So in my insomnia, and my quest to figure out the connectivity issues plaguing our handsets, I have figured out that the logical explanation is that there are two entirely different issues at hand here. I figured this out by finding the tower my phone was connected to, I then drove into the range of four other towers in my area, when I was on 3 of the 5 towers I had no issues, and my phone ran like a champ, the tower nearest my house, and the 5th tower near my girlfriends house both had the suspected CSFB or other network issue
Issue number one: When you are at home or work you do not have data, or voice, or have minimal data and voice and delayed text messages, however when you get a little ways away your device will connect fully to the networks on a separate tower...this logically means that the tower near your house is having issues, most likely with the CSFB hardware or software on that particular tower, sprint is going to lie and say that the tower is at 100 percent and functioning properly, however I now have concrete evidence that they are refusing to acknowledge and resolve the problem, and are going to lie out the butt and make you do resets, prl, and profile updates to the point you will be able to do them in your sleep to make you believe it may be a device issue
Issue number two (possible): It has been commented on the forums that there was possibly a bad batch of devices sent out that are currently in customers hands, customers with these issues will have connectivity issues no matter what tower they go to, although I have no way to prove this issue, this is a possibility, and if you are in your 14 day grace period and suspect this is the issue, trade in your device.
Although this is not the most scientific method to get to the bottom of the issue, this is what I suspect is happening, and have enough comments and complaints from around the web to support the possibility that there are two separate issues happening with our devices

I know I did, I just figured this would help some of us get a better grasp on the issues at hand
I agree there are multiple issues at hand.
And on some towers my phone works perfect. LTE and all.
But when I first got it, it worked fine on ALL towers.
It wasn't until I fiddled with it (updated firmware, factory reset, updated profile, etc.) that it went real south.
Now is it a "Bad Batch" that goes south when you fiddle with it (i.e. factory reset it).
I have a brand new handset sitting next to me that I paid full price for. I figure if anything I can "Borrow it" for 2 weeks. But it will cost me $35.00 restocking fee to return it.
If they eventually send me a refurb, I'll sell it as a refurb. If they send me a new one I'll sell it as new or return this one if I get it within 14 days.
I'm not sure how much time I want to spend comparing the phones. But I feel I should try because they new phone may eventually have the same issue.
Oh and the new phone has a serial number that starts with HT instead of FA.
There is also another issue that should not be confused (but is probably related). Some folks can get by if they put the phone in 3G/CDMA only.
That does not help my case. And I don't think it's a "Bad Batch" for folks that this solves their issues.

In my case, Sprint fully admitted and acknowledged the tower issues in my area due to the CSFB patch not being installed by Ericsson at initial LTE install and has since fixed the majority of the towers in New Orleans.
So they finally have enough data to definitvley say it is my device, I took it into the sprint store again, and no questions asked, and no charge, will be getting a replacement by tuesday

I am a pilot.. Usually my signal fades out around 2000feet or so. This seems to be worse with T-Mobile. I flew with a guy who had an iphone on att and it worked fairly well at 9,00ft. I had a CDMA phone a few years ago and it would work at very high altitudes 30,000ft plus. Nowadays, I usually cruise at less than 10,000ft, but I still have no service.
It seems to me that I should get better service at altitude, but this is not the case..It seems like one might have the same problem at high altitude in mountainous regions... .I have googled this for years but never found the answer... I was hoping someone on here might be able to answer my question: Why does my cell phone signal drop out at altitude? (I understand this :http://ashsd.afacwa.org/print_article.cfm?homeID=17917 but I am on a private aircraft) I understand the rules, but they don't explain the loss of signal...
I hope this is the right place to post this and thanks for your help!

I believe that most cell sites work by line of site. If you are above them then I can see this happening. Besides, cell sites have a limited range anyway. Going straight up... who knows. But I only put my phone on Airplane mode while on flights and turned it on once (feeling rebellious) and had no signal. Of course I wasn't really surprised. Besides, cell towers have to hand off the signal from one tower to another to prevent dropped calls. If your travelling at 300+ mph I can see how that might complicate things as well. But these are just my own theories. CDMA signal is possibly more powerful than GSM. I've been out of the game for a while but again... it's just a theory.

