I am trying to find or make a simple desktop icon that will display "Charging" when my phone is plugged in and then be invisible when the phone is in discharge.
Is such a thing possible? I can make one with UCCW that informs me of both "charging" and "discharging" but I really don't what the word "discharging to be on the phone at all times. Can I make a UCCW widget that will only inform me when the phone is charging and not when it is discharging?
If anyone knows what I am looking for, could you point me in the right direction. I hope I don't have to learn Tasker to do this. It seems so simple.

has anyone been able to tell which pogo pins are to charge and which is for media as im looking to create my own dock
i know its a long shot but could come in handy
Check this thread. Scroll down because a few posts have pictures, too.
thanks dude :'] still stumped seeing as his having trouble charging
so iv worked it out now the top pin is red i put the red and black is goes on the 4th pin only thing is it dont charge it only time you can tell is when its turned off it trys to start it to charge iv only tryed with a usb so far but im going try from mains later
edit. from running the cable from mains it still dont charge altho from the battery menu it changes from discharging to not charging so im not sure where to go from there. does anyone know where i should look
COuld be it is only designed to power the device and not charge it. Absurd I know but it is a possibility. Also I know some devices needed some info from the charger before it would charge. Could be it is requesting if it is a official dock etc in order to charge.
possible only way i could find out whats what if i had the dock -.- dam money
Might be that the pogo pins are turned off in software for now, until an update enables them.
Most likely the power you were supplying to the pins wasn't enough. Are you sure you applied 5V? How much current were you pumping? The battery, charging pins, and system board/electronics are all in parallel so you need to make sure you were pumping more current than drawn by the electronics. There may also be circuitry that prevents backflow when you use a weak charger.
Has anyone figured out how to make the phone stay in dock mode when the wireless charging hits 100%? I am getting tired of my phone pulsating throughout the night as it turns off at 100% and turns back on at 98%. My clock app goes away when the charging turns off and lights up my room like daylight. I have tried using tasker and the magnetic field sensor, but that is not very reliable. I have tried other tasker profiles but can't seem to figure out a good mix of variables. I also tried using an NFC tag on the dock and the app Trigger to start the app, but that only works when I first put it on the charger. It doesn't have an Exit Task like Tasker does.
This is really annoying and a pretty crappy "feature". Anyone?

use niteclock free
works great for me make sure you get this one:
Night Clock by
Gubbel
Can I ask why you suggest that one? I have a couple alarm apps that I could probably just open myself, but I'd like to be able to put my phone on the charger and have it open automatically and stay open until I take it off the charger. Does Night Clock have settings for this kind of situation?

a few reasons:
1: first it works with wireless charging on my nigntstand
2: turns off hard buttons
3: dims to my liking per settings
4: moves as a screensvaer
5 most important stays on after charger is full
I suppose a round-about way of solving this problem is to just use a wired charger, and save the wireless one for your desk or something, so that you don't have to worry about it acting up in the middle of the night. There's no terrific advantage to having wireless charging, IMO, so just be practical and use the wire.

I would do that if they made a dock for the Turbo. Unfortunately, Motorola doesn't put out docks for their phones like they used to. Now you have to buy a generic one that doesn't fit properly. I ended up creating a Tasker task that opens my clock app and doesn't allow it to close, so I have to close the app manually every morning but that's just being picky. It works pretty well, so I'm happy now.

I'm having trouble getting tasker to see my dock. What settings you have the mag sensor set to. And are you able to get the clock to go into night mode?

I just set Tasker to launch my clock app (Dock Clock Plus) when it detects wireless charging. I tried to use the mag sensor, but I could never get consistent results. The Dock Clock Plus app has a setting to go to night mode automatically at certain times. So I have it set for night mode from 9pm to 8am. So if I dock my phone outside those times, it stays bright.
Good night, my LG Gear R started to annoying me with a white battery logo when i charge the Watch
I never saw this before, anyone knows how to fix it please?
He becomes a little bit "hot" when charging, i cant even turn it on while charging
Thanks!
EDIT: FIXED, i dont know how but i let the watch to charge the whole night and hes working normal now
I've never seen that indicator before. Are you sure you are not using a new watchface or app that could causing the display to change?

