Okay. So, here's the deal. I got a 64GB HTC One developer's edition via trade. The previous owner had the bootloader unlocked, S-OFF, SIM unlocked, rooted and a custom ROM loaded (Revolution HD I believe he said). Anyways, he did a factor reset on the phone to get all his info off and when he handed it to me it was still booting up. I didn't think anything of it until I get home and it is stuck on the HTC splash screen with the red text at the bottom saying that this is for development blah blah blah.
I boot into bootloader and then go into recovery and it's Team Win's touch recovery. Okay, cool. I start looking through everything and decide to try another factory reset and after that's done I go to reboot it and it says "No OS loaded...." at the top. WTF?!?! No OS? So, then I go to the file manager and look through everything on the /sdcard/ and there's no zip files, nothing, nada, zilch, big MF'n goose egg.
I've tried everything that I know to do and haven't had any luck. So far I have managed to flash CWM recovery, but I can't mount USB storage to copy over a ROM file. I also noticed that in fastboot the device is recognized, but in adb it isn't (found this out by using the devices command in both adb and fastboot and only got it listed in fastboot). I've attempted to sideload, but that's done thru adb and the device isn't recognized there. I tried flashing it to the /sdcard/ partition via fastboot, but got an error message of this: writing ' /sdcard/ ' ... FAILED (remote: not allowed)
Sooooooo..... help would be greatly appreciated!
Output of fastboot getvar all and is bootloader locked or unlocked? do not lock it.
Also when you click install in twrp, does it show the sdcard size or says 0MB?

Also fastboot command only work in fastboot mode. ADB commands only work in recovery or when you are booted in OS. ADB does not work in fastboot mode, and fastboot command does not work in recovery or booted OS

Bootloader is unlocked. I got rid of TWRP at the suggestion of another member in a different thread regarding a similar problem. So, now I have CWM recovery.

Like @SaHiLzZ said, post your ''fastboot getvar all''
Maybe you could simply start over with a fresh install of the latest dev edition ruu from htcdev.

Yeah, that sounds like the best option at this point. Now, to get the correct RUU. My phone is OS 3.17.502.3 with Radio 4T.20.3218.13 and I found an AT&T (Cingular) RUU with the correct OS, but an older radio.

Htc one no os
Hi there everyone. I am really hoping for a proper solution here.
So the deal is.
I have got a HTC ONE used. It is provider locked on Dutch vodafone. Had really no problems until one night when I did an update and in the morning I woke up with a phone without OS. Now I already tried almost everything. Tried to push on a rom image through adb but the phone is not connected to the PC. I've been looking on all the forums but neighter the suggestions work. If anyone could have any idea, it would be a lot of help

Remove your IMEI and SERIALNO from the above post!
Stay S-OFF and don't relock bootloader.
download latest dev edition RUU.zip an save it to your abd/fastboot folder
change your CID back to BS_US001:
boot your phone in bootloader mode / fastboot usb mode and open your cmd prompt
Code:
fastboot oem writecid BS_US001
fastboot reboot-bootloader
reboot your phone in RUU mode:
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
When you see the black screen with the HTC logo, flash the ruu:
Code:
fastboot flash zip <name_of_file>.zip
fastboot flash zip <name_of_file>.zip <----- flash twice!
fastboot reboot

Hi guys, I've looked around for this but have found no answers so far. So I'm looking to unroot my phone, but have had a massive problem when using SuperCID to change my CID to HTC___001 from H3G__001 (Three UK). Instead of changing the CID by using the command, it will say "[SD_ERR] The project doesn't support SD card" Is this because when I used s-off the data was wiped or something similar? Please help the phone is bricked and can access the bootloader and recovery (using TWRP) would it be worth trying to flash a new ROM and try to sort it out? Any help would be welcome and will be thanked for any legitimate suggestion.
People need to stop mixjng up soft bricked and bricked...what fastboot command are you entering?
Sorry, I'm not 100% sure what either one meant, but thanks. The command that is issued is - fastboot oem writecid HTC__001
Anyone else have some ideas? Need to get this fixed quickly! I'm going to try and put a new ROM on it to flash it, and then hopefully I will be able to recover it properly. I have a H3G RUU from the HTCDev portal, but don't know how to put the kernel into a RUU and boot it into the phone, so if someone knows how to do this, it would be greatly appreciated if they could tell me, thank you!
At what point did your phone stop booting (what was the step you took last time it booted)?
Are you using the SuperCID command in fastboot?