Sure...but I am usually less than 2 miles high and usually under 200MPH..Signal usually goes out when climbing out at under 150mph...
Thanks for your reply....
I was told a few years ago that it's the association with cell towers being the problem.
If you are going over them at 150mph+ its going to struggle to keep a decent signal....
Although i can confirm satelitte phones do not have this problem (neither does GPS tracking)

I suppose I should have also stated that the same thing happens when I climb into a strong headwind and travel over the ground at 100mph or less..does not seem to be speed dependent..
I know this thread is kinda old.. but I am still wondering..
I don't think it was anything to do with speed.. I could do very tight circles in the plane and still have the same results....
Just guesswork here, but it could have a lot to do with antenna design. In a prior life I had to design a couple of wireless WANs and found a wide variety of dispersal patterns available in different kinds of antenna. By restricting the pattern you can concentrate all your available power in any particular direction. I'm guessing they narrow the vertical dispersion to get more effective signal strength horizontally. Don't know if that's actually the case, but it sounds good to me.
Since day one I have had poor wifi on this phone. It has been repaired by Samsung which has made it slightly better. I was told over the phone that a new sim card holder was fitted and a new wifi antenna.
Am I asking too much to get decent reception if my router is upstairs and I am trying to get a connection downstairs almost directly beneath the router. Every other item in the house, laptop, HTC Sensation, Blackberrys, Apple laptop, etc etc works fine in the same spot that I`m trying to use the Galaxy.
Is the wifi performance of the standard S3 and the i9305 to be accepted as being poor?
My wifi extends to 300 metres in any direction so I can use my mobile in the garden, garage and in the neighbours house.

Thanks mate, looks like its going back for its fourth repair attempt
Have you tried changing channels on you router, that may help...
Think I did try that a while ago. But I also have an access point downstairs behind the TV and it struggles to connect to that.
I`ve just bought a Netgear N900 which is supposed to be a more powerful router but its a cable router, I have ADSL. I just have to work out how to get it to work with my modem. But that doesn`t solve the problem if I`m out and about in places with free wi-fi
Looks like it's a widespread problem with S3s. Any number of changes on router or phone won't be of help.
Just found this thread where a lot of people are complaining - link below. I sent my phone for repair and all Samsung did was to reinstall the firmware. Fed up with this phone.

Not relevant to the 9305 as we don't run Android 4.0.4.
I faced similar problems with my phone as well.
However a device which am using to view from another room the cable TV seemed to be causing interference with my wifi network.
Changing the channel on that device fixes my problem which appears from time to time.

There should not be a 4th attempt. According to samsung uk. If the phone has been serviced 3 times unsuccessfully then they are obliged to give you a new phone. Seek justice that way.

Thanks mate, I`ve heard that before. The first "repair" was by Orange, all they did was look at it. The second "repair" was done at a local Samsung repair shop, all they did was update software which I had already done to 4.1.2. The third "repair" was done by a repair centre designated as "Level 3" by the aforementioned shop, which I believe is in Norwich. So I`m not sure if the first 2 repairs will count towards Samsungs definition of 3 repairs.
I`ve just spoken to them and another return envelope is on its way to me. I`ve had this piece of junk now for 3 months and I am seriously getting cheesed off, thank God for my old HTC Sensation
Go back to Orange and quote :
Under the Sale of Goods Act goods must be:
•as described
•of satisfactory quality
•fit for purpose - this means both their everyday purpose, and also any specific purpose that you agreed with the seller (for example, if you specifically asked for a printer that would be compatible with your computer)
Goods sold must also match any sample you were shown in-store, or any description in a brochure.
Under the Sale of Goods Act, the retailer must either repair or replace the goods 'within a reasonable time but without causing significant inconvenience'.
If the seller doesn't do this, you're entitled to claim either:
• a reduction on the purchase price, or
• your money back, minus an amount for the usage you've had of the goods (called recision)
If the retailer refuses to repair the goods, and they won't replace them either, you may have the right to arrange for someone else to repair your item, and then claim compensation from the retailer for the cost of doing this.
I'm also not pleased by the WiFi performance of my i9305. When I'm like 4-5 feet away from the router, there is no problem connecting. However, when I'm like 15-20 feet away, I get the error "incorrect password" "authentication error occurred". Very strange ! What's more, when I connect to the WiFi near the router, I can move around all the rooms and still have a stable connection.
Tried already :
flashing new custom Roms
the forget and reconnect trick
*#0011# trick
deleting the .cid.info in the data directory
For the rest, I'm quite satisfied of my i9305 (previous phone was an iPhone 4)

