Went to ATT Device Center Regarding KITKAT issue - Galaxy S 4 Active General

I installed the OTA for kit kat and my phone lost touch control as some other threads are stating. I tried everything, odin , side loading and nothing worked so i went to device center with my active that is no longer under warranty. As soon as i told the representative that i have the active and i did kit kat update he said "and your touch screen doesn't work?" He told me they had tons of people come in today for that issue. I always look on xda first when i have a phone problem so i just wanted to write this post to warn people not to do ota because this could happen, and also for people dealing with this it is a known issue and the device center knows about it.. This guy was awesome btw he even swapped out my battery and gave me the new back cover. Its the little things in life:laugh:

How could it be out of warranty? The phone came out in June and it carries a one year warranty. That is assuming you didn't void it somehow...

Thats what i thought! It does have a one year warranty right? I was talking to a rep from att on their online chat service and she was saying that it was only a 3 month warranty which didn't seem right to me. She also told me that the unresponsive touch screen was not a "known issue". I said to her, its only been out a couple of days it can still be an issue with the update. I wasnt gonna bring up warranty with the guy at the device center. As soon as he came walking out with a shiny new (refurbished) active i was very happy and keep my mouth shut.

hm.. I told my brother-in-law to give samsung a call. seems like alot of people are having this issue.. unresponsive, burn in, and super hot battery after kitkat..

im glad you mentioned the burn in's...looked like a plasma tv when it gets an image burned into it....i had the top left of the download screen when in odin burned in..lol. the past 4 days i have been scratching my head to what i did wrong with my phone, glad to know i wasn't the only one. att really should stop the ota and fix it

The phone carries a 1 year warranty from Samsung. AT&T offers no warranty on any of the devices they sell but they are allowed to make exceptions on a per case basis. My Active has been shipped off to Samsung 3 times now since June.

Return policy on G1's with warranty?

So I got an OTA update the other day from T-Mobile. Applied the update and the phone rebooted.The phone no longer goes past the T-Mobile G1 screen. I tried troubleshooting myself and explained everything to T-Mobile on the phone to Tech Support. They wanted me to troubleshoot as well. I tried booting into recovery. I tried the home+power and the camera+power and the phone just starts and stops at the T-Mobile G1 screen.i know it's probably bricked but was wondering if anyone had any ideas. I asked tech support if I could get a replacement phone being that my G1 is still under warranty,they said no that the phone had to be returned within 14 days after purchasing it. What's the deal with this crap? Any thoughts and answers are much greatly appreciated!
Well a couple options, take it to the store, call t-mobile and tell them to eat your nuts since it was their software that bricked it or google up the corporate number and ***** and ***** till they agree to a replacement, don't curse or they will hang up on you really quickly

Yep everything he said, but also what they told you on the phone is crap. T-mo should replace it even after the 14 days. They did for me, just don't take no for an answer.

Sounds like you got a stupid T-mo rep. Call back and tell them your phone is messed up... as long as you bought it directly from them, they will send you a replacement (minus the battery, sim card, and battery cover), and you will send back your phone (minus the aforementioned parts). Done.

Nah it's cool, it's no hiding that I am on my 3rd g1, I am not ashamed to say i 've bricked, this way I can say I am making sure someone doesn't repeat mine or anyone elses mistakes.
Also mine were all within the 14 day buyer's remorse. Oh and the cutest on xda, I prefer the most handsome, meanest pimp that has ever pimped on this planet, and I got a mean limp. Return policy on G1's with warranty
Ok,so I bought the phone from a private individual but the T-mobile software is what actually bricked my G1. I was sad for about a day and am now getting over it slowly. I am currently using my Samsung SGH-t229 which was the free piece o' crap from T-Mobile. Thanks for all the response guys! I really appreciate all the comments and reading all the funny jokes and all. Anyways...if any of you have any ideas on returning the phone let me know. I keep calling T-Mobile and they say I can't return it and get a new one because I bought the phone from a private individual. Any ideas? Hit me up or let me know. TTYL guys!