Are you sure you are in the right section of bootloader??
It has to say "Fastboot USB"
Try to install the proper drivers on a windows system and go into bootloader (Fastboot screen) and run the command...
If you are able to go into recovery and bootloader, then your device is not bricked.

if you have the system booted into the rom, first you will have to issue the command "adb reboot bootloader". That will take you to the bootloader were you will be able to run the fastboot commands like "fastboot getvar all"
That will give you some information about the device

Flash CMW recovery
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2173863
use this line
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-6.0.3.2-m7.img
Download your rom here:
http://bugsylawson.com/files/file/1056-m7-cwm-nandroid-backup-cid-h3g-001-128771x/
Flash it whit ADB sideload command
that wil work
Also, I recommend you to upgrade the firmware first... Don't have the link now, but you can check on Android Revolution HD topic. On first post, Mike posted a link from where to get latest firmware, make sure to have the right CID, if not, you should follow the revone instructions to get your device S-OFF (it's extremely easy ), just check on the Original Android Development section
---------- Post added at 01:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:34 PM ----------
By the way, your device is S-ON so you're not gonna be able to change the CID until you get S-OFF

Once you have your device unlocked (bootloader unlocked by HTC Developer) you can install custom recovery (make sure to clear the cache from fastboot, can't remember the command now as I have a terrible headache and I'm doing my best trying to remember everything), then you can copy the rom into the SD or sideload the rom and then flash a custom rom...
In order to get SUPER-CID you will require to be S-OFF
Is that supposed to happen? Is it safe to assume that my mid is PN0710000 then? if not, how should I fix this?
Wait, where is written this MID?
in adb when trying to fastboot getvar all. It probably didn't help that it says getvar all failed, but I'm stuck here
Wait, if you will you the command:
Code:
fastboot getvar all
you musb be in fastboot usb.
If you're in android, you can boot in fastboot with the command:
Code:
adb reboot bootloader[/url] and now you can use the getvar.
p.s. Post it here deleting imei and serial number :)

Your version main start with 5, when the latest base starts with 3, and this is strange.
However, have you flashed some firmware in this period?
Probably there is a solution, but i don't know atm.
well, I just bought this phone yesterday (yay me), realized something was off when I couldn't OTA update (which is because of S-off), and now afraid to just flash the new 3.62 firmware because of the stars (asterisks?). could it be i did something wrong with the commands?
Try to flash a ruu for your phone
ok, I'll take a look at that. thanks for your help Guich
edit: what kind of RUU should I get? do i need to match it with the bootloader or something else, or any one of them works?

A ruu compatible with your cid
Because you're s-off and all ruu can be flashed fine!
hey Guich, I took your advice and tried to flash the RUU, but now i'm getting very confused. the flashing went fine, but I see no changes on my phone. In Settings>About>Software Information the software version is still 1.29.401.13, while getvar all shows me that the version is 3.62.401.1. Is there anything I'm misunderstanding here?
edit: do i need to unlock the bootloader for any of this?
I have same PN071**** I dont remember what was there before I have it from Ebay probly some Chinesse version but the cover say that it is PN714000, I accidently changed S-OFF to S On and flashed another rom.I cant do S-OFF anymore tried many things. Riffbox doesnt work with 714000 unfortunately.

If your bootloader says unlocked
the first step is flash a custom recovery
I recommend TWRP 2.6.3.4 from here - http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7ul
the command to flash it is
fastboot flash recovery recovery_name.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader

Hi guys
I have looked and looked but need some help
I have a HTC One which I successfully converted to a "stock" GPE with no problems, but I have found that I miss some little bit HTC Zoe for example.I can detect the device with ADB and can use oem writecid to change to HTC__001 which I need to flash the RUU.zip
I have tried tool kits and adb but I am having no luck with the following.
Changing the MID so I can flash a stock RUU
Unlocking the RELOCKED bootloader
I have S-Off
Below is where I am at the moment.

