i think the battery skipped 25% most of the time. i don't know why, but it almost always went from 26% directly to 24%. maybe that's why on 23% it take somewhat longer time to go down, a miscalculation perhaps? i have no idea if it's true though.

The problem is your battery, It's getting older and older. You can try this:
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588013
and search for Li-ion on Wikipedia. Replacing the battery should be considered.
Source: my experience

My phone does the same thing, infact it's on 23% now
I'm pretty sure it has something to do with CM11

When to replace the battery?

I am on Prime HD 8.0 and the battery life is dismal. I wiped battery stat, deleted unwanted apps but the battery life is still too bad.I changed the ROM and the problem persists. So its not a software issue. My X8 is almost two years old so I suspect its the battery. Is there any way i can check battery health? The shape of the battery hasnt changed or anything. Any opinions?
Secondly, if I do have to go in for a battery, should I get the EP500 standard 1200mah battery or the Mugen Power's 1300mah battery? Has anyone used the latter? Is the higher price I need to pay for the latter justified by better battery life?

My battery does that too on custom roms (99-90% in a few mins, but it drains a whole lot less after that). And it's not even a year old. Do try to flash back to stock with minimal apps installed and check the battery drain for just 2-3 days. I do think it's the battery, but it doesn't hurt to be sure.

my battery is one year old and it runs good. try wipe battery stats and use stock eclair for a few days. and make sure you dischard it to 0% ( you can even power on your phone) than charge it to 100% on stock eclair. make sure you have turned gps off and use 2G networks if you you dont use mobile data. ---- but I think you know that already. configure wifi sleep policy, brightness, turn off unnecesary apps etc.
If you have battery for cca. 2years. - its very possible that you need to change it. And I think you should but first try whats mentioned above
Battery draining from 100% to 90% fast is normal. Just FYI

[Q] Dead Battery?

I'm pretty sure my stock battery has died after just over a year of usage. However I just wanted to check with you guys whether it's actually flat or if my phone is faulty. The battery will last about a day with minimum usage, but if I turn on wifi or data it will literally die in a matter of minutes? This is the same with every rom and I wipe battery stats. So would buying a new battery solve the problem?

Is the shape of your battery regular??
If not, change your battery not rom.
Note:due to overcharging, shape of battery may change, happened with me.
Minimum usage would drain battery so fast to 0%.

Sorry, shape of my battery? What do you mean by that?
Your battery has been heavily used. It's life is over. These are the symptoms of a nearly-dying battery. When you replace with a new battery your phone will function like normal again.

U can test the phone if is he draining power too much whitout buying a new Sga battery. If you can find some battery like Nokia bl-5c(i use it sommetimes) or some battery similar pins (+//-) to fit it in and try it on.

Try to charge your old Sga baterry in a univerzal charger,do not worry abouth overcharging beacuse it got to protect it.

New Motorola RAZR i battery drains quickly

Hi
I bought the Motorola Razr I yesterday, I been using it all day today.
But the battery is abnormally short. It drops very fast min 10% per hour to 27% per hour. I don't think this is normal for a new phone. The battery temperature is 38°c on normal use.
Am I using the phone wrong or did I get a faulty phone?.
I have nfc on all the time until 23% but after that I turned off nfc to see if that was the problem but it didn't seem to be.
I can get screen captures if needed.
Sent from my ME371MG using xda app-developers app
you need some circles from full to down then you will se the real power.
but the battery with stock rom is not so great as with the custom rom from omar or max.
i dont think your battery is faulty give it some tryes!
and at least you csn not easy change the battery by yourself

You might wanna figure out what is actually draining your battery. Search XDA for 'better battery stats' and install it. When your phone is not beeing used it should stay in deep sleep for most of the time, if not, check wakelocks to see whats keeping it from sleeping. For me it was mostly Google Now which caused the drain.
ok so the more i use the battery the better results i may get?
One of the reasons i bought this phone was because of the review on battery life e.g. http://www.techradar.com/reviews/phones/mobile-phones/motorola-razr-i-1098183/review/9
Now i have done a wipe of cache and data, did a factory reset. Charged from 10% to 100%. Getting the last few % is hard, this morning i woke up and it was still 99%. Went back after 1 hour to check it was 99% and dropped to 98% while the phone is off and charging.
Once its 100% again i will install the better battery stats as 696 suggested and post my results.
In my pretty long android experience this happens all the time with new phones, after updates.. You can do anything you want (cleaning cache, restart, etc), but it gets finally better by itself after a couple of days.
Don't ask me why, but it works like that.
Battery life of Razr i is excellent, best of all phones (incl iphones) I ever had!
Good luck and have some patience - so simple is that!
Recommended is to charge the new Phone full, before you turn it on the first time. A lil bit patience is needed, but that should help to avoid stuff like this.
And as the Guy above already posted, the battery will calibrate during daily use. It's the same, when you flash or update an Rom. You'll see the "real battery drain" first after a couple of Charges. And don't wipe battery stats in CWM, that's useless.