Thanks again mate.
I went back to Orange about 4 weeks ago after their abysmal attempt at repairing it. Had some strong words with somebody in a repair centre over the phone there. Despite the shop manager agreeing with me that it was faulty all they would do was repair it again. Thats when I decided to bypass the monkeys and go to the organ grinder ie Samsung, but I don`t seem to be having much luck with them either yet.
I`m not letting this go. Both Orange and Samsung will be getting a strongly worded letter from me soon. I may even contact my credit card company and try to claim a refund from them.
Definitely sounds like a problem with that particular phone.
I used to have an S2, and when I was in the bedroom, about 15 feet away from the router in the living room (through a wall), it wouldn't ever connect to Wifi.
With my new S3, it connects every time, so I'm really impressed with the power of the WiFi in it.

The orange repair attempt doesn't count unless they sent it to samsung. Any samscung repair shop is counted as a repair attempt even if a guy just looks at the phone and gives it back to you saying its ok.
Call customer service and let them know and through 'mu samsung' make sure that you intent following the more recent attempt they will do, if the phone is not satisfactory you will initiate the sequence of a replacement. They told me in the past that customer service reviews all communication and they decide what needs to happen. They even may have to have the phone checked independently.
On a similar matter I had I didn't end up replacing mine because I eventually sold it. Although I could have gotten a new phone for a problem that even samsung was not aware that its a firmware problem!
I'm thinking that the Android has a problem with WiFi authentication. Try unprotecting your wifi for a bit and see if it connects.
If it does, use WPA2-Personal. It's decent enough defense for home which means the data is easier for the phone to read.
Reading the google thread about how some people can get WiFi working on McDonalds and Hospitals (public places) seems to me that they have set their home security networks a little too strong, and the phone isn't working well enough to handle this issue.
Which is annoying, really.
Of course, if it doesn't even connect even if you have no password on your WiFi, then the WiFi in the phone itself is broken.

I recently (last week) got the HTC One coming from the HTC LTE and notice that it seems like every few minutes I lose network connectivity. More specifically when listening to streaming music. Even if the phone is stationary and doesn't matter what part of town (Kansas City), that I have where the music stops and buffers. Also had dropped a call on a road that I never had issues with phone calls before.
The phone was rooted, and took it to the Sprint store and they told me that the towers in town were all flaky (bad thing to say about their network), and that they didn't have a method of testing the radio. That night that I took it to the Sprint store, the girlfriend tried to call me and didn't receive the call and she sent me 3 texts that actually showed up while the CSR was holding the phone, showing that it was delayed by 2 hours. They did a profile update (think honestly they just wanted me out the door).
So I used the RUU to flash back to 100% stock once I got home to ensure it wasn't something that I did rooting the phone. Having done that, over the last few days still having the network buffering issues (didn't have that with my old phone), and haven't had any delayed texts (that I know of).
Question is do you believe them at the store that it is a wide are Sprint tower issue, or that it could be my phone? Don't want to wait too long, and end up with a refurbished one either (someone else's problem phone). Is anyone else having the same type of issues that might be able to be fixed with a software flash????
Thanks in advance!
I know lately I've been having dropped calls a lot. Two tonight actually with decent signal. Idk if it's my replacement phone or a rom I flashed.
Sort of tough to figure out which it could be.

