I have a P20 Pro (CLT-L29) EMUI 8.1.0. I've had it for a couple of weeks.
I have noticed three types of charge icons in the status bar (the battery icon on top right):
- simple lightning bolt (accompanied by a "charging" message on the lock screen)
- two lightning bolts : a simple one below and a smaller one offset above (accompanied by a "fast charging" message on the lock screen)
- a longer lightning bolt with more bends in it (accompanied by a "supercharging" message on the lock screen)
I did a search on the forums here and found this thread where the two-bolt symbol apparently is indicating supercharging. I am a little confused. Perhaps this was in a previous EMUI?
Is there a comprehensive list of notification icons for Huawei phones? The manual isn't a lot of help, and the ones i have found online do not describe the various charge icons.
Here is something I found on hicare. It helped me in some things so the image is in polish language, but it says that one small bolt is standard charge, two are fast charge and one big is fastest, supercharge
/For some reason I can't upload image but I said everything
If you're using your original charger then it should be super charging , if you use another then you'll get something else like quick charging.

Hi Guys
I have a strange icon at the top of my phone that looks like two hands cupping a small white object. This icon is not listed anywhere i can find LOL Any ideas? When I plug the charger in it goes grey and then white when I unplug.

Click to collapse
this icon means extended standby mode is active
and it goes grey because extended standby is disabled when you plug the charger (because it doesn't have to save the battery then)
I am trying to find or make a simple desktop icon that will display "Charging" when my phone is plugged in and then be invisible when the phone is in discharge.
Is such a thing possible? I can make one with UCCW that informs me of both "charging" and "discharging" but I really don't what the word "discharging to be on the phone at all times. Can I make a UCCW widget that will only inform me when the phone is charging and not when it is discharging?
If anyone knows what I am looking for, could you point me in the right direction. I hope I don't have to learn Tasker to do this. It seems so simple.
Picked up an old 2012 version 7" Kindle Fire HD very cheap.
On some chargers, it would never get past the screen that says "Kindle Fire". (It says "kindle fire", then becomes animated and the light moves across the letters left to right about 4-1/2 times, then it goes black and repeats).
I finally purchased a different charger that would, if left plugged in for several hours/overnight, get past that "kindle fire" screen to a "fully powered on" (but not "charged") state. It still had the prior owner's name in the top corner, so it has not been factory reset. When I tried to perform a factory reset, it wouldn't let me because the battery percentage was zero and it required at least 40%. The upper right-hand corner shows the small picture of a battery with a plus sign ("+") inside of it, yet to the left it always shows "0%" and that number never, ever gets any larger.
Is this a problem with the battery or with the charging port?
If the charging port, how difficult is it to fix?
bump
My guess is battery since you show you are changing.
Thanks.
A guy who fixes these on eBay thought it might be the charging port, but I also think he was trying to sell his more expensive service (rather than just have me buy a new battery).
The ports can go bad as well and it's a pretty lucrative service for a guy good at Soldering on circuit boards.
I'm a novice at soldering, but if I knew it was one or the other (port or battery), I might be willing to give it a go myself.
If I disassemble it, are there any simple troubleshooting steps I could take to determine which of these is the problem (if not both)?
I just got this watch yesterday. When I first placed it on the charging cradle, it would make a little chime when it started charging, the screen would rotate, and it would show a clock and the charging percentage.
It didn't ship with the latest Android version. After it charged a bit, I got the notice that there was a system update. I installed it and everything went fine and it updated to build NQF430.
Now I'm noticing that when I place it on the charger, it no longer makes a sound and the screen doesn't rotate. I'm not 100% sure it was related to the update as I didn't notice right away, but I am sure that at the moment, the sound and charging screen showing the clock and battery percentage have disappeared.
It is charging just fine and if I wake it, I see the lightning bolt icon at the top, but there's no longer any special charging screen.
Note that I have "always on" disabled, but even if I enable it, when the watch is on the charger, it just dims to the ambient version of the watchface, not a special charging screen.
Am I missing something here? Is there some setting to bring back the clock functionality?
I can't seem to find the option in the settings anywhere, and I'm getting real sick of the rainbow colours coming up while I'm charging my phone.
Rainbow while charging
When I used an old charger (different charger) I noticed this error.