WTF HTC!?! I think my screens almost dead....

hmmm... ok, let me have some opinions on this, I am running fresh 2.3.3, oc 710, clear lock screen. At about 12 noon yesterday my touch screen stopped responding, BUT only at the top exactly where the notification bar is, I know this because I turned on Nexus Revamped Pro LWP and in settings I set the particles to spawn where I touch, I have not been able to pull down my notification bar since yesterday! Ok, stop and think of how inconvenient that is! Anyways, I have gone so far now as to wipe everything and go back to stock fresh 2.3.3(no kernel or any theming) and it still wont work, oh, sometimes when I go to hit the phone soft key(bottom of screen) THE DAMN NOTIFICATION BAR JUMPS DOWN! I am going nuts trying to solve this, the phone was dropped once two days after I got it(almost a year ago) and it has had a Zagg screen protector on it until yesterday because I thought that it might be causing the problem. So there is my rant with some information on the problem stuck in there, anyone have any ideas let me know before tomorrow morning, I will have to go back to stock and unroot so I can go to Best Buy(not so Best Buy) to exchange it.

I had the same problem a few few months ago. The same thing with the notification bar would not slide down, but if you press anywhere on the screen it will. I dealt with for a day or two until I couldn't take it anymore. I reverted back to stock 2.1 and went to the sprint store to get it fixed. The technicians there never heard about this problem and they couldn't fix it. Luckily I was still under a 1 year HTC warrenty, so they just exchanged it with no problem. Hope this helps you out, and good luck.

Well, I tried 4 roms and stock 1.5 and 2.1 today and finally unrooted back to 1.5, I still am within my one year HTC warranty, I payed for a warranty at best buy(boooo!) and I happen to be out of town right now, so I go to the store here and they try to tell me I am not paying for the replacement program or warranty, AND I HAD ALL MY PAPERWORK IN FRONT OF THEM, so they finally said no we wont exchange it but we will send it off, it will be 3-4 weeks and we aren't giving you a loaner, so I said no and they gave me a special receipt and told me to go to any Sprint store and they would replace it....ANOTHER LIE, I went to FOUR stores scattered across Houston until a store even looked at it, I explained the issue and the said ok our tech will replace your screen or we will give you a new one it will be 30 min., ANOTHER LIE, 2 hours and 26 min later I was handed my phone by the tech and told that he had updated me to 2.1 and that my phone was fine, LIE. FIRST of all my screen wouldnt even unlock by touch(had to menu, menu) second I could still not get a proper response from my screen or even touch the T.B., second as soon as I turned the screen on it asked me to DOWNLOAD THE UPDATE, he didnt address the problem that he was told was there, he lied about doing the update, I lost it on this lazy ass, so he took my phone again, had it for under 3 min this time, brought it back and said here I updated it, I cant fix it, I cant give you one from our stock, you will have one in 3-4 days, again no loaner, THE UPDATE WAS STILL NOT EVEN DOWNLOADED, AND ONLY HALF OF MY BATTERY COVER WAS ATTACHED,I AM 376 MILES FROM MY WIFE AND 2 KIDS WITH NO PHONE. So at this point I just want to say, F*@# Sprint and F*@# Best Buy, I pay thousands a year for warrantys and bills, have payed at least the double the retail of my phone just in insurance(between our two lines) and you A$$'s reniged on everything that extra I pay for, when I do get my new one I will be canceling all insurance and warrantys and in 5 months when my contract is up IM GONE, you people have never done anything to honor your customer service agreements and I dont think I have ever heard anyone with a positive experience, SO F*@# YOU!!!! Ok my rant is done, just wanted to say to anyone even considering Sprint, dont do it unless you have the cash to just buy a new phone at full price if anything happens, they will screw you any way possible, been with them for coming up 5 years and they dont give a damn about anyone, RUN AWAY WHILE YOU CAN.

I've never had a problem with my service that wasn't resolved within an hour and a half by a sprint representative. I used to have the rumor and I soaked it once(replaced), my mother broke her screen and got it replaced, one time my charger port got so jacked up that they had to give me a new phone and the Rep offered to give me his old phone, ofcourse I said no and thanked him but that shows there are good folk in the company we have been buying service from for the better part of a decade.
I would gladly change my opinion if I ever saw a change in how they handle my wife and I as customers, I have just not seen it... OH, PLEASE tell me what store to go to, seriously, no sarcasm, I will go if its close(houston area), it is just very stressful and insulting to pay what we pay believing that they will hold up their end and being openly lied to...I know that my little flame out does not speak for everyone, it just helps to get it out.....XDA Group Therapy LMAO
I don't think I will ever buy a phone from best buy... If you try and have any warranty service done it seems to be a hassle for must people. Luckily I by my phones directly from sprint and I've never had a problem.

