AOSP/CM Roms are based on Android 4.2.x and the internal location for sdcard has changed from /data/media to /data/media/0
This has been done to accomodate multi-user environment setup starting 4.2.x
So when you want to move back to Sense ROM (4.2.x), you need to flash it and then while in recovery move all folders from /data/media/0 to /data/media, remove 0 folder .. then reboot and new Sense ROM should see all files.

Sometimes I switch ROM's only to find that the widgets I liked from the previous ROM are not present in the new one. Is out possible to make a flashable .zip file with the widgets I like?
Note: all the widgets I'm thinking of are from ROM's based on Captivate leaks, to be flashed on ROM's based on the same leaks (ie. Kh, kj, kk, etc.)

Just extract them from the zip file of the other roms system/app/ folder. Then copy them to the system/app folder of your current rom using root explorer or es file manager, and you should be good to go. Easy as pie.

So a week ago when the new 4.2 Rom arrived I didn't even doubted to install the Rom but after seeing all the bugs in it I really wanted to try the new paranoid android beta but after seeing it not completely yet I proceeded to try to recover my backup but now with the new mapping of the stupid jellybean it doesn't find the backup although I have confirmed its there and I've noticed allot of directories with a strange 0 & 11 what can I do?! I can't lose all my data

Get an image of 4.1.2 flash it then recover your nandroid. Save everything with Titanium backup then update to 4.2 and recover data that way.

that's what I tried but it keeps the mapping from 4.2 or well at least in miui and aokp or does it needs to be a completely stock image?!

It keeps the file structure on /storage0 because there is no recovery yet which supports the conversion from 4.2 -> 4.1.x
You most likely need to convert it manually ...

i have this two! internal storage and a folder named "0" with the same things! it just eated my internal space! T-T
happened when updated to oficial jb and moved to another roms. i guess doing the oficial install, that wipes completely the internal storage, may solve this problem (i dint did it yet btw).
try it
you dint lost nothing is just o folder data media you mast go with a root brroswer ok and move them to folder zero
Use an explorer with root function then go to /data/media

How come you can't find anything on your sdcard from a sense ROM on any AOSP based ROM.. IE. Any of my downloads , movies, pictures, documents? Any info would be nice... Thanks
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
I'm going to guess that it is because the sdcard mount point changed from /data/media to /data/media/0, but this is more of an Android version than a Sense thing.
Well I found what i was looking for but I can not open up any of my pictures apps or movies ... Oh well.. I wonder if its because I'm using 4.4.2 and my old sense ROM is 4.1.2

With the original Sammyrom it's possible to move apps to the SDcard within Settings>Apps
Which app can you endorse to use when I'm using a Unofficial ROM where this option I can't find?
I know when moving apps some widgets won't work but it will at least give me some more internal storage
Thanks for any clue on this