Yeah, i just let the watch chargin at the baqse while i sleep and this morning he was "okay" the button wasnt working, even the touch. Just the signal flashing while charging lol
i'm not using watchfaces, i'm using the default LG watchface (i like it  )
But thanks anyway!
It is when watch is battery totally empty. Not enough battery to Power ON the watch when put in the charger, so it display only the charge symbol.

Oh, thank you for the tip!
Had the same, still dont know why
Iv had a little issue like this once when the watch was not fully empty
Also had it a few time when i put on charge and just had a little battery with lighting in a notification bubble (like the little bubble that tells you when you dont have connection looks like a cloud with a line through it)
Dont know whats going on but it charges and normally sorts itself out
Hi,
I noticed on the default wallpaper for the always on display, you have two variants of the background. One is completely black except for the stars at the top, and the other has a grey gradient in the same place. When the AoD activates, the gradients turns off after a minute or so, leaving only the stars. This is all fine and dandy, but when charging the phone the gradient comes on and *stays* on, even when charging is done (at least when wireless charging).
This concerns me because if the phone sits on the dock all day, then I fear that grey gradient is going to be responsible for burn-in eventually because it's not moving like everything else on the AoD does every minute or so.
Is this common behaviour? Thinking about just turning Infinity wallpapers off if they're going to be dumb like that, as I'm at home a lot and so the phone will sit on the charging dock a bunch, and I don't want the risk of burn in from that.
Well, it has been said a lot, AOD moves, and the parts that appear static, switch pixels on and off, now, it is not good to have the phone charging all the time! It will degrade your battery

I was under the belief that charging was a lot smarter these days and trickled once fully charged, explicitly to stop the degradation of the battery, which means it should be fine. Since you can't exactly turn the wireless charger on and off easily it would defeat the purpose of it having a docking stand, no?
My issue is the gradient is quite bright and doesn't appear to move. Maybe it flickers but considering the uneven brightness I just cannot see how this is good for the screen in the long run when the other 75% of it is completely black except for the clock elements which do move.
Yes, the original samsung chargers are designed to stop sending power once 100% is attained, but this is the first bad thing, charging to 100% puts some stress to the batt, the second one is, when charge reaches 100%, stops charging, as a little time passes and charge level drops, the charging ressumes, and so on, until you disconnect the phone, the optimal charge range is between 20-80 %, okay, that when being extra careful about batt helth, but search about leaving the phone connected for very long periods of time, you will find in detail what I try to say
My research doesn't seem to share your conclusions. Have you got verifiable sources on that?
Take a look at this:
http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/how_to_prolong_lithium_based_batteries
just one, there are others out there
I have a P20 Pro (CLT-L29) EMUI 8.1.0. I've had it for a couple of weeks.
I have noticed three types of charge icons in the status bar (the battery icon on top right):
- simple lightning bolt (accompanied by a "charging" message on the lock screen)
- two lightning bolts : a simple one below and a smaller one offset above (accompanied by a "fast charging" message on the lock screen)
- a longer lightning bolt with more bends in it (accompanied by a "supercharging" message on the lock screen)
I did a search on the forums here and found this thread where the two-bolt symbol apparently is indicating supercharging. I am a little confused. Perhaps this was in a previous EMUI?
Is there a comprehensive list of notification icons for Huawei phones? The manual isn't a lot of help, and the ones i have found online do not describe the various charge icons.
Here is something I found on hicare. It helped me in some things so the image is in polish language, but it says that one small bolt is standard charge, two are fast charge and one big is fastest, supercharge
/For some reason I can't upload image but I said everything
If you're using your original charger then it should be super charging , if you use another then you'll get something else like quick charging.
