Well at the Google project volta I/O they did state phones lasted lots of days, close to months just on standby. With CM12 coming, I'd wonder to see a battery drain decrease once they're at stable builds.

Cheap <10$ 2150mAh Battery tested

I found this "2150mAh High Capacity Battery for HTC Wildfire G8 Legend G6". 6.99 € free shipping! (e b a y ^^)
I'm a bit sceptical towards this manufacturer specification, because it's very cheap although very high capacity, general product description etc.
Does anyone tested this Battery?
I just bought it and going to test the (real) capacity in a few days, when it's delivered.
Edit #1:
I use the stock Battery "BB0100" Li-Ion Polymer 1300 mAh. About 2 1/2 year old, daily charged.
There is another stock battery "BA S420" Li-Ion which supposed to be better than BB0100, but i haven't proved this.
My configuration: CPU 600 Mhz, max Brightness, official Cyanogenmod 7.2 stable. Regular Weather, Facebook, E-Mail updates + "avast! Mobile Security".
The battery was recalibrated at 100% charge.
Then i start "Battery Benchmark": "Full bench: "100% to lights out)"
(Battery Bench uses alternating GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, Networkdata, Screen on/off, CPU, to simulate smartphone usage. It loops until 0% and notes the operating time.)
Result: 06:26h
Edit #2:
Battery Benchmark from 100% to 0% = Result: 05:22h
This new Battery has a lower real capacity than the stock HTC 2 1/2 year old Battery!

How many times have you cycled the new battery ie charged from flat to full? LiIon batteries usually need 2-3 full cycles before they reach full capacity .. give it a go and see how it goes after a few cycles..
Sent from my Legend using xda app-developers app
3 weeks tested now.

I used it 3 weeks, but the capacity doesn't change. (no more, no less capacity)
That Mugen Battery is maybe better, but it costs 45$

Is it normal battery draining for extendale 4300 battery ?

I bough a Chinese extendable 4300 mA battery
and i just changed the Rom of my phone to CWM 10.1 and i didn't change the kernel
this is the battery draining first cycle on the new ROM
total time : 1d 1h 3m
but phone is idle : for 21 h 7m
and screen is on only for 3h 58 m
=====
i can say it is a light usage with only 2g active , wifi only when screen on ,brightness is controlled , 11 minutes subway and sound cloud for 13 minutes
======
it is better to slight degree than its normal draining with the stock Rom
but not much with the original one

[Q] have a problem with my extended battery 5000 mAh

hey everybody
hope that you are all okay
i just ordered an extended battery with the capacity of 5000 mAh
here is its link
http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-5000mAh...axy-Note-GT-N7000-Cover-Charger-/330750349616
and that was 4 days ago.
the problem is, the battery drains so fast
for example, when the phone is idle, it may use up to 12% in about 7 hours
and if i'm surfing the internet using mobile data (3g)
it may not even remains 2 hours of continuous usage
it also doesn't stay much with display on> about 3.5 hours only
while my friend who ordered with me the same battery
its battery remains much longer than me
could it be the rom i'm using or something else?
i'm on [ROM] Sweet ROM V11 LTA 4.1.2 [October 25th]
Use battery stats plus, free from gplay, to check what drain it and estimated time. Even the ori 2500 battery does better than that.
Sent from my phone.
I'd suggest that you return to stock ROM and make tests to see whether the problem is in the ROM or the battery itself.

Battery life on the Blu R1 HD

I have noticed that my BLU R1 HD Drains its battery life at an alarming rate - it lasts about 43 hours if never charged. I've done the whole "discharge 3x times, and recharge fully 3x times) It's supposed to have a 2500 MAh Battery. Far better than the 1800 MAh battery my BLU Studio 5.0C had. Yet my Studio devices seem to last longer.

By default the WiFi is set to always on. If you change it to always on only when charging, then I get around 5 days.
Edit:
Of course that is almost all in standby, not S.O.T.

Screen on time

It's amazing how much we actually use our phones in a given day, especially when we watch "videos"! Rate this thread to express how many hours of screen-on time you can get on the Google Pixel 2 before depleting the battery.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Outstanding. 3h 45m SOT over 9 hours and 49% left still

Awesome. Sounds like at that rate it would just break 7 hours SOT. Thats amazing for an 800 series on such a small battery, imo.
Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
I finally charged around 2am at 5% after clocking 5 hr 52 m SOT
Today is overcast and rainy in Portland (surprise)
So I've only had to keep brightness between 20-40%
I am extremely happy about battery life.
45% left with 4 hours 40 minutes SOT. Today has been very average in terms of my usage, light gaming, light social media, light browsing and moderate GPS navigation.
https://photos.app.goo.gl/cxaW1NAQAD2y4Yyt1
I'm on track to hit 8-9 hours SOT with pretty good usage across the board. Screen legibility at 30% brightness is awesome too! Have had no problems reading text or watching videos/taking pictures. There was one time I was sitting in a cafe directly under a bright light and I had to turn brightness up to 60%. I've still never had to crank it to 100% yet.
Screen on time, on wifi, has been awesome. Over 6 hrs last charge, today, over 4 hrs and at 65% remaining.

mine was unplugged for 24 hours, had 5hours, 15 mintues of SoT
6 hours sot
How are you people getting such massive SoT? I got 3h 20m with about 19h usage yesterday.
The current status looks like 1h sot in 9h usage (mostly overnight). I had always-on on. Screenshots attached.
I installed naptime now to see if that helps.
How do I check if the battery health is ok? I used accubattery which says about 92% health, is that normal or inaccurate measurement?
I got a little over five hours SOT with 2% left last night. Forgot to get screenshots. I was running at 50% brightness and have almost all of the "marketed" features turned on.

How many hours between last full charge & 2% for you? I have 3h sot, 16h since last full charge and 18% remaining. I am concerned about it now and need to figure out quickly whether I should return it.

Not sure but I'll do the same as I did yesterday and report back tomorrow with screenshots. Except today I'm at 40% brightness and don't want to change it.
FWIW, I am currently at 84% | Last full charge: 6h 47m ago | Screen usage since full charge: 40m.

I am guessing you charged it sometime before sleeping and now in the morning it is 7 hrs since charges and some drain with minimal screen usage, hence 84%?
Yep thats exactly correct.

Are you running 100% brightness all day? Take a screenshot of your advanced battery usage page also.
No. I use adaptive brightness and if it becomes too bright sometimes I manually reduce it. I will take screenshots again today.

From what I was told some time ago, adaptive brightness uses a sensor, requiring some (a lot? A little?) battery use there. I don't know if it is much... if it counteracts the point of adaptive brightness or what.
Personally, I just use the lowest tolerable brightness, manually adjusted as needed (which isn't too frequent, honestly), and I think I get the best battery I can from the screens I use.
Might be worth testing the two out see if manual helps any.

Okay, didn't think about that but i anyway disabled adaptive brightness in the morning today. Have 2.5h SoT, 15.5h uptime so far (since last full charge) and 42% battery remaining. With this rate it is likely to be slightly under 5h SoT which is still lower than what most people are reporting.
I also installed accuBattery to check battery health and it estimated it to be 91%, are these estimates usually correct? Should I be concerned?

The other battery saver I saw posted, and it seems to be a big deal for the pixel 2... Turn Always On Display off. In the settings it even says it eats battery. Lol.