Tried my girlfriends phone using Tune-In listening to the same channel and her phone does the same thing. She also have the HTC One. Just wonder if power management is just too tight and not enough processor to keep the stream going. Full bars in a 4G area and still buffers. Even when sitting still in my house!
Just very frustrating!
Mine was doing it too. Dial ##72786# and reset network settings. The phone will reboot and go through the hands free activation... After that I have not had any issues... FYI, I'm actually a tech at a corporate sprint store, and I'm surprised by how many reps don't know that ##code. The network being flaky is a real thing because of network vision upgrades taking large sections of our footprint offline for upgrades, although I can understand that it hardly instills confidence in our customers... However it is not a catch all for what could be a hardware issue.

I've had similar issues in Overland Park and Lenexa lately. I did the reset mentioned above and it helped somewhat. About the same time my wife began having issues with her iPhone 5 so I think there is a network component as well.

Well, still having the issue after driving to Wisconsin. Dropped streaming music, and while using GPS app, get lost and now in coverage area messages. Made the trip many times before and honestly NEVER have had an area where I lost service.
Decided to not take no for an answer and took my phone to the local corporate Sprint store and the lady said well, nothing we can do about it. I said nothing? She said that they don't have LTE here and now way of truly testing the phone. I asked there was no other test that they could run?
She responded that they could run some really basic tests but it probably wouldn't show up (i.e. she wanted me to go away and not waste their time testing the phone). But stuck to my guns and left it with them for an hour.
When I returned, she made sure that she was the one that there to tell me the results, which according to her that the phone "once" failed a particular test, kind of hinting that it passed it other times.
She said that the phone should be in today, coming via UPS. I told her that that if it wasn't in today that I wouldn't' be in the area due to leaving for another part of the state then heading back to the KC area (this was last Monday) and they didn't have the HTC One in stock which she said no, they didn't carry it.
Then as I was leaving she asked if I was get a survey call, if I would rate my visit with them as a 4...
Going to throw a fit if they give me a refurbished phone since I have had the phone less than a month and had problems from day one.
Data Loss During 3G/4G Change
I experience the same thing in the Minneapolis St. Paul area. I drive a lot for work and as I'm driving and the phone switches between towers I loose data connectivity completely for 30-40-60 seconds, sometimes more. I can sit there and watch the 3G/4G indicator go from lit up to dark during the switchover. It's really frustrating if you're using a data app like music streaming. I initially thought it was only happening when switching between 3G and 4G towers, but lately I've noticed it also happens between 3G towers, although 3G/4G is definitely worse.
I hope this is not a phone issue and is only a temporary tower upgrade issue.
Do you have EVDO enabled?
*#*#4636*# I think. Then change the data preferences.

I work in Minnetonka and experience the same issues while stationary! I'll be sitting and poof signal lost, haven't moved an inch.
Unfortunately I've only picked up 4G while driving, but I will try repeating your results on my next drive to work.
In general it seems like this phone doesn't receive the best signal.

Interesting. We have a 4G tower near us in Shorewood. I think the tower is around Hwy 5 and Powers Blvd in Chanhassen. Once I lock into the 4G tower I'm fine - it doesn't drop data, but it always drops it when switching between 3G and 4G. Last night I was driving to Jordan for a meeting and watched it all the way down. Not bad switching from 3G to 3G towers, but as soon as I hit the 4G tower signal in Jordan I lost signal. After watching it closer I noticed that the data indicator sometimes goes away completely on the phone, and when that happens it's like a minute or two before it restarts.
I'm going to put in a request for technical assistance from Sprint and see what they have to say about it. Maybe this is just the way the system and phone works since 3G and 4G are so different, but I sure hope not. It's annoying.
So my phone is having issues connecting to sprints network both cdma and lte, it will not make calls, and it will not recive or send texts, and when it does text or recive its a large amount of texts that were sent hours ago, is anybody else having this issue, sprint gave me the run around for two days saying it was the network, and then today (which is the 15th day) decided it was my device...HTC wants me to send the device into the repair center, and im royally pissed because I feel like sprint gave me the run around on this to avoid giving me another phone, so I am trying to figue out if any one else is having issues on the mobile network

