[Q] 4.4 KitKat ROMs with Functional Roaming - Sprint HTC One (M7)

Which 4.4 KK ROMs have functional roaming? I will be traveling soon and don't want to worry about dropping signal. Thanks for any input.

I know nocturnal nuisense roams, I frequently roam on it.

I Use LiquidSmooth 4.4 and roaming appeared to work on mine, however Signal was pretty bad on Hboot 1.56 using Radio 1.01.20.0515 so I downgraded the Hboot to 1.55 and radio 1.00.20.1108 and my signal is much better, YMMV

[Q] Upgrading Firmware

Hi guys,
I'm looking to S-OFF my HTC One (hboot - 1.54.0000). However, it seems I am incapable of using rumrunner because I am currently using a firmware that it doesn't support. My current base is 3.17.401.2 It seems my only course of action is to flash in a new firmware that is compatible with rumrunner i.e.3.17.502.3 but unfortunately, my CID (HTC__039) means that I cannot flash any of them on.
So, my question is, what am I do now?
Cheers.

If you are currently s-on then your firmware must be 2.24.980.2 if it is HTC__039. Check it using fastboot getvar all then check the main version. Then use the same Rom and head to rumrunner for s-off.

Cheers for the quick response buddy. Yes you're right. My main version is 2.24.980.2. It seems that rumrunner doesn't support that version, going up to only 2.24.841.1. I think that means that rumrunner won't be capable for me.
Doesn't always need to match. I was running the same version as u and I s off'd using rumrunner 2.24.709.1 the first day it came out

Haha. Thanks for the reply buddy. You know what? I'm going to take your word for it buddy and attempt the same thing. Seeing as you and I are from Melbourne, maybe we both have the same phones from the same batch.
I'm also using ARHD 21.0 with ElementalX kernel. That shouldn't be a problem right?

T-Mobile Wifi Calling on Viper 2.7

I know WiFi calling is not included in Viper 3.0 because T-mobile just released the 4.3 OTA.
But is it included in 2.7? If not does that mean that it isn't included in any 4.2 rom? Unfortunately my office hates cell phones so WiFi calling is a must for me. But I really don't want to go back to 4.1.2 Roms.
No knock on viper, but you may want to check out InsertCoin, they got it up and running on the newest build

I'll definitely give it a try! Thanks, but I'd still like for Viper in end. Those customization are GOD-LIKE.

[Q] Could I convert my HTC One to GPE?

Hello, I recently got S-Off on my Telus HTC One (Hboot 1.55, m7_ul) using rumrunner. I am wondering if I can convert my model to a GPE. I am open to giving more information about my phone, if it is required.
On a similar note, I tried using this 4.4 ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2341395. However, for whatever reason, the average network speed I was receiving was very low in comparison to my stock Rom. I tried flashing the latest radio, but it did not fix my issue. I was wondering if any of you guys had a fix to my issue.
Thanks for your time.
yes you can convert. grab the RUU from the conversion thread and flash it.

your current firmware is nothing to worry about since you are s off... even if you have a boot.img etc. from a toaserOS you could flash the RUU

Anyone know anything about the random network drops?

I'm s-off/rooted on stock 3.05.651.6. It started happening after I updated to the first KitKat ota, downgraded to shipped stock, then took the ota back up to 3.05.651.6.
Since then, I get total network drops. It will even disconnect my Wi-Fi when it happens. I'm including a screenshot of one of the error messages I get when it happens.
Can someone please tell me why this happens, or how to fix it?

Probably Radio/RIL related. Check if your radio (firmware) matches the one in your ROM.
My Baseband is 1.00.20.1108. Sound right?
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Premium 4 mobile app.
BTW, you have GSM or CDMA M7 - which model ID?
I have a baseband of 4T.27.XXXX with Sesne 6 5.11 and absolutely no issues.
CDMA One. Model PN072. Baseband 1.00.20.1108 on Android 4.3, Sense 5.0, and Firmware 3.05.651.6.
Maybe the radio is too new and I should downgrade it to the last prior?

Might be jinxing myself by saying this, but I think the new radio fixed the issue. I still get the error when I get a call though, but that seems normal if on 3g. Here's hoping.

Rebooting after flashing custom kernel

My Sprint HTC One keeps rebooting after I flash any custom kernel (faux, codecraft) on my phone. They use to work. Don't know if Flashing the H/K RUU had anything to do with it or not, flashed the 1.54.651.8 Firmware from Captain after the RUU aswell. Any help getting this fixed would be appreciated, thanks

No I'm saying you back tracked your firmware from RUU which is .9 and you said you went to .8 after the Ruu that doesn't sound like a good idea
Sent from my 831C using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
even on the .9 H/K firmware i get the reboots
Hmmm, maybe you just can't use kernels on your phone, I remember older phones some people's phones just hated custom kernels
Sent from my 831C using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
was running kernels fine until i had to RUU because hands-free activation kept popping up and rebooting my phone
Ahhh, understandable. Sorry I cannot help you sir! :/
