After Update to Lollipop i have a strange behavior with the Daydream Feature.
When i plug in my device (in StandBy) to the Docking Station, Phone Screen goes on and Lockscreen show very short before Daydream is starting, then Daydream disappears and device is unlocked and in Homescreen with Screen normaly on. After the timeout (30 sec.) Daydream comes up again and stays.
I hope the description is ok
Under Kitkat the Daydream was starting normal, without going to homescreen again.
Anybody knows what the problem could be?
hi, ive same problem with Z1, have you find a solution since april ?
No. Nothing until now
Hello I found the why, you do not plug the phone while sreen is of
When you want plug (dock or just cable) and see daydream you must push on button once again.
Daydream work only while screen is on
It is not a good dev idea but it work like that

I keep my N7000 docked in a desktop cradle during the day and would like to keep the display on, but can't find any setting to do this.
On my HTC Desire Z I fixed this with an app called Screen On from pinapps.com, but having installed this ('Enable ScreenOn' and 'On Charge' ticked) the screen still switches off after a period of inactivity.
Sorry - this must have been discussed before, but I wasn't able to find anything.
I just installed JellyBam ROM which is based on AOKP/CM10. The only issue I am having is when the phone is docked in the official desk dock. This is my first Jellybean ROM, so it could be an issue with JB as a whole. Here is the problem.
When on ICS, this is how the phone behaves when desk docked:
If the phone was locked (with screen off), it turns the screen on, unlocks itself, starts the Clock app and continues likes that for a few minutes. Then it activates the Night mode on the clock and stays like that until the phone is undocked.
If the phone was NOT locked (that is the screen is on, with either on the launcher screen or some other app screen), the phone starts the Clock app and continues likes that for a few minutes. Then it activates the Night mode on the clock and stays like that until the phone is undocked.
Now on Jellybean, this is what I am facing:
If the phone was locked (with screen off), the screen turns on for 1 minute (which is the screen turn off time I set in the Settings) and then the screen turns off. When I undock the phone, the screen turns on at the lockscreen. And then when I unlock it, the Clock app shows up, implying that the Clock app was indeed launched when I docked, but some lockscreen setting overrode it.
If the phone was NOT locked (that is the screen is on, with either on the launcher screen or some other app screen), the phone starts the Clock app and continues likes that for 1 minute (which is the screen turn off time I set in the Settings). Then it turns the screen off. When I undock the phone, the screen turns on at the lockscreen. And then when I unlock it, the Clock app shows up, implying that the Clock app was indeed launched when I docked, but some lockscreen setting overrode it.
Is it possible to revert this desk dock behavior back to ICS style?
Just to let you know that I fixed this issue by creating a Tasker profile for a third party desk clock app
Yeah, Tasker is awsome.

Just for the record I'm getting this behaviour with a JB 4.2 based custom rom (rasbeanjelly) on a gsm Galaxy Nexus. Desk dock worked properly with JB 4.1.2
Dunno if it's all JB - Google has few hits on the subject.
eta: I found the fix.
settings > display >daydream
make sure daydream is on, select clock. > clock settings, select 'when docked'
The clock is now white instead of blue, with no options to change it that I can see (may be a rom issue), otherwise desktop mode works much the same as in JB 4.1.x
Has anybody still have the blank screen issue?
Mine did it last night blank screen but the hdmi is still working when hooked to my tv.
Is there a software fix for this? I am on the stock 10.26.1.18 4.3 JB.
The touch screen still work when hooked up to the tv though hdmi just the screen is off.
Is it something to do with smart saver mode or display sleep.
I used the hdmi hookup to factory rest and shut off and when I plugged the tablet back in the screen started working again, I hope somebody can help because I really love the tablet otherwise.
Thanks

Hi everyone.
I recently rebuilt a TP for my son running CM11 from jcsullins. Everything worked fine for a few weeks except two new issues have arised.
1] While charging in the touch stone the screen would now suddenly turn on. I would have to manually turn it off, but sometimes it would turn back on while docked.
2] The next morning after being charged over night the tablet will not wake up. It's a black screen, and I have to force a restart but holding the power and home button.
What tool can I used to identify the cause of my tablet constantly turnng on while in the touch stone? I'm not sure if it behaves the same with a regular charger because I have only used the touch stone.
Is there a tool that can tell me what app is causing my tabket to lock up over night?
These problems were never there before and they suddenly appeared over night when it functioned fine for weeks after I did the reinstall.
Thanks in advance for anyone that is able to help!
It may be the obvious but first check: Settings -> Display & Lights -> Wake on plug (off). Then: Is this a clean install or has "stuff" been added?
I also have been having an issue with my cm 12.1 tablet not waking up and/or draining completly. Not sure if this is related to the cm11 nov 2015 version and cm 12.1 Jan. 2016 versions or something else.
This seems like a "stay tuned" issue.
Thanks for the wake on plug. That seems to have fixed the first issue, I think. Although I did see it light up earlier when I docked the tablet but it seems to not light up for the most part since I changed that setting.
For the second issue, is there an app kind of like Event Viewer in Windows? Maybe that will help me isolate what's causing the tablet to lock up while charging over night?

I use Wake lock Detector, Startup Manager and Greenify. Not exactly what you are looking for but may give an idea.
Hey guys,
So I am using GoodLock Routines and I have this routine that sets AOD to 'always show' mode as long as I am charging my phone and I have it set to 'tap to show' while I am not charging the phone. This used to work perfectly before the OneUI 2.5 update. Now when I plug the phone to charge it and the screen is off and locked the AOD shows up for 1 second but then disappears. Can anyone else try this to confirm if it's an issue with the update or it's just me? I also tried to sideload Bixby Routines but it does exactly the same there as well.
If anyone knows a way to show my lockscreen for 1 second when I plug in my phone to charge that could also be a fix as the bug only happens when I plug my phone to charge with the screen off. If I plug it with the screen on and then lock it the AOD remains on as it should.
PS: I am not rooted and won't root so need a non-root method for the screen wake-up part. I tried Tasker with SecureSettings but it's a hit or miss, 1 time it works, then it doesn't.