Had a friends M8 start acting up the last couple days. I hard reset it twice today. Kept jumping in and out of roam. Wouldn't take a profile update. Sat next to my M8 mine was stable. Told him to take it to Sprint, of course he also gets the run around at Sprint. Lady at the Sprint store tells him it's acting up because he doesn't have a sim and he needs to put the sim back in. (I'm guessing she ejected the SD slot and nothing was there). They wouldn't do anything for him. It started working again when he got back, texted me tonight saying signal going in & out again. Told him to try another Sprint store or bring it back. They usually won't swap anything unless they can replicate the issue. I told him to try another store. This is why I refuse to go to the Sprint store unless I absolutely have to. Not only has the network been piss poor for almost a year, the store employees don't deserve minimum wage. If I would have been the one that went today, I may have erupted at the store when the lady tries to tell me my phone is missing a sim card which I know LTE won't work at all if a sim is missing. Not to mention I have no reason to take the sim out. My guess he has a bad radio and phone needs to be swapped. Sounds like you have a similar problem. Since I had my m8 to sit next to it side by side, it's pretty easy to troubleshoot. As much as it sucks going to the store, try another store or go back again hold your ground. I would hard reset everything just to make sure as they will prob make you do that anyway. Oh & not only did they tell him his sim card was missing, they said they don't have any to give him. The sprint store is absolutely worthless.
yeah, mine was working fine across town, but it stopped when i got home, so i suspect it may be the tower 2 blocks away
First phone seemed fine and I was told it was a network issue. I finally got them to switch out my phone and this one worked perfect until it forced a prl update, I wonder if it's not somehow related like that prl issue with the evolte. Has there been any actual updates to prl?

I argued my way up the sprint tech support tiers (more like i told them i want level 3) got the guy to check the tower that gives me service, and got the statement "how has no one else reported this" the tower is only working at 50-60 percent and having antenna issues...He is giving me a credit everyday they dont have it repaired, and giving me follow up calls until they fix it

That's awesome!
Curious if I should call Sprint since I've been having to constantly "update" the profile since I got the phone in order to receive texts in a timely manner sometimes. Though, it seems to be okay for now anyway since the last time I forced a profile/prl update with ##SCRTN#.

I would call sprint, I think some area is the towers, but some peoples issues are related to the device, I would drive around until you are well out of range of the tower where you're having the issue, and see if you still have issues. or see if you are getting any mip errors on your phone

I'm not so sure it's the device since it seems to be perfectly capable of everything working fluidly when I'm not at home. But, never know.
Where does one view MIP errors? Nothing has popped up on the screen and they have to be logged somewhere.

It would pop up in your status bar with a giant warning triangle (like you get for roaming) and would say "error could not connect to wireless data network"
I get that warning quite often.
Having issues as well. Contacted Sprint. Them dudes told me that it's this Connection Optimizer setting that's ****in it up. Psh whatever...still having the same problems. I'm just hoping it works itself out because idk how I feel about going back to the iPhone 5s right now :/
What they had me do was the hands free activation and then PRL & profile update. I've done this a couple of times now and nothing different has happened. I also just reset my phone for the **** of it (I say that because I knew before doing the reset that it wouldn't do anything).
So yeah, just playing the waiting game and hoping it fixes itself. But I'm starting to doubt that it will. Idk if it's a network issue or not. It's not affecting any other phones around me but didn't someoen say only a few phones have the Sprint Spark? So I guess I need to go through the GSV threads and see what's going on there. If they're having the same issues then I'll feel better. If not, then it's the phone >.<

Sounds like we are all having VERY similar issues.
Mine is Gun Metal, bought Online from Sprint first day. S/N starts with FA.
I agree with some ones comment above the problems started after Updating Profile/PRL.
I actually got LTE running today. But when I got home 3G won't stay up. Bounces between 1x, 3G, 1X Roam and 3G Roam.
I have a replacement coming tomorrow and I am going to try Updating Profile/PRL/Activate/Factory Reset multiple times AFTER I see it working.
To see what breaks it. Because I rather break it again than wait two months and get screwed.
I suspect the Sprint network is not quite ready for these phones. You might be ok today, but not tomorrow.
I also suspect the Connections Optimizer / Extreme Power Saver possibly being the culprit.

I'm starting to wonder that somehow the phones are ahead of the towers in programming, once you did an update profile, especially with the OTA Firmware (or Harman).
Because my phone runs great in some areas. But just runs terrible in other areas that used to be ok a week ago.

