Ok, this is my problem
I plugged my moto g all night to get it charged, then when I woke up I unplugged it so i started watching videos and playing but cuz my battery was low i tried to plug it again but it didn't charged anymore not even plugging it to my PC, it won't recognizes my phone, then i did my backup and my phone died.... i went to the store where i bought it to fix it and they said the guarantee doesn't apply cuz i unlocked the bootloader and installed another ROM, i had the titanprime rom for XT1063 and it didn't give me any problem so i know this is not the problem... somehow i got it into fastboot and plugged it into my pc to do a factory reset and it recognized it, but it said ''low charge'' and it turned off.... so now i can't even get it on or charge it or even get into fastboot, my pc won't recognize it anymore and idk what to do.. i've tried almost everything but unmount the battery cuz i'm afraid i get it worse than it is.... any suggestions? i've tried holding power button for 2 minutes, and with the volume down and trying to get into fastboot and it won't work...
HELP! I'm scared :crying:
Can you acces bootloader?

You may not get much charge plugged into the PC, have you been using the same USB cord the entire time? If so, try another cord or even another charger. It can be any charger, it doesn't have to be the original one.
Plug it on a >1A charger (nb: a good charger) and wait a few minutes. Should work.

Then you probably don't need another charger. It's going to be something else.

I got an S4 charger and I plugged it in, it won't work, it hasn't turned on :/
I'll wait until tomorrow just to see if it worked
What else should I do if it doesn't work?

No warranty honoured? I'd be taking the battery out. Sounds like these devices have a threshold with the battery drain and charging. Mine freaked me out one night. Did the same thing and wouldn't turn on or charge. I tried some different cables and chargers and after only 5 minutes of panic, it worked.

Hey guys,
So the battery went bad on my D4 last week. My phone is rooted, and it will not boot past the DualCore screen. Because it won't boot, there is no way for me to unroot it. Is it safe to send in for a warranty claim since it doesn't boot, or will they try to fix it and then see if it is rooted?
They might not. I busted my usb port once... phone was still rooted and I crazy glued the port closed so the people who reciecve it wouldn't know. Give it a shot it, because if they do find out you would have to pay for another phone anyway.

Have you tried connecting to a pc using a official Motorola usb cable? Sometimes that works even if the battery won't charge or at least i think i read that somewhere.

Its not an official motorola cable, its a motorola factory cable, it bypasses battery and directly powers the device, and you can use it to charge and flash in a low battery situation.
I think you would be okay, because the first thing they usually do is flash it back to stock before checking the hardware. I sent in a phone that was safestrapped/rooted, because it died after overheating, and everything checked out okay.

So my battery died yesterday and I plugged the phone into the wall to let it charge overnight. I wake up this morning and it wont turn on. LED is green but that's it. Any suggestions?
Use the charger that it came with only. This has happened to me a few times and i feeds it's a high amp charger cuz all others will show the green light and not charge, but the one from the box allows it to get to the M logo. hope it helps

same thing happened to me, use the OEM charger.
Thanks guys, it also seems I has to plug it directly into the AC outlet, I have a 3-outlet surge protector that I usually have it plugged into and I got nowhere there, but it's on and at the charging screen now.
I would try doing a hard reset with it plugged in.
Just hold the power and vol up and vol down all together
Clearly he got it working man.

I'm trying to help a friend who has a moto x. Her phone just isn't charging at all. I connect it to a computer and the pc sees a device connected, but cant figure out what it is. I've tried connecting it to a wall charger, and while the phone can see the charger in the boot choice mode, its just not taking a charge. Any ideas? I've told her to take it back to where she got it, but is this a common problem?

That's what I'm hoping. Don't want to have her stuck with a lemon or having to deal with Moto's customer service. I've heard nothing but horror stories. So I'm hoping the store she got it from doesn't give her any trouble replacing it. She didn't care about customization and just got the stock white one the stores get for quick sales.

How long has she had it?
Which cable are you using to charge it? I've cruised a few forums and found a lot of people said that it wouldn't charge unless they used the original charging cable. I don't know why that is, but in my experience I've had the same thing happen with only one other cable and the phone refused to charge. Brought it home and used the original charger and boom! Booted up right away.

Ok so im using the latest Viper rom Viper 6.1.0
Plugged my charger in sunday night, and the Usb connection started to smoke all in about 10 seconds of being plugged in.
Now my problem is, my phone still works, and charges if its turned off, but not when its on. I cant connect the phone to the computer via usb as its not reconignse the phone.
I want to send it off for repair, but know my warranty is void, as im running custom rom. I cant drag my photos and other info music etc off the phone, as I cant connect to the computer.
I was wondering about bricking my phone, so that the repairs cant turn it on, but I cant get anything on the phone because of the computer connection problem.
Anyone suggest anything I could try
Thanks Steve

Im debating what to do know. As the phone appears to be charging and connecting to the computer using a different lead. So I wonder if it was the lead damaged that's causing a problem. Although it was the end of the charger more than the phone that got hot.
Think I may have to run with it a day or so, see if things carry on working.
Thanks for the help.

You had better luck than me. I had something similar and it completely cooked the port. I couldn't charge it at all or connect to pc. So warranty was denied due to all the mods and I have to pay

Normally yes. But this time I used my wife's HTC One M8 charger. It has a slightly higher output. So I am wondering if this was the problem. Think ive been lucky, the phone seems to be working fine now.