With S-OFF you don't need an unlocked bootloader tu flash in ruu mode.
so change your CID to HTC__001:
Code:
fastboot oem writecid HTC__001
fastboot reboot-bootloader
then use this tool to change MID back to PN0710000
you must use this tool from custom recovery so if you are on stock recovery, yes you will have to unlock bootloader again and flash latest twrp recovery.Unlock Via htcdev or with s-off method, as you wish.
then follow nkk71's guide to return to stock (linked in my signature below). Follow post #1 and #3 (use ruu.zip method) with 1.28.401.7 ruu.zip from htc1guru.com
Thanks for your help

Also, are you rooted?
Still no luck
Not sure what's going on....I cant install TWRP on there to change the MID or Flash a stock RUU
I tried from ADB and for past experience from Samsung also copied it to the phone hoping I could flash from recovery, but there isn't an option for that.
Cant help but think the RELOCKED flag is causing the problems.
I will try a factory reset and cache/partition wipe and start again.
I suppose one option is to flash a RUU that will work with my current MID. Then start the process from there.....

1- Why oh why did you go S-On?? You don't need S-On for OTAs
2- Why dint you read this: "---------> Note: M7_UL .401. users don't use 1.20.401.1, use 1.28.401.7 instead"
Okay so now you're S-On, bootloader locked or unlocked?
bootloader has to be locked or relocked, then go ahead and flash the 1.28.401.7 ruu.zip, then get S-Off!
then stay UNLOCKED and S-Off and take all the OTAs you like then report back
any reason you need S-On??

okay, so slow it down a little, take a deep breath and no panicking or rushing things!!! okay?
Here's what you're going to do:
1- lock/relock bootloader
2- flash ruu.zip 1.28.401.7
3- DO NOT TAKE ANY OTAs
4- use revone, to get S-Off, and unlock your phone
Once that is done report back, if you have questions, please go ahead ask before doing things

PS: if ruu.zip fails, giving "signature fail" it's cause it's not signed and you are now S-ON.
in that case use RUU.EXE: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu_m7_...1-27_10-31-1131-05_release_310878_signed-exe/
no need to "downgrade hboot", just run the RUU.EXE, NOTHING ELSE and report back with a "fastboot getvar all"

i don't think a brick is involved, but i guess i need to do some revisions about the S-On part (when it's needed and when not ), but as someone mentioned, the guide is "cluttered" already :crying:
@lspec230 any progress mate?
Hi guys, I am by no means a noob but here's what happened with my T-Mobile HTC One.
I was running the CM11 lastest nightly with the latest TWRP, S-ON when I decided I needed to go back to stock. So I locked the bootloader using fastboot oem lock after rebooting to the bootloader and since my phone was last on 3.24.531, that's the RUU I flashed (I remember now I didn't run it as administrator the first time). The RUU failed and it said that some partitions basically couldn't be flashed. Not the radio, but the userdata and system for example couldn't be flashed. It was able to flash boot though. I kept trying the RUU multiple times. At first it would keep failing the same way, but now I am stuck on the black HTC logo with the 4 triangles in the corners. I kept getting error 155 even though my bootloader is clearly relocked. Every time I reboot the phone manually it goes to the black HTC screen, and I have to insert and remove the USB cable in order to get to the bootloader RUU mode screen, but there's no option for fastboot. I can, however, seemingly unlock the bootloader and lock at my will and also flash recoveries (I still have my Unlock_code.bin and it does get accepted), but I can't get to them.
Now I have yet another problem, I can't charge the phone because I was about to try this RUU instead (5.14.531.1): http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-one-t-mobile/news/ but now I get error 120. Any idea how I can get this thing to charge and how I can fix my problem once I get it charged more again? Thanks guys I'm kind of desperate here...
EDIT: Maybe another idea would be to format the partitions manually then re-run the RUU, because I was on CM11 4.4.4 and I was trying to reinstall the 4.3 T-Mobile RUU, and maybe they were confusingly formatted for the RUU? Idk.
Okay when I go to RUU mode looking at the bootloader screen and plug this thing into a charger, FASTBOOT AC lights up, but I can't tell if the phone is charging...is that one way to charge it?
EDIT2:fastboot getvar all output:

Alright, I solved it. Solutions were:
1. YES, fastboot ac does mean that the phone is charging
2. I ran the 5.14.531.1 RUU as administrator, and it worked. Cleared up all the triangles and flashed all the partitions successfully. All good.
