Hey everyone,
I just tore apart a M7. As I finished, this little plastic piece fell off.
Does anyone know where this should be placed?
Thank you!
My guess it's from front facing camera

I have a HTC Touch Diamond and have been using it for 4 months now, I have always keep it in the included case in my pocket. Recently, I noticed that dust is starting to accumulate over the front facing camera!
I don't know how it got there but I have a hunch that it's going in through the speaker hole. Also, I don't know if it's just my phone but there is a gap between the screen part and the bezel of the phone. Dust is starting to fill the gap.
To clean out the dust from the gap, I take a small moist cloth and run it through the gap. I'm pretty sure that it's just my Diamond.
In case your wondering, it was a BNIB Rogers HTC Diamond, not a used or refurb phone.

the same, with my diamond.
some dust in front of the front(VGA) camera
i have the exact sam problem... also the back under the cover is covered in dust. but especially the vga cam and the speaker is quite dirty
I wasn't sure whether it was just my Diamond, but I also have dust on the back of the front facing camera. Given I don't want to use (or pay for!) video calls, I'm not yet that fussed about it, so long as it doesn't get anywhere more important!
I remove dust from the speaker with a small folded piece of sellotape (sticky side out, obviously!), but there's nothing I can do for the front camera. I also noticed that inside the back cover can get quite dusty.
Oh well...
I've had the same problem with the edges around the front of my Sprint HTC Touch Diamond. Also, in the front speaker hole with the light sensor.
My solution? The straight edge of a piece of paper. Works great for pulling the dust out and so far has been the only thing small enough to fit in the cracks

the dust over the front facing camera doesn't bother me as much as the gap between the bezel and the screen portion because the gap is kinda slanted so it makes me believe that the screen is tilted
I had the same problem: dust made the front camera unusable. So I sent it for repair. Came back, fixed.
Hello
So, I have a the HTC One M7 and its front cam is damaged... I don't mean like shattered, but it takes horrible photos, all grainy and white... I figured out, that there is alot of dust inside of the camera, so I need to replace it. But here I place this question: How do I glue back the back side of the housing, when I take it down. Do I have to buy new housing, some adhesive or it glues back on with no problem? I would really appriciate any kind of response. Thank you!

The phone is snapped in the housing, no need to glue it. Would strongly recommend to buy a new housing, you'll probably damage it when opening the phone. Make sure you have the right tools before proceeding ( opening tool, screwdrivers, tweezers etc).
Hi, I have this really disturbing dust inside my p9 rear camera glass. Do I need to remove the whole back cover or is it possible to just take the top cover off? The dust is really annoying since it shows in all of the pics I take. Have no idea how it got there in the first place.
