left side is definitely crooked
-The display is coming out of the device a bit (Photo 2) I can press it it but it does come out again. Touch doesnt seem to be affected by this issue though...
That are the only things I could notice anything else works fine. But what in about 3 Months? may the display come off the panel or something? What do you think? Should I sent it in to Avarto? Some other users said that Avarto just sent their phone back after 1 week repaired, other said that their phone was completely damaged...
Thanks for help!
Robin
BTW: I can still use my original HTC Case
Picture One:
Picture Two:
Avarto said that I need to pay 29€ if they sent it back unrepaired.
That's awful, I would repair it myself since you won't get warranty for that anyway!

Never experienced it before on HTC One nor now on Butterfly S. Get it. You will have new found freedom. No more constant charging, beautiful 5 inch screen and very fast and smooth. No regrets at all...miss the tin can feel though.

I know, I saw it too. But I basically upgraded because I couldn't stand the battery life. I nearly fell out the chair when I saw 3200 mAh battery.
Send warranty for camera replacement
U should send ur phone for warranty. The camera is already spoiled and it need to be replaced. I replaced my and there is no more purple tint.

What will they ask you for? How can you send to HTC Asia when they reject phones with built in batteries like the BS?
