I will try to help as much as possible, but that does not allow you to hold me responsible for anything whatsoever.
Step 1. Download this zip file and extract it, putting all the files in a folder.
Step 2. Download the file "One-Click Fastboot Restore.zip" and extract it, putting all the files in the same folder as the one above.
Step 3. Run the .bat file and follow the instructions.
DO NOT FIX PDS PARTITION UNLESS NECESSARY! IT WILL WIPE YOUR MAC ADDRESS FOR WIFI AND BLUETOOTH!
(Found some typos, not serious. Will fix soon)
No comments yet? I take that as a good sign, I haven't screwed up the script!
What does this do? Restore a backup from fastboot
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
I'm also curious what exactly it does. At 140k it isn't replacing very much. Does it just fix files related to booting?
Didnt run it because I'm on linux and my phone is fine, but looking at the batch file, it automates flashing the stock gingerbread rom and restores PDS via fastboot.
when I run it, it gives me AdbWinApi.dll error. any suggestions?
I ran this for ****s and giggles and it returns everything back to stock AT&T 2.3 while giving you options along the way of what exactly you wanna restore to stock? webtop, system, pds, wipe data etc. works perfectly! makes life easier really! Phone booted right up after running no problems! Thanks!

It restores your phone back to stock AT&T android via fastboot automatically. It also gives you the option to *fix* your pds partition.
It's also an alternative to RSD

Anyone has a clue? Is this a complete restore to out of the box-state?
sorry if this is a noob question. but dose this revert ext 4 format back to stock? haven't been keeping up lately and this ext 4 ext 3 stuff is new to me.
It restores it back to stock AT&T. EVERYTHING will be restored to stock.

It restores it back to stock AT&T. I tried this on an international Atrix.
Pardon my ignorance, i'm trying to restore a bricked Atrix 4G for a friend. It gave error Failed to boot SVF 105:1:2 0x1000 after bad upgrade. Is it possible to use this as a solution? How can i find that out? and in any case, i have downloaded all files, what's the correct procedure to do this?
Thanks in advance.
Anyone?

If its already bricked it can't get much worse using this script. Try it.

Well, been trying but haven't been able to do anything with it. I mean I never used it before and seems like it needs to boot into fastboot mode which I haven't been able to do.
Is in any way possible to make the phone boot into that via usb cable with this software? I installed all requiered software including drivers but it never detected the phone in that (bricked) state, not even once. The phone turns a green light when u connect the usb without battery in, thats it.
I haven't found any solution yet, only seen ppl saying to buy a new one. Is this brick really that bad that there's absolutely no solution? And it all seems to be caused by lack of SBK as ive read on the net...
Well if there's any good news I would like to hear them

It's a hard brick. I'm sorry, but it cannot be fixed. You can always try a factory cable, but so far, nothing can be done. I feel your pain
I've been searching and searching.
I have a dell streak 7 with 2.2.2. Its very corrupt. It won't save settings, gets multiple force closes, gets a wifi error and won't uninstall apps.
It won't even factory delete in stock recovery.
I'm baffled and need some help. I can't root get apps etc for some reason.
I need some help!

I'm reading up on adb and how to install it. Some pointers would be nice as I'm trying to help my friend who messed his thing up.
Thanks in advance whoever can help me.
Couple things id like to add to maybe help anyone who decides to help me.
Factory reset in the os as well as both in stock recovery do nothing.
Most of the apps force close.
he took his sd card out. I can use mine though if needed.
He doesn't care about any data lost.
Anything I delete or undo setting for example will be redone as soon as phone is rebooted or setting is closed.
Wifi says error.
It is a tmobile streak 7 my sim card does work and it gets a signal but nothing else does.
Some solutions I thought of is. Try to find a full stock os
Flash someone else nandroid.
Sbf to stock.
Hence why iam reading on adb. On my phone I use terminal emulator so I have no idea how to use sdk and adb.
Sorry if I. Sound noob. Iam to this device .

Okay I Read this already. It doesnt help me very much. I have the fastboot drivers but I do not have fastboot.exe in the adk.
The ADK does not come with it, and I've searched for it and found nothing that would help me for a dell streak. So if you could post the link to the right fastboot becuase in cmd it tells me fastboot is not a recognized as a internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
I cannot use ADB becuase I cannot check usb debugging it unchecks after I exit the dev section. Yes my ADB is setup right I can use it on my mt4gs perfectly.
Im dling the nvflash method now.
Update.
NvFlash method did not work.

