I have a HTC One Silver phone. It has the pink tint issue and a few days ago developed the mic issue where the noise cancellation is over done and no one can hear me on the other side. I imported this phone from the UK through a friend so warranty is out of the question. Now i'm planning on buying the Red version. The reason i'm not buying the silver or black version is that both had issues, the tint ones in the silver version and the black had the chipping version.
My question is, anyone here who has owned the Red version for a while ? Any problems ? color issues or ANYTHING at all ? Please tell me since i don't intend to waste money on a flagship product again.

I have my red version for 3 months now. No issues at all. Camera works perfectly, smooth as butter performance and excellent build quality. I don't know about others, they can have issues as well but mine's is perfect!
I finally bought the red one. No purple issues and no mic issues. Loving it i personally liked the silver version but this looks epic too

hello gentlemen's
Maybe somebody already ask these kind of questions. So I apologize in advance.
I bet with a friend, than Blue color Note is better build than Black one.
Because I saw the blue color lon time ago, only on Germany eBay., and never again ! Blue color is disappeared from selling at all
After a certain time I found the Note (blue) on sale with US warranty (maybe from Samsung) ! The price is $724. And black Note by SAMSUNG (I don't know why he post "by samsung") cost $665.
So my question is how is possible to get US warranty (by Samsung)?
And I heard the blue color build is much more better than everywhere filled black color.
Thank you for help.
warm regards.
there is no black color, only white and dark blue (almost black indeed #000001 )
I think samsung call the black one "Blue"

I heard there was no difference. The blue is just so dark many people call it black. So maybe blue is bettwr because the people selling black don't know what they are talking about.
Yup, the "black" is blue.
oh LOL !
I saw N7000(blue) and GT-I9220(black)?
How about US warranty ? How it's possible ?

Buying one warranty on squaretrade i guess
If someone is advertising a US warranty, it could be some kind of aftermarket deal, or maybe a lie?; as far as I've heard, so far the Note is totally unsupported in the US by Samsung.
Hello, there have been two gaps on my first HTC One, so I ordered a replacement device which arrived yesterday.
The first thing I noticed is, that the new phone is made in China while the first was made in Taiwan. Not a big deal, i hope.
Then, after using the phone in low light conditions i noticed that the screen is much brighter than on my first phone. I have checked the panel_id, and both display are Samsung C2. Why is the screen from the china manufactured phone brighter on highest setting than on the taiwan manufactured phone?
Also, the softkeys on the taiwan phone are white, while on the china manufactured one are blueish...
Also, when tapping on the glass with the fingernails the taiwan and chinese phone sound different, as if the taiwan phone is a little bit more solid.
Can you explain these differences? And which phone should I keep now? There is also a slight gap on the newer one, and I have chosen to deal with these gaps now. But which phone should I keep, Taiwan or China?
Thanks for your help!

Can you please tell me why you think the Taiwan phone is superior to the Chinese phone?
Also, I did notice another thing: The digitizer lines on the Taiwan phone are clearly visible in direct sunlight, where those from the chinese phone are hard to see.
I can almost guarantee you that the 2 phones from different factories does not determine its difference in quality that you seem to perceive. There will be variances even in the same factory.
I can tell you from personal experience. My friend had the milky white colored buttons, and my mine had the blueish tint. Both of them were HT34s (made in Taiwan), but his screen was also brighter than mines. I went to get mine exchanged for the white tint because I'm pretty picky about my devices too, and the sales rep there let me go through 3 different ones before we found one without the blue tint. Also the screen of all of them were never as bright as my friend's. Keep in mind they were all new, sealed devices, all from Taiwan, and all produced on the same day (HT34P). So I'm guessing the phones manufactured in China and elsewhere will have the same variances.
You will never notice the tapping of the glass and the digitizer lines when you have only one phone in the end, so really I think you should weigh what matters to you more and return the other.
Hi,
I purchased a HTC one back in May which is the one of the left. I had some problems with the usb cable
not staying so Rogers sent me a replacement device. The 2nd replacement had a Yellow tint so then Rogers
sent me a third device with the same tinting.
I prefer the more bluer tint however which is the one that is defective? The Blueish or the Yellowish?
I have searched the web and have found little information, mostly on other HTC Devices.
Any input would be greatly appreciated

Same with me (also with Rogers), and got 3 phones with 3 different colour temperatures. However, the other factors (build quality) is more important to me. When you get used to it, you probably cannot tell which colour temperatures you have.
Well I think it has to do with both phones that were sent me were Refurbished and my original one was to be
covered by their product protection plan (Asurance) however Rogers made an error and setup the wrong line on my
account so I could not put through a valid claim. So with the two phones that have been sent to me I have been
looking over them with a fine tooth comb.