Its possible, some one else said sprint scrwed up the provisioning on the m8 and the s5, and so some phones are having issues until they can get it sorted out
Any eta for the fix bc cdma only isn't fixing it. Some calls go straight to vm till I make a call for them to come in. This is frustrating!

not that I have heard of, I am going to take the airave if they let me have it for free, since it seems my phone works fine when i go out of the house, which is rarely
Okay so I kept going to different Sprint stores and one guy said something that sounds believable (because I heard about it online)
He said that it's really the Sprint Spark that's messing up. There's an issue with the hand off. Since there's only one band in use at a time and Sprint's LTE can't handle voice...whenever you want to deal with voice you must go from LTE to CDMA. But he said there's an issue with our phone that's not allowing that to happen correctly. I was googling the **** and I found other people talking about this too. They were saying that the fix is really on Sprint to update their **** so that there's Sprint Spark everywhere.
If what these people are saying is true, then I'm sure I'm ****ed. And I think they're right to some degree. There's an issue with the hand off. In my house I have a weak LTE Spark connection. If I go into airplane mode and then come out of it, I can connect to Spark. But then it drops and everything stops working. If I go downtown I have a strong Spark connection and it seems like everything with my phone is fine. If I just drive from my place to downtown, I experience the drop. It's ridiculous.
So I can see how that's all true. But I'm really hoping it's not because if it is then I can't use this phone for a while. I kinda feel like I wasted money on it...this single band at a time **** is dumb. Yeah it may be easy on the battery life...but it's not helping with phone usage. Sprint wasn't ready for this :/
Here's link to what I was reading:
https://community.sprint.com/baw/thread/154841?start=45&tstart=0
Once a fine service before it became the un-carrier, T-Mo tech support is utterly useless.
We've had t-Mo since 2011 1st with HTC Sens, then I added an M7.*
For the last year plus the Sens has been having issues with WiFi Calling. *I've tried everything that T-Mo suggests while still paying for inconsistent service at home because T-Mo has no coverage here.
I've changed ISPs and routers and now have a CellSpot that only the M7 ever worked well with.
I've restarted, changed SIMs and have just bought 2 new LG G4s for $900. *Still no WiFi Calling and endlessly trying the same fixes with T-Mo tech. *
They don't seem to save notes or read them from one tech to the next and expunge them at random, so no one can follow the trail.
The Sens had W006.5 errors and the LGs have REG99 errors.
"We need you to be on 4G signal to get the SIM OTA" *Never comes.
"We need you to be next to the cellspot when the OTA is sent".
Uh ....... what for if the WiFi Calling doesn't work consistently anyway?
"Provisioning can take up to 2 hours then you should see a text update "Welcome to T-Mobile".
And every tech person I speak with has a different method, none of which have worked so far
I think T-Mo is where ATT was when they first got the iPhone. Utterly overwhelmed and able to deal with the technology at cost only to the customer.
Long story short, if you aren't in T-Mos 4G service area, WiFi Calling, once quite reliable, no longer is.
Disappointed.
I hate the thought of going back to the overpriced service of VzW, but at least I'd have service ......even at home, without WiFi.
I just started getting REG99: Unable to Connect errors after updating my G4 to version 10n... got a new SIM card, got an "update" sent to the SIM card twice (never got the "Welcome to T-Mobile" text so I have no idea if it even worked), factory-reset twice, and now T-Force told me to wait for Samsung to release an update at the end of the month. Yes, T-Force told me to wait for Samsung to update my LG phone. Sigh.
EDIT: NOT T-MOBILE'S FAULT! Installing Xposed broke WiFi Calling. Uninstalling it fixed WiFi Calling instantly.
disappointing it is. I had a dozen calls with tier 3 reps. Helpful, but exasperating.
I finally did a factory reset the other day. So far, all issues are fixed. Knock glass and plastic bits.
Your story sounds so much like mine that I had to comment. I purchased my LG G4 07/22/2015 from Swappa.Com and it was a brand new, LG G4 in a sealed box. I have spoken to at least 5 TMO service techs about the high battery usage, slow charging, phone heating up, calls ending abruptly, and garbled conversations after about 15 minutes of being on the phone. Their last suggestion was to send it in to LG. I have done that 3 times now! The first time LG said they replaced the camera! (Really?) for problems with the phone/modem? The second time LG couldn't find anything wrong, and "cleaned" it. But I agree with you 100% on how the asswipes at TMO all have different answers to the same questions/problems. Worse, LG has no answers and they are the manufacturer.
To make matters worse, TMO have adopted an attitude of "It's an LG Problem. Send it to them." Especially since I am Pre-paid month to month and purchased the phone outright from a 3rd party. They REALLY don't give a s**t!
1. Told I would need to have service for 40 days before they could unlock.
2. Told they could activate and unlock and that they would (but it didn't happen.)
3. Told by CSR that I had to have $100 either spent or in a TMO account before they
could unlock, and that this policy was in effect for 4 months.
4. Told my Tiffany Clover - Office of the President - that she would get my phone unlocked (never happened.)
factory reset
yea, the new un-carrier is becoming (surprise) another carrier.
try a factory reset from the settings menu.
I wiped everything, including the SD. Cleaned my mess up ....... so far.
Batt drains way slower, charges way faster, even from my Mac. And is in general pretty stable. Calls have been fine even in NYC where T-Mo def doesn't have enough bandwidth.
T-Mobile is a little bit wild west.
There is still some dumb stuff, but I think that may be LGs implementation of Lolli 5.1.
So far, I'm not using their Launcher (Apex) or lock screen (Next) and even that has caused no issues.
It's still a beast in my pocket. I really wanted to get the M9, but the deal was too good and HTC is having fiscal issues.
Where is the City of Beer? Milwaukee, Asheville, Boston, Paris?
I couldn't do a wipe because the system failed during a re-flash and left me with a 10n bootloader and a 10h system file. I had previously moved up to Micromod777's xtreme 2.0 which is h81110n. I had some problems with ads and extraneous apps on my phone. I did not think it through far enough when I reflashed with stock h81110h.
The phone was hard bricked and I had to send it back to LG. Here's hoping they just reflash it and send it on it's way back...
From my point of view: the City of Beer is Milwaukee, and it's not just because I live here.
A number of years ago, I went to Hooligan's and joined the "Around the World in 80 Beers" Club. There are a number of clubs like this in Milwaukee.
Finished drinking up the 80 beers in about a month. Got a t-shirt and my name on the wall. Plus, I actually learned about beers from other countries. For me, German Weiss Beer is the grand finale.
I'm a Belgian fan. Use to drink german in my ut. And many American crafts. Asheville has lots of craft brewing going on, if you ever get there.
Hope LG flash and return.

