Last couple of weeks I've noticed the Gear has been charging intermittently.
Now it has stopped altogether.
I do not think this is a hardware issue as when it has been charging there has been no indication it is on charge..ie plug it in, no 'charging' status shown but watch charges anyway.
Now nothing....any ideas?

Hi,
I have a new and flawless Note, the USB connector is OK.
At night I connect the Note to the charger and I put some music on to fall asleep. Playback is configured to just play one album once.
Normally I put the phone in Flight Mode, in order to sleep without unnecessary radiation next to me.
On some few occations (it happend to me for like 5 times now), in the morning, the phone is not charged at all! But I am 100% sure that the battery status icon on the top bar signaled the charging mode.
This morning it happend again and I noticed that I left the Flight Mode off (because my wife is away and I want to stay in contact if needed).
Also, I noticed that I have been using a ZTE charger specked with 750mA, while the original Samsung Galaxy Note charger is rated 1000mA.
Can it be, that I was using the ZTE charger on its limit and that having apps running, or maintaining flight mode off, was enough to actually not being able to deliver that extra juice to charge the battery?
The other reason could perhaps be a software problem, like some app draining the battery as much as the charger is able to charge, so in the end the battery stays more or less the same.
I am positive that the USB port is not broken. I.E. I tested by unplugging and plugging the charger from the wall socket instead from the phone and all is recognized OK. Also, no issues when connecting to the PC.
What is odd: on previous occations I think I remember that I just plugged the phone back and it charged.
I swapped the chargers, but still I have this odd impression, fearing that the device might have an issue.
Anyone had similar problems?
Cheers,
vma
Yes, looks like a weak USB charge problem. You get similar behaviour if you try to charge the device from a PC - sometimes I have mine plugged in to my PC at work all day and it barely charges. Get home, put the official charger from Samsung in from a walk socket and it charges in an hour or two max.

Tonight was listening to music and my battery ran to what I assume is 0%, it was at 2 while listening to music and I ran to get laundry and by the time I was half way through my music stopped suddenly, assuming it died. Went to charge it tonight and it wouldn't charge, showed the battery symbol and the charging plug. LED doesn't light up, was able to boot to recovery, and volume down to restart, got to home screen for 0.5s and it showed 0% on battery symbol, no charging symbol, and then shut off. Now it doesn't have enough juice to even tell me to charge it or boot to recovery/odin anymore.
Tried multiple chargers, stock charger, wireless chargers, nothing is getting juice into this thing. No new apps installed besides Fitbit and MyFitnessPal 2 days ago when I got my new Blaze.
EDIT: Just plugged it into PC, windows 10 said power surge, and the microUSB cable got HOT. Within 10 seconds I noticed it burning under my hands. Never had that before
Anyone have this happen before?
I had all sort of problems that my pc keep disconnected my phone and wouldn't fast charge and when it did it was so slow also the microUSB use to be so hot . Yesterday i bought a new USB cable and everything works great!!

Hello.
Yesterday evening connected watch to charging and was around 70% of battery when started charging. Morning taken watch and it was blind. Connected to charger again and only bolt blink in battery icon. Before that was problem to get charging start and needed lot of time to find right how it started to charge. Are that watch contacts problem or charger terminal problem or something else? Cleaned contacts with cleaner. It boot up to Android Wear text and then power of or just black screen, then starts again in battery icon blinking bolt and after some time start booting again.
Best!

I had that problem, too... it became more and more difficult to charge the watch, initially I needed to reposition the charger, then some initial pressure on the charger, then constant pressure on the charger, but at the very end it was nearly impossible to charge. I also tried to clean the contacts on the watch with no success.
Luckily I bought the watch at Amazon and they exchanged the watch as the problem occured well within the first 6 months.
I assume that the internal connection to the charging contacts became broken (which would explain that initially some pressure on the charger helped) but the situation obviously got worse over time. With the replacement, I did not experience that problem anymore.
Sended to warranty, see what they say.
I've had my RP2 since July 2019 and it has been phenomenal. However, just within the last 2 weeks I ran into an issue with charging. Normally I charge using wireless charging and I started experiencing an issue where the phone constantly cycles through acknowledging wireless charge to not wireless charging. If I allow it to go through this cycle a couple times when I pull the phone off the dock it shows the battery icon as if it is still charging. When I first recognized this issue was occurring I tried plugging it in via wired(USB-C) and charging. The phone acted like it was charging but when I came back a few hours later I believe it had only increased maybe 1-2%.
Since the issue occurred I have tried powering off my phone and trying the wireless charge function with the phone powered off. I get a similar experience where it seems like the phone acknowledges wireless charging is trying to be done but it cycles between the battery charging icon and then blank screen, short buzz, and then the initial Powered by Android screen and then back to battery meter.
The only way I have found to successfully charge the phone at this point is to power off the phone, plug in wired charging(via USB-C). The phone will charge fine powered off or if I power the phone back on as long as i leave the charging cable plugged in when i power it on, it will continue to charge until i remove the cable. Once I try to plug the charging cable back in after the phone is powered on and booted it will no longer charge.
I've submitted a case to Razer Support but I'm almost 2 weeks in and have yet to hear any response back yet except, "Have you fixed your problem yet? If so let us know we'll close out your ticket" Obviously not very helpful.
Considering the wired charging behavior when the phone is up and running, it leads me to believe that this might be a software issue and not a hardware issue. However, since I have powered off my phone and attempted to wireless charge that way too and it still does not work makes me think it could possibly be a hardware issue?
Two other things to note:
1. I have seen a notification pop up that says something to the affect of "USB Controlled by Connected Device" even when nothing is connected to the phone.
2. Since the issue has arose I tried utilizing my USB-C dongle to 3.5mm headphone jack and it appears my phone no longer acknowledges when it is plugged in. Previously it worked like a charm and I could play music without issue. Now the music just plays out of the phone speakers like no dongle is connected.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Update: They did RMA my phone. I sent it in on a two day FedEx prepaid shipping. They received it 6/26 and by 6/30 were shipping it back to me. Arrived on my doorstep on 7/3 and it appears to be working now. I didnt receive any details on what they fixed but wireless charging and wired charging are back in good standing. They did return it with Android 8.1.0 so I had to do some updating from there.
It took a little to get everything completed(over a month from start of tech support case to finish of repaired Razer 2) but in all the experience was good with their support.

faced this issue recently, when i plug in the cable, charging starts but after a while (i think when the screen turns off) charging stops, i have used a super fast charge power bank and 2 sets of 25W chargers, all return the same results.
any one knows a fix for this annoying issue?
I have the exactly same problem, in 2 different S20FEs. After some time, the charging process stops, but the phone still shows "charging". The battery level stays at the same, even after some time. Maybe something update related?