Ok, last update on my situation, I will try not to freak out, I am highly upset.
So, after days with a non-functioning phone, I go to the store and first of all, why does it take 15 min to walk behind the counter and pick up a packaged phone when I am the only customer in the store? OK, so my "New" phone came in, great right, wrong! I take care of my things, I am an adult that likes nice things and cant afford many, so when I get something I want I take extremely good care of it, my Hero was immaculate, spotless, and I have had it since a couple month after release, what they brought me was ****, it has scratches all over the screen(which is funny because he made a big deal asking me if I wanted the "screen plastic" taken off), the back cover has scratches on it, the back cover has a crack in it and is warped to the point that it will not stay on completely and there is a gap between the back cover and the phone, the metal band around the phone is loose, the hardware buttons are lose, I dont know who would call this a new phone but the poor thing has been badly abused, I almost feel bad for this poor Hero. So there it is, my experience yet again with Sprint and best buy. I feel like with the amount of money that I have payed total for "insurance" I should not be given a trashed piece of hardware. Sprint, is not all bad, I personally just have not had a good experience with them. Just be careful people.

I got my fourth HTC One today from the Sprint store, and I still have the same camera issue. After trying to deal with the dumbass customer non-support agent for an hour, I have a fifth HTC One on it's way for another exchange.
Is there any way to fix the issue short of sending it to HTC? I really can't go without a phone for that long. Thanks.

As this has pretty much been confirmed as a hardware issue, no. Sending the phone to HTC seems to be the only solution

Only solution is to send to HTC....the turn around is roughly a week or so from day of shipping to htc and getting it back in your hands...you won't get a sprint replacement with replaced camera module...sorry to second the bad news but it's one of those tough deals but in the end worth it...for more discussion check out the HTC one section topic "purple camera possible fix etc etc"...hope that helps

How do you get the camera fixed? Take it that it is HTC that is fixing the issue and not Sprint. There a webpage, E-mail address or phone number to call?

Is it only in low light situations that you are experiencing the purple haze? If so, the 4.4.2 update "Night" option in the Photo Capture Mode eliminates the purple haze for me. I can't remember if this option existed in prior versions, but choosing this option in low light conditions eliminated the purple haze on mine.
I sent my phone into HTC to repair the camera issue and they claimed it is outside of manufacture warranty because the bootloader was unlocked. I thought I had put everything back to normal before I sent it back in but I guess I missed something.
Is it true that this voids the warranty? If so, is it possible to re-lock it to where they cannot detect that it was ever unlocked? Is my warranty permanently voided now that they have my serial number? Do I have any chance of getting this fixed now?
Technically our serial numbers are logged if we've ever used the HTCDev unlock method. That's pretty much all of us.

It might of been because your boot loader doesn't say locked. If your s-off it is possible to make it locked. When I sent mine in I locked it and s-on and updated it. I got mine back without an issue and they fixed the camera.

Going from carbon rom 4.2 to candy kat 4.4 fixed my purple haze on my front facing camera
I just wrapped up a horrible experience sending the phone to HTC. I shipped it off on Thursday, January 30th and just got it back on Tuesday, February 25th. That's almost a month. They didn't even put the phone into their tracking system until Wednesday the 5th and would not cover the repair under warranty because the phone had been unlocked. Every time I contacted them to find out what was going on, it would take them days to get back to me. And when they promised action, it took days more for anything to happen. I had to keep calling in to get them to do anything and I had the sincere impression that they were just trying to get me to take the phone back unrepaired and go away. I certainly wasn't going to pay $200 for their faulty hardware design. The last guy I talked to eventually covered the repair, but only after I finally lost it out of sheer frustration when he admitted that the phone had just been sitting there for three days and was not being repaired like the previous guy had promised it was. For a company that needs customers, they were very actively trying hard to lose me as a customer and have succeeded. Because of this poor customer service, I will never buy another HTC device again.
Did you have to talk to an "RMA" to get it through? I've called them twice since the claim was denied, and the second time they told me an "RMA" would call me within 24-48 hours but usually it only takes a few hours. It's been almost 24 hours now and I haven't heard anything.