09/12/2015 : I had an email from LG that says my phone was fixed and is on it's way back to me.
Estimated Delivery via Fedex is Tuesday, 09/15/2015 and NO CHARGE!
I am about this.
However, there is a BIG DISCONNECT between what I know was done to the phone and what
the RA ticket shows: "Defect: Power-Completely off", <--- not what I said or what was wrong AND
"Repair Results: Power Management IC(PMIC)" <---this I believe, they probably shorted the proper leads
and that restored the IC(PMIC) and then reflashed the factory ROM. Fact is the unit was ON with no screen
functions available.
sounds good. Hope it's vastly better
I also had the REG99 error, so I called TMO and they re-submitted my issue to engineers twice. My phone stopped getting REG99 as much, but now I see an ER81 error. Granted, I got nothing but wifi calling errors when I was on the GoGo inflight text with Alaska Air just last week.

Just checking...xposed breaks wifi calling on 10n and we have posted the issue to rovo89 github in hopes he can fix it...good luck
Just so you guys know, it's not an LG issue. My Note 4 has similar issues. For me the REG99 error is only when I'm connected to unprotected WiFi networks that are slow. Also VoLTE is causing me major issues with Comcast Xfinity. Whenever it's on, I get super slow internet speeds for anything Google related. Once I turn VoLTE off, WiFi calling works, and no more slow Google related apps or web browsing.
To the OP what is your current internet provider?
