Hi, I rooted my phone and installed CM 10.1.3 (stable) and Werewolf kernel, but I'm still having problems with baseband_xmm_power wakelock. And I noticed that the phone is much warmer than it was before
I attached software information.
Is there something I can do to fix this issue?
You can search. There's a whole thread for this problem and you didn't even bother to look for one.

The baseband wakelock appears very randomly...
For example, I tried both CM10.1.3 and CM10.2 in last december and had terrible baseband wakelocks (40 to 60% of battery drained overnight).
After using CM11 for some time in january and february, I went back to CM10.1.3, and now I'm using CM10.2 without wakelock problems.
I really don't know what has changed, they are the same roms, and I'm using the same kernel and baseband...
Maybe it's mobile network related (reception quality?), I really don't know...

No network related, it happens also in airplane mode.
Maybe rom related. Also kernel doesn't help always.

Hi,
I have a SGN and CM10 nightly, and updating daily.
The only bad thing for me in this JB based ROM is the heat and the battery drain (almost can see the energy flying away the battery )
As I have been reading a little bit, I think, and please correct me if I'm wrong, that the KERNEL can change some equipment behavior...
Question:
Do I have to stay with the kernel of the nightlys?
If not, what options do I have, and what are the main differences between them?
If I change it, do I have to re-flash it every time I update to the new nightly?
According to your help... I'LL BE BACK!!!!
Thanks a lot

The new cm10 kernel uses updated Mali display drivers. Currently there are no alternative kernels with these drivers so you're stuck with the stock one.

I guess you have a rogue app misbehaving. I can clearly remember when I had this problem as well: battery drain and heat.
You might install the following 2 apps, to see whether your device enters deep sleep, if you already haven't.
- better battery stats (1.11)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=15869868 and
- CPUSpy (0.5.19 beta)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28045183
Then, after you checked "deep sleep or not?", you could go to this thread concerning wake locks&battery life, a very informative thread by ahalford - and he is being very helpful!

Hey I have a problem with battery drain..AGAIN! My battery drained over night abnormally, over 20%. In BBS paerial wakelock was audioout_2. I resolved that with installing an old version of viber. After that, the phone was working almost 2 days without problem. Then anothe problem occurred.. Yesterday,I charged my phone to max, killed wifi, cleared RAm,did the fast reboot.. Over the night it used 34% of battery!!! In BBS, partial wakelock it said baseband_xmm power! How can I fix that?
I have to say, this JB sucks! This never happened on ICS...
It seems to be tegra3 issue that randomly pops up. I've found no solution yet
i got this wakelock too, factory reset did not solve it
When I woke up and so the wakelock, I just rebooted the phone and the wakelock was gone, and so far it is not a problem anymore... But I still dont know what caused that...
I keep having this problem as well. Rebooting temporarily fixes it but it comes back after a while. A solution would be much appreciated.

Same for me guys, I would like to add that I'm using the Zaiben ROM; are you using that too?
The reboot didn't fix the problem on my phone
im using portuguese 20A, and i canĀ“t get rid of this damn wakelock, sometimes it goes away with a reboot, but eventually comes back...
I'm on Asia 20A with the same problem. 26% lost overnight. Not good at all. In ICS it was like 6% overnight, lol.
Dunno but in official bootloader unlock thread it needs you to be connected to real network for some time then I would say there's a way to monitor that time and maybe this is it - maybe it disappears after bootloader unlock
my bootloader is unlocked
My baseband_xmm_power wakelock is showed in kernel wakelocks but in partial wakelocks there isnt any wakelock worth mentioning.. But over the day, when i turn wifi on and do a reboot it doesnt show at all..
Thats my biggest problem,it shows up randomly...
I have the same issue, 6.6%/h battery drain last night. And the big problem is baseband_xmm_power. I check my wife phone (not tegra device) and "baseband.." not even in the kernel wakelock. I read somewhere (forgot the site) it's tegra kernel problem, and after they install custom kernel the problem with baseband is gone.
I'm not developer but I wish lg will release kernel source now, so somebody can optimize the kernel asap

It seems to affect a lot of the Tegra 3 devices, however, I owned two Optimus G's (they're not Tegra 3) and they both had issues with battery drain too and it also had to do with the baseband. I surely hope my next LG, which may be the Optimus G Pro, doesn't have these issues.

