I have a problem with my Moto X. Few weeks ago I lost a signal and I had a notifications: "Selected network is unavailable" and "Emergency calls only". Few hours later problem disappeared. Then everything was fine until yesterday. The same situation, but now it's mostly permanent. Several times phone found the network, but for a few seconds and then again the same condition.
In Factory mode I noticed that: "PHONE ICCID: PHONE_ICCID_UNKNOWN", and "Phone ICCID Compare with SIM ICCID: ERROR".
I'm currently using Verizon moto x with unlocked bootloader running on Paranoid rom 5.1
Location is asia and this phone is american so please help.

This problem is not new with verizon phones

My customized MOTO X from verizon not taking a GSM sim in india.
I tried many sims from different carries, but failed.
It showing full bars with carrier logo, but no calls and sms, only data is working.
When i tried to call someone it shows "Mobile Network not available".
I check IMEI, it is in good condition
and one more thing
When i putting my IMEI on imei.info
It showing XT1055 which is us celluar.
But my one is XT1060
I have bootloader unlocked, flashed cyanogen, sprint rom, roggers rom but no luck.
and my moto x is working with CDMA OMH sim
I do not why it is acting like a us celluar MOTO X which accepts only CDMA sims
Now i am on 4.2.2 Verizon ROM, GSM sim is not working, Showing "Mobile network not available"
I had the same issue after a friend of mine used my VZW MotoX on TMobile.
He upgraded for 4.4 to 4.4.2 while he had it running on TMo. I think that the update has broken the radio.
After .sbf back to VZW stock everything works great
I think it may be IMEI problem..
help get my moto x back on vz - not able to make calls

Hi, I recently got an ATT locked Moto X 2014 and unlocked the sim. After I unlocked the phone I received a text message from T-mobile welcoming me to the network and my phone number but I have not been able to get signal since. I took it back to the store and they tried a new sim with the same results. Any ideas as to what to do in this case?
Thank you
Is the IMEI number and baseband version showing unknown or are they reading correctly?

They are showing correctly. I don't get why is not working.
Did you check the APN?
I went to the T-mobile store and they set it up for me. The weird thing is that I don't get a signal at all, not even for calls.
Sounds like an apn issue
I bought my Droid Turbo about two weeks ago to use it in Europe. I checked all freq and bands of my carrier and I also spoke with a guy who is using Droid Turbo in my country (Poland), all was ok. I got my phone and before inserting the sim card I updated to lollipop 5.1 OTA. After inserting my sim card the phone detected my sim and connected with network (LTE). I thought that everyting was ok untill I started using Droid Tubo in a daily basis. The phone is constantly switching networks. Its loosing lte signal switching to 3g for example, then to gsm. After a while its reconnecting but not always, sometimes I have to restart. I was trying almost everything: wiping from recovery, wiping via fastboot, switiching network connections by hidden menu commands, changing apn settings... I noticed that my problem seams to be similar to the problem which was solved by 21.44.8 update which: "Fixes an issue that could prevent proper switching from 3G to 4G LTE. Fixes issues that could trigger a dropped call, prevent a call from going through, show that no service is available or show that a SIM card is not inserted" - this is quote from motorola update release note. This quote very well describes my problem. After doing almost everything what I could I decided to ask for your help, because Im starting to think that this is a hardware issue. I am looking forward for your help and will be very gratefull for any suggestions.

Hello, I have almost the same problem. I recently bought DROID TURBO and i was using it w/o any problem for about a month. and Poland is also my country I did everything like you including update to lollipop before inserting SIM card. Everything with the phone was ok until i tried to change cellular bands in menu to see if it will affect battery life in some way.
Unfortunately my Droid Turbo is now refusing to connect to any network. To be exact: it is logging to my network ( i have checked it on the service hotline of my carrier ) but then after about 3-5 sec. signal bars are greyed and no connection to the network. I've tried three different cards from different carriers and with all a have the same result. Now i cannot use my Droid Turbo as a phone ....... i've tried factory reset, cache cleaning, disabling Verizon apps&services .... nothing... Could someone help me/us, do you have any suggestions ?

Hello again.
The only way i've solved this network problem on non-rooted Lillipop is to install new firmware using Verizon Software Upgrade Assistant for Droid Turbo. You have to run this software and use the rapair button then it downloads new firmware and installs it on your phone.
i have same problem.
just flash last firmware with fastboot
My X has been working just fine for a long time. Suddenly I got "No Service" on the status bar and... I had no service.
The "No Service" comes and goes. In between, I get voice and some data (H or H+, never LTE which I had before the problem started). The phone displays "No Data SIM" in the quicksettings tile.
So far I tried:
- Is it a network problem? Nope, I put the SIM in a different phone and it was fine.
- Switching carriers to a different provider, same problem.
- Reset phone, tried various ROM's, Motorola stock as well as CM.
- Double and triple checked the SIM card, SIM slot, APN settings, etc
Any ideas, or is this a hardware failure and just RIP time?
I have Moto X XT1060 mobile from many years, SIM was working fine, but suddently it started to show "No Service" and "SIM is not from Verizon" popup.
When I try to search for network it doesn't show any network. I tried different SIMs which are working fine on other phones. I also tried to Factory Reset from Bootloader but still not working.
I am from Pakistan and tried different local SIMs, Phone is PTA Approved so I don't know whats the problem here.
anyone?