I agree. Your symptoms sound very similar to what I was experiencing on my t-mobile Streak 7. I sent it to Dell for repair and it works great now. Takes about 2 weeks for the whole process.
Call Dell support and they will eventually tell you that you need to send it in after having you try several things over the phone. They will ship you a box and pay for the postage to send it to Mexico.
Good luck.

How does one get into read only mode? I ask this because hopefully he won't make the same mistake again with me informing him.

Hi all,
I totally broke my screen during NYE (alcohol is not good for certain things )
I would like to get data from my apps but unfortunately I can neither see what's on the screen or click on it directly.
My phone is on CM10.1, adb is enabled.
I used to get my data from adb once but I forgot that in newer versions of CM, root is allowed only to apps by default.
Tried to use screencast, I see the screen but I can't click.
I also tried a app called mymobiler, problem is I need at a certain point to click on the screen to allow it.
last solution I tried was to send a adb comand to backup the phone but here again I need to click the screen to confirm.
I see only two solutions, maybe you guys can help :
First one would be to simulate a click on the exact point where is the "allow" box for superuser, this would allow me to use those apps
Try to make a titanium backup within adb, titanium backup is already granted root so it could work, but don't know if it's possible ..
Many thanks in advance for your help
Just get the screen replaced? Shouldn't affect your data.

screen itself worth 250 $, I'd rather get my data back if possible and wait for a nexus 4 availability ..
I would restart the phone in recovery if is possible then connect adb using USB cable, then probably can adb pull some important files from internal sdcard.

adb is the only possible way to my knowledge..
EDIT: You can try enabling Input touches option from developers options and use mirror cast with it. I think its worth a shot.

Already tried, seems like data is not available in recovery unless you mount it ..
To mount it, I need to see the screen :/

Same thing, I have no access to the screen, I can neither see or touch the screen.
I was also thinking about getting a mhl cable to connect a mouse, but again, blind screen ..
So I just got this last Wednesday. I read through a guide, and watched an instructional video on how to root my device. Everything works fine up until the point where I have to install SuperSU or SuperUser. Now, my friend uses SuperUser so I thought I would go ahead and follow his footsteps with that. I install ViperOne, and it finishes. After the reboot, my device is stuck in a bootloop. I wipe the memory, not thinking, and removed everything. My backpu, ViperOne, everything. I look up some more guides and learn about the abd push ROM.zip /sdcard/ command and try it out but I'm getting device not found. I have an OTG cable coming, but the possibility is there to use adb so until it does come, I'd like to at least attempt.
Current status:
Can only access boot loader and TWRP. ADB is not working. I wouldn't mind running an RUU but the only file I found on it, on top of downloading it twice @ 80kbps, says there's an error and I can't extract it from the .zip archive.
I don't know what more information I should provide, but any advice on how to unbrick this would be greatly appreciated. This is an amazing android, and all I wanted to do was make it better :c
Try reinstalling drivers on your computer. You might have to do some research here to find them though. Good luck.

Try holding power button down until the bottom lights stop flashing and let it boot up.
....assuming you flashed the Sprint version.
Sorry. Misunderstood your post...ruu may be your best bet here.
via sexy phONE.
Look HERE
I did the same thing when I first got the phone. Download the drivers for the one from the htc site, also try installing HTC sync if you haven't already. I'd provide links, but I'm not at a computer right now. Try using another computer if you can. Also, try restarting your phone WHILE it's plugged into your computer, or a different usb port. That helped me get adb working.

Use these drivers, make sure to delete all other drivers. Once installed go to device manager and search for new drivers, then pick these.

Hi guys,
I have a GTI9305 with a custom ROM, and today the bloody phone fell out of my pocket at the gym and I didn't even realise and I clipped the edge with the dumbbell.
The phone turns on and I can hear sounds when I unlock and lock it etc. but the screen will not come on, even though there is not one crack or dent on the device. Obviously something has gone seriously wrong but for Samsung to replace the device I need to remove the ROM and put a stock UK T-Mobile ROM on it.
Is there any way I am going to accomplish this without a functioning screen?
Peace.
Pretty sure you can get the stock rom back on it by using Odin, depends if you want to save your info first though