I had to send an email to someone in the RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) department absolving HTC of any responsibility if anything happened to the phone after the repair and acknowledging that the phone would no longer be under warranty after the repair. It still took them a week after I wrote that email to even begin the repair, and even then, it was only after I got upset on the phone that the guy I was talking to grudgingly authorized the repair. I'm still pissed about it and although I'm glad I'm not using my old backup Mogul anymore, I don't even like the HTC One anymore either because of this. Seriously, never again.

Are you at least satisfied w/ the repair work? Is it worth it to battle them while they have my phone, or should I just get it back ASAP. I too am tired of using my backup Nexus S.

I've only had the phone back for a full day, so I don't have a long term opinion yet about the quality of the repair, but the camera does not exhibit the purple tint anymore. Absolutely no documentation was included in the box, so I have no record of what they did. I'm not surprised. Honestly, if I had known what a hassle it was going to be, I would have just swapped it via insurance (3rd party, not Sprint's) and taken my chances. The two guys I talked to were very accusatory in tone and kept asking what OS I had loaded on the phone. I'm assuming they meant ROM, but they specifically said "OS", as if you can load something other than Android? I only had stock Sprint ROMs on there, but must have missed something when relocking the device that pissed them off. It's like they were reading from the script "How to lose a customer".
I'm actually shocked to hear so many people having issues with reps on their repairs... I've done 2 (one for camera, other for speakers) and each time it went pretty smoothly besides slight delay for "warranty voiding damage to case" which halted speaker repair by 3 days which was quickly straightened out by RMA dept following day...im personally fully stock and it seems like unlocked bootloaders/changed roms are a biggie that is basically just a hold up til it's explained/resolved...I know it's a pain but at same time users ARE warned about warranty voiding because of it...

I used the HTC dev website to unlock it, and the verbiage there is vague in my opinion, or maybe I'm just biased and I'm reading it to my favor. But it does not explicitly say that unlocking your device voids the warranty, it says "It is our responsibility to caution you that not all claims resulting or caused by or from the unlocking of the bootloader may be covered under warranty." To me this means that unlocking the bootloader may have a negative effect on your phone, and that negative effect may not be covered under warranty. This does not say that by unlocking your bootloader, you are absolutely 100% voiding your warranty. The camera issue is not caused by unlocking the bootloader, therefore, it should be covered.
Am I being naive about this?

That is exactly how I read it. The wording is vague, and the actual warranty makes no mention of it whatsoever. And regardless, this is not a bootloader issue or even a software issue. It's a hardware defect. But in my conversations with the HTC reps, they were treating me as if I had physically disassembled the phone, dragged a screwdriver across the circuit board a few times, then taped it all back together and claimed it was their fault. That was bad enough, but the fact that every interaction took several days for them to do anything just really put me over the top. The last guy I talked to tried to claim that they only had the phone a week, but when I walked him through every the timeline of every interaction that I had logged, he mumbled "oh, yeah, well some of those notes are in another system that I can't see". Ugh.

Long story short, doesn't matter if it's stock or a custom rom, a few of my calls go straight to my voicemail and my phone doesn't even ring or give me a notification someone called. A few other people here had that problem and told me to just get a replacement. I don't care if it's a new or refurbished device but when I called t mobile and asked for a replacement they me to factory reset (which I did) and try turning off VoLTE and everything was going well until I had to open my big mouth and told him I rooted it. He said I am covered by the manufacture warranty if it's not rooted, since I told him it's rooted will they write a note on my account saying my warranty is voided? Do you guys think because I mentioned root, he assumed my device is still rooted?
Should I just call again and try a different person? I don't wanna lie and then have them charge me $699 if I don't tell them I rooted my phone on my 2nd try of getting a replacement....

A few other people here had that problem and told me to just get a replacement. I don't care if it's a new or refurbished device but when I called t mobile and asked for a replacement they me to factory reset (which I did) and try turning off VoLTE and everything was going well until I had to open my big mouth and told him I rooted it. He said I am covered by the manufacture warranty if it's not rooted, since I told him it's rooted will they write a note on my account saying my warranty is voided? Do you guys think because I mentioned root, he assumed my device is still rooted?
Should I just call again and try a different person? I don't wanna lie and then have them charge me $699 if I don't tell them I rooted my phone on my 2nd try of getting a replacement....

simple. factory it back dont root. so its not lying. your device isnt rooted anymore. just dont tell them you rooted. Thats like shooting yourself in the head and praying your still live. Ignore the asshole who told you about noting your account. rooting doesnt break the phone. its already defective. it makes me so frustrated to hear any rep giving the customer the middle finger when they dont understand squat about root. If you are within the 14 day buyers remorse period i suggest you call into that department and get a new one sent out.
If you want to see if that person documented anything on the computer about your root comment call in and ask about the day you where helped by him. ask if the rep can read/look into the comments if there is any notes about your "return status". Try it a couple of times if no rep mentions about any root comment and void warrenty then you are good.
You my friend are definitely a noob. You never ever admit anything. Never. And the proper fix would be for you to call tech support and tell them your phone rings once before voicemail and you wish for them to extend ring time before voicemail. That will fix your issue.