Hello.
I recently flashed my P970 with Mackay Rom (Android 4.2.2). It's a little laggy sometimes, but mostly it works well.
There is only one thing that bothers me and that's a high battery drain while using 3G and WI-FI, espiecially WI-FI.
Currently I am using 2G and that works for me (I can turn on 3G while I need) but I have to turn off WI-FI while not using phone because it's draining whole battery only for one night. When I was on stock I had permanetnly turned on WI-FI and battery drain wasn't so high.
It's only because of 4.2.2 on this phone or it's something with this ROM?
I wanted to post in official Mackay ROM thread, but I don't have enough posts to do it.
Thanks in advice.

May be a 4.2.2 issue, I always have 3G enabled (Wifi sometimes) and battery drain is ok. Using Marvel V11 (4.0.4)
If you'd noticed, or if you didnt, check your dBm and then, note it. Also, mackay may not have WLAN tweaked, so the module for WLAN may be stock and should be draining quite quickly. So take note of that

I have enormous battery drain when wifi is ON, also when the screen is off and the phone is in deep sleep. I lose about 6% of battery without touching the phone. Tried different combinations of roms and kernels but nothing changed, how's it possible?

You have to check for the apps which are using wifi while it's on. Some apps, like Facebook, whatsapp, hangout, and many others stay on the background searching for Internet connection.. Another problem could be related to synchronization, do you turn it off when it isn't necessary?
Sent from my LG-P880 - Beanstalk 4.4.2 - Iodak 9.95 kernel - using xda app-developers app
Also, check in wifi - advanced - wifi scanning always available. And make sure it's off (on KitKat roms)

Maybe the fact that you actually played with the kernels so much, determined it to drain so fast. Go back to the stock kernel and you'll see the difference .

I already tried all different kernel and roms combinations (stock, iodak ect.), synchroniz is disactivated. I also tried to unistall whatsapp and all messagging app and ibernated apps using wifi with greenefy. wifi scanning is ever OFF . At this point I don't know what I do, I tried everything
Try an app like Networklog to pinpoint the apps using your WiFi

Try this: uninstall trickster, or the different app you're using to set kernel values, then reboot the phone (it will boot with default kernel settings).. After that, reinstall trickster, then set your custom values..make sure you're using cubic as tcp congestion algorithm, (Westwood assures smoother data transfer, but it drains battery faster, especially while you're using mobile data, in my opinion..)

If you are on stock rom then DONT set "keep wifi during sleep - never, when screen is off,set it to alwayse since sometimes this command get stuck and will reproduce know wifi delay on sleep wakelock.

I do have exactly the same problem. Using CM stable 10.1.2 with default CM kernel.
Deep sleep is fine when Wifi is on (no wlan_rx_wake issues) but nevertheless it is draining like 7-8% per hour when Wifi is on...

Hey,
just like u i have the same troubles, the battery drain was the main reason to root and start with custom rome.
For sure some rom gave me better battery but finally i figure out that wifi has bigger battery consumption than 3G alone.
So i use wifi for big downloads or if theres no data network.
In normal use (music, internet, mail...) i never reach one day without charge d the phone.
ATM, am under the latest beanstalk ROM, wich is quite good, with wifi off last night, i've lost only 2% battery
U can also try this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ijinshan.kbatterydoctor_en&hl=fr
It was working quit good under 4.3 rome like slimbean or vanir i haven't tried under kikat based ones
Hope it helps

Try CM nightlies, I'm currently using CM11 with it's kernel and no problem, wifi on all time with 1 Gmail and 2 exchanges.
I have already tried CM11 nightlies. But GPS is not working for me. It simply does not fix.
Hi! I installed the firmware CyanogenMod 11 FXP306 on your TX. The problem is that the phone is charging 5-6 hours. This is a very long time. Can somehow fix it?
Sorry for my english.
Maybe the problem in the caple
Bro how the CM11 working fine????
What about camera and vaibration

Camera and vibration work perfectly (you can even manually change the vibration strength settings), but in my case, I had a terrible battery drain (about 7% - 10% per hour). Wakelocks detected in mmc1_detect wakelock and suspend_backoff only while using WiFi, and I use WiFi a lot, so had to switch back to stock ROM.
This is most likely a kernel problem, and might get fixed in later builds. If you do end up flashing CM11, I would appreciate it if you can confirm these wakelocks while on WiFi.