Why did Rogers send you refurbished phone? How do you know they were refurbished?

The boxes that were sent to me were in Rogers "Red" boxes along with a disclaimer that they were refurbished devices.
They had to send me devices as they made an error with their "premium" device protection plan and I had a claim and the
3rd party insurance company would not honour based on Rogers error. The first device they sent me had to go back because
of the screen tint and that there was a large scratch on the back side of the device.
same issue, I've bought a black international unlocked HTC ONE from amazon.uk around 3 months ago, today I received a new HTC ONE (because the old one have a low charging issue).
I see on new HTC ONE display a strong yellow tint .... so the difference between two screens is big! .. see the image below:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/548546/IMG_0028.JPG
so is possible that I must have to wait only for the adhesive to dry? I do not remember that with my first HTC I had this problem...
How can I try to fix? how can I check what brand of display was on the two HTC?
Had this happen also with AT&T personally prefer the cold/blueish tint. Just my personal preference. Couldnt stand the Yellow whites
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

Never experienced it before on HTC One nor now on Butterfly S. Get it. You will have new found freedom. No more constant charging, beautiful 5 inch screen and very fast and smooth. No regrets at all...miss the tin can feel though.

I know, I saw it too. But I basically upgraded because I couldn't stand the battery life. I nearly fell out the chair when I saw 3200 mAh battery.
Send warranty for camera replacement
U should send ur phone for warranty. The camera is already spoiled and it need to be replaced. I replaced my and there is no more purple tint.
U can send your phone back to HTC in warranty
And your phone will be refurbished

What will they ask you for? How can you send to HTC Asia when they reject phones with built in batteries like the BS?
Hi there! I'm considering getting a new M7, since I loved Sense UI on the One X.
I've heard a lot about the camera tint. Is it only older M7 batches that had this problem? I heard that it's fixed with a software update too, is this true? I think (someone) meant the tint was prevented with a new update.
Will I get tint on a new M7 if a have the newest update?
Thanks

Make sure you buy a brand new m7 if it's available, because the later batches had no camera issue.
Also if you are buying a second hand phone. Check the camera properly in low light conditions.
Open camera, place it on a flat table/surface, it should be all black in viewfinder. Not a single red dot or tint should be there.
The Camera purple tint was a hardware issue with faulty camera modules which degraded after use and heat.
HTC replaced them for customers with un-faulty ones.
I bought a second hand handset which was still in warranty April 2014 with purple tint and immediately got it replaced for free by HTC.
Don't have any tint at all since then.
+1 to the guy above me, new ones have no purple tint issue

I got the new Blue One from best buy and it has the purple camera I'll be sending it in for repair soon
This Phone shipped with Hboot 1.44 and AT&T software 1.x.502.15 Revone patched / rumrunner works
I am really suprised to here it, the only thing i hate about my htc one is the rear camera in low light scenarios. Good luck and enjoy the phone.
With the One X, there was a hardware fault with earlier models. This could be recognised by the serial number of the device. All phones with 'HT23W*******' serial number would have the fault.
Is there anything similar for this M7 so I can be sure to avoid buying a model that will develop tint?

not without booting up the phone.
when the phone is on simply open the camera app and hold the camera against your hand you will see purple instead of black if it's bad
I just got a 2nd hand m7, seller said it has no PT issue at all and yes i am happy it didn't really had it, but quick question, is there any certain manufacturing dates that the new units didnt have the issue? The Manufacturing date of my phone is June 27 2014
I read that the batch of 2013 got all the PT issues, im kinda scared to over use the camera as it would put undue pressure in the camera hence making the Purple tint issue