Your Warranty Is Not Void ...I'm not sure the validity of this but it makes sense per the consumer protections on warranties.

Just called and the rep said the last thing the note says was to factory restore and see if problem persist. So I guess I'll call in a few days, it's likely a hardware problem anyways

I had the same issue when I activated my note 4 with Tmo. Wasn't receiving calls or texts. Called customer service then they ended up creating a tech ticket. Because they couldn't solve it themselves, they told me give them 48hrs. And it'd fixed. After about 13hrs they had it fixed. So give them a call explain your issue DON'T AND NEVER MENTION ROOT. Be persistent don't hang up until you have an answer. And they'll fix it..

I can't blame them for not wanting to support every newbie that miss flashes or flashes a crappy rom and can't get his dialer or modem to work or some other silly bug.
Like "let me experiment and then let Verizon bail me out with a new phone everytime I can't find my way out of the mess I created"
A simple factory reset should fix all, but some destroy even that ability.
Yes they can reflash but it shouldn't be under warranty.. Should be a fee to bail such folks out... Sorry that's not popular to say but if you owned Verizon, would you do the same?
Buy a car and tear into the engine and screw it up then try to get warranty to fix it!
But I agree, if you own your phone and are willing to sign a disclaimer releasing them from warranty they should remove restrictions.
That still makes them vulnerable to folks messing with the network though.
As long as they can't tie the problem to your mishandling your good.

That's not true my first note 4 was rooted and it shows that on their end I didn't even bring it up. The lady told me to restore back to oem spec if I wanted to keep my warranty. I did and called back the next day they sent me a new phone.

The only way that happens is if you use the mytmobile app. Which is still your fault. We all know it sends back info to them about root status.

Garbled screen issues

Those of you experiencing issues with the screen display being garbled, it finally became listed as a known issue for Sprint. This is good for those of you having it! You should be able to get into a store and get the phone replaced for free even without insurence. It will say in the "known issues" area for techs to waive the exchange fee if thats the reason its being replaced.
I had the issue and the reps said it's a known issue. Seems to be related to a certain batch of phones and the latest update. They tried replacing the screen first and it didn't fix it then he went to the spring employee forum and then he seen its a widespread issue and they replaced my phone for me. Hope this helps

Yes. That is the exact issue. I did a factory reset on mine. I dont have the issue as much. Only when it gets warm. But i am going to get it replaced

Yeah, where it it displays Snow on half the screen. We just got an offical email about it today to say that its now listed as a "known issue" for the device with an exchange waiver. So hopefully any of you with the issue can go in and get it fixed. You should be able to do so even without insurence. If they argue you that you need to pay tell them to check the site...it will say "waive fee"

Thank you for this I had to argue with the Sprint Tech support last night about this and they came up with a deal to pay my insurance for a month to swap the phone out and are sending me a new one. I reset my phone as well and haven't messed with the DPI and I have even heated it up a few times and don't seem to have the issue. I also quite running Google Now launcher and don't seem to have any problems today. Odd. Almost feel like it don't need to swap the phone but maybe I'll do the Xposed mod on this one as a test and still swap it when the other one comes....
Well it looks like they went back on the known issue and won't replace for free till LG admits its an issue. I replaced out a screen and the issue persisted for a person. Makes me wonder if it's motherboard issue. I'll keep you guys posted once it becomes official.

