Name suggestions for HTC concepts

I have a graphics project coming up and I've decided to do a concept for an HTC device. This project will include the device and the packaging. So I need a suitable name. I've decided to go with a music themed name (although others will be considered) to keep with the current flow of devices, HTC Mozart and HTC Aria. Here are a few that I have found to be appealing but please post up what you think might be a good name.

I'm just thought of HTC Duet. The marketing aspect of this is going to be that it can dual boot Android and WP7 so it might be well suited.

LMAO. Great sales pitch. But I might go with Illuminate. There are capacitive buttons at the front that are an extension to the display. Might support the "Illuminate" term.

Has similar design's to the HTC Legend, mixed with the desire HD and its non removable back. The back looks like a slim camera with the lens being pretty big

java for X8 ?

Hello,
i'm looking for a "decent" java virtual machine, or emulator, that can run some jar i'm interested in. Until now, I found this but i have some troubles with it .... do you know some other software that can run with X8 ?

no such java for x8 till now

There's only Flash Player only available for X8 atm. But you need to download and install it manually.

U can use j2me Java converter(online) to convert Java to APk or use jbed app (I couldn't do this then I was noob,a little hard)

All of them will be running as full screen, but it's better to download a high-resolution jar for better picture quality .

Gpu accell on android

Do you think that after gpu acelleration is enable throughout the whole android OS the OS will get smoother than IOS?
I think so because I was comparing the photo gallery app on the iphone 4S and on my mytouch 4G slide and the mytouch was much smoother than iphone in the gallery which is one of the few places in the OS that its hardware accelerated. Even the G2 gallery app is smoother then the IOS gallery when pinch to zooming and scrolling through the pictures
It is no suprise because it is only normal that android gpu acell will be smoother than IOS since we got more powerful specs and processor. I was also playing with the blackberry torch and windows 7 phones on the store and their just as smooth as the iphone too, it seems android is the only OS that doesn't run as smooth. And all android needs is the damn hardware acelleration to beat the iphone in smoothness and this has been fix already in ICS. I'm just waiting for the update to android 4.0 on the slide to see just how smooth the OS will run.

Not the slide or android phones with versions that aren't ICS, I'm talking about those that doesn't have HW acceleration

I read that article before but still I think they should than make the android priority thread the highest then so it would be just as smooth. If they explained why android is laggy they might as well fix it to be just as smooth as IOS don't you think so?

Atrix HD performance

I was looking to buy for 3G/Gaming/Call/Apps in performance for a good price and here I have a dilemma which is better One X vs One S vs Atrix HD?

Well the atrix HD has the snapdragon s4 processor which in a lot of people's opinion Is better then the tegra 3 quad core processor. That why I got the atrix Hd. But if you want to play a lot of games from like Gameloft or madfinger, then I would go with the one x because of the 32 gb of onboard storage. 8gb is not enough to play games because in reality you only have 4gb. And the terga 3 isn't that bad.

Try out all three phones...bet you will pick the Ahd!

$200 for the Atrix hd.
250 for the one s
290 for the one x.
But take into the fact the the Atrix hd is running stock jb with no overlay.

nexus 4

I play a lot of games on my AHD. Use the sdcard swap mods. MC4,Wild Blood,The Dark Knight Rises,etc run without lag on my AHD. I even got some extra effects like rainy effects in The Dark Knight Rises which I think coz it's optimized for Snapdragon chipset.

AHD has low storage for apps and games(5.5 GB) but Nexus 4 has a shared 13 GB for everything you have. I'd prefer Atrix HD if you have loads of songs and videos on your phone.

One S has better performance as it shares the dual core Krait with Atrix HD but has a lower resolution screen to power, and it has no SD slot

Overall Performance Issues

Aren't this phone's specs comparable to an iphone 3gs? I don't understand why the iphone outperforms this phone by so much. My phone always ends up being laggy and slow. The scrolling is jittery. I understand that it's not a high end phone but then specs seem decent.

also 3gs has a Cortex A8 Cpu rather than an A5 which DC has,but yes a custom rom and a kernel would fix your performance issues.

Cyanogenmod even made my old htc legend blazingly fast, it felt like a new high end phone(at least the normal things, games still weren't superb), developers found a way to make cm10 work on our phone, We only need to wait for WiFi...