And also try disabling Google Now (search for that if you don't know how).

I bought my Razr i 3 weeks ago, I had high expectations about the battery, but the battery only lasts about one day and half, is this normal? I am not a heavy user.

P.S i have a couple of screen shots of the discharge graph thingy if necessary

I've noticed it on a rather old device, a htc desire hd. (running a custom 4.4.2 rom) It lastest so long on 1%.
Probarly you need to re-calibrate your battery, after that it shouldn't get stuck on 1% anymore for such a long time

Once a month I recalibrate my battery, and it will sit on 1% for hours some times, and then only minutes the next it just depends. Just let it die then charge it to 100% uninterrupted. Normally they get uncalibrated after rom flashes and if you put it on a charger but don't let it charge to 100%.
I haven't put any ROMs on my phone. I'm still on stock Rogers rom.
How do I re-calibrate my battery?

Let it die completely then let it charge to 100% before you turn it back on, that's my process.
This keeps happening to me too. Battery drains quickly then stays at 1% for several hours. Lasted at 1% for 4 hours yesterday. I've done the "let drain until powers off and charge to 100" a couple times now but it still happens

When your phone dies, the battery doesn't completely die. Phones shut down before the battery is completely depleted in order to save a little bit of the battery. So if you let the phone shut down from low power and then charge it back up there shouldn't be any ill effects.

This article is old but it explains why you shouldn't fully discharge a lithium-ion battery often! http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/how_to_prolong_lithium_based_batteries
batteries don't fully discharge even when the phones dies as an above poster pointed out. If you were to let it die then leave it that way for a few weeks is when you will start to have problems. the lower the battery percentage is before charging is correlated with how many cycles your battery has. So draining to 70% then charging is better than draining to 30% then charging. The point in draining to 0 isn't to prolong the battery but to recalibrate the software determining what the percentage of the battery is. This will not have any worse of an impact on your battery then letting it drain to 10% then charging. Batteries may actually still have up 20% left when you fully discharge them because manufacturers don't want your battery to ever actually reach 0.
If you never discharge down to "0%" then charge to 100% then your phone can never properly calibrate your battery drain. It is always a guessing game for the software so doing a full discharge cycle gives it an updated benchmark to guess off of. The effects to the battery are not that big of a deal. If you read up enough on them you will find that to be true.
when the battery gets hot, that has a much bigger effect on its life than draining it to 0. But clearly if you drain to 0 every day then that will have a huge impact on battery life because you may only get 300 cycles out of it where as you might get 3000 if you only drained to 70% every day. (rough estimates, there is real data out there regarding then if you want to know the real numbers).

I've noticed this in my Moto X. 1% lasts for a long time lol. Not that it's a bad thing but a little inaccurate if you ask me.
Ever since I've bought my Moto X, I've always let it die a few times then have charged it to 100% (full cycle) but it's not made any difference. Sounds like it's a bug in the software to me.

did you charge it to 100% without turning it on? there may be battery stats (in a folder i can't remember but you can look it up) that you can delete to cause it to relearn battery level but i have read elsewhere that that theory is a myth and won't actually do anything.
IDK the logistics behind leaving your phone off, i just know i have done it both ways and it seems something else calibrates the battery when it is off that is not the android OS i guess but is the root level software for the phone or the bootloader or something. Im sure someone smarter than i could give a better explanation of the possible difference.
I've experienced the same thing on my Moto X.
Something tells me that it's somehow related to poor battery life... But that's just expeculation.

search around for the place where the battery stats are located. I think the file just may be in the cache but I know i read somewhere at some point about the location where the software stores its battery stats so that it can guess what your battery percentage is. Search for that and clear that folder out and see if it helps. I would do this right before my phone was about to die at 1% then do the cycle if i were you. But that is just how i would go about things.

ya like i said earlier, i also did read that deleting that folder was pointless but who knows. If my phone was continuing to do what yours is then i would be trying all sorts of things that people said wouldn't work. Then i would throw the phone into beer, bc i can, bc this thing is pretty much waterproof as anything. SOmebody submerged the thing in water for 30 minutes and it was still running. So maybe throw your phone in beer as a last resort.