Are there any current known issues that they will replace the phone? I am having random reboots which is very infuriating. However, I was stupid and bought from Best Buy so I am not even sure a Sprint store could help me as they can't even activate my old phone! I have to go into Best Buy for them... I don't think I am technically a Sprint customer anymore but a Best Buy one with this weird plan they got me on that "saved" me money. $5 a month is not worth it for all this craziness I am now gong through!
Anyway, sorry to hijack this thread but I don't know if the screen issue relates to the random reboots people have been having but it seems that the first batch may have faulty CPUs according to another post. I really don't want to claim insurance because I want to be positive I don't get another phone that is the bad batch. I heard LG have been sending some people new phones so maybe I will try to go that route as the likely hood of them still having stock from the bad batch is less likely then Sprint or Best Buy.
This is the worst electronics purchase I have ever made!
It's not a listed known issue so sprint won't replace it unless you have TEP. If you do just take into a repair center and have then do all their tech crap and once they see its still rebooting randomly theyll replace it. My ATT one never did any of these stuff that sprint ones seems to be having issues with.. Makes me wonder about model numbers lol

So it started again this weekend and I think it is tied to the phone being hot. If I am running intense video play back or high graphics games it will happen. I have left everything stock just to test it out and it has returned. As long as the phone is cool then it doesn't happen but the minute it starts to warm up from prolonged screen use then the problem returns. FYI.... Hopefully the new one gets here today and doesn't have the same problem.
Newest Update. I have been discussing this issue on Facebook on the Sprint page because they don't seem to understand the difference between "Warranty" and "Insurance". They are seeing it my way but does bring to light the BS they are shoveling that you have to buy insurance on your devices for things that should be covered by a Warranty. They need to review their policies on this and make things easier on folks who have defective merchandise and aren't just clumsy with phones.

Wait I thought EVERYONE was having this issue. If you get the patch of visual "snow" on your screen occasionally, you're saying the phone should be replaced completely?
My phone also gets REALLY hot sometimes. Pretty annoying. Obviously tanks the battery

I had the same issue where the screen would get garbled, show different colors (pink/purple/blue/green etc..) all screwed up. The camera app would crash when I would constantly switch from front facing to rear facing camera. My device got really slow had to reset/reformat it a few times. I thought it was due to rooting it or whatnot. I don't think that was it. I think it was a bad batch. I sent it in to LG two weeks ago and got it back today. Their message back on the paper was replaced flash/memory.
They actually sent me a completely new device. I think the touch screen issues are gone as well as the original issue. This feels like a brand new device not part of a bad batch. I'm glad I sent it in. You should do the same. It's probably part of the same problem posted in this thread. I'm a happy camper now.

The issue I have is that I shouldn't have to pay insurance for a company to warranty something they sold me. If I didn't break the device then they should be the one to handle it for me with the manufacturer that they represent. I shouldn't have to go back to the manufacturer because they didn't sell me the device. If I had dunked it or broken it I agree I should have to pay out of pocket but that's not what happened.
This answer explains it and since I am already paying Sprint for cell service I shouldn't have to be inconvenienced as the customer to get a warranty item taken care of.

A Google answers thread isn't policy. Sprint guaranteed the phone to work in the first 14 as per policy. The warranty you're claiming is a manufacturing one, not sprints warranty. It's lgs warranty for a year.

Here's a straight answer to your issue with warranty vs insurance.
THE WARRANTY IS THROUGH LG. They are the only ones who guarantee the phone to work for a year.
Sprint Asurion insurance: Will cover your phone for 2 repairs/replacements for free in a year, after that 25 dollars a repair or replacement, and if you have a lost, stolen, water damaged, or cracked display over an inch will be a deductible.
If you don't have TEP, then after 14 days Sprint will not cover replacements for your device UNLESS its a KNOWN ISSUE. As of right now, Sprint doesn't have anything officially listed as known issue till LG admits they have a problem and work out a deal with sprint to pay for the replacements.
You're arguing that Sprint has to honor LG's warranty, which is simple not the case. If that was the case Sprint wouldn't offer insurance at all.
I appreciate your take on things and having been with other more expensive carriers the question of insurance is a matter of perspective. With At&t within the first year they will just swap the phone out. Now this may be because they charge you more for their service and as they see it they would rather reduce the hassle and take care of the device with the manufacturer. With Sprint they have chosen to try and compete on a price model that requires that they charge for insurance as they don't have the money built into the plans to cover these sorts of issues. They may never admit that openly but in seeing how the two companies have addressed similar issues that would be the appearance of it.
Either way I now know that if it want to have anything close to the device coverage I had with At&t then I have to pay for Sprint "Insurance" so be it.
I am having the vertical split screen issue as well...it's just started happening and I am up to 1 month of ownership. Where is the best place to go to inquire about an LG warranty replacement?
