...I got this email today, I did install HC V4 emmc on my Nook...did anyone else get this?
It should be noted that I am a CR-48 owner and did participate in their Nexus S giveaways a while back...
i also got this email and i am also a cr48 owner but i think i got the email because i changed the honeycomb v4 on the sd card's ro.fingerprint to the nexus s one to get more apps in the marketplace
Likely so.
I had the same thing happen right after the nexus one came out and I flashed a new version of xdandroid onto my fuze (touch pro).

Maybe no. Cause GT-S5570 is a low-end device, while Google Earth needs a powerful device. It also needs ARMV7 as far i know.
I am planning to buy a Android Wear (Specifically the Moto 360).
I've already checked the android wear test site and it was compatible with my Nokia X2 (because it was based on 4.3}.
I still have doubts if this can run alongside with my phone knowing that this phone initially doesn't support Google Apps.
Can anyone confirm that this (Nokia X2) is working with an android wear product.

Did you get one and is it compatible? The WearCheck site says it's compatible at least.
Not yet.

Question, do we need the android wear app to be installed to nokia x2. If so, does the app require google play services?
Sent from my Nokia X2 using Tapatalk
You need to know that everything that you will do with your android wear watches is ask google voice search (run apps, reply messages and everything else). So, of course you need installed google play services, play store and google now app (and actually many more google apps because other's developers apps not compatibility with android wear.

Well yes. I still didn't brought one so I don't know what are the required apps to be installed. Sad, but though I love this phone im considering buying a zenfone 6 so I can use the smartwatch properly.

The Moto 360 has suddenly stopped as incompatible on http://g.co/WearCheck when checking from the X2. It say's 4.3 is required and your phone is Android but not a 4.3 :S
That's weird. It showed as compatible a few weeks ago.
This is a few days old now but I saw this article...
http://www.zdnet.com/article/android-trojan-infiltrates-mobile-firmware-trend-micro-apps/
It specifically mentioned ASUS WebStorage...
The researchers say that apps including Trend Micro Dr.Safety, Dr.Booster, and Asus WebStorage have been affected by the malware.
The security team informed the companies of the issues, and now TrendMicro Dr.Safety and TrendMicro Dr.Booster, at least, have disabled intrusive functions. Asus is considering how best to tackle the problem.

Do we need to be concerned about this on our ASUS MeMO Pad 7?
Thanks.
Apparently the microsoft translated app is specially made for the p20 pro's AI thing.
I removed it before finding this out. Any idea?
It's so simple just search Google... The official app is in Microsoft page and you can download the version for Android free... I had install this app to all my devices, phones, tablet... Just search and it will take you to official Microsoft site

Yeah but apparently its preloaded with a version specially made for the p20 pro? Or is it just preloaded with the same one that is on the play store?

I don't think it's a special version for P20 pro because Im using it often with Samsung tab s2 and Samsung A5 and I can't find any deference
It was a special version for the phone ai
Use Google translate
Does it have offline voice translate?
As far as I'm aware this is the same version you find in the store. The optimization will be automatically enabled on our device.
I just searched for the app in the store it says already installed and I did not install it manually.
The Playstore version is pretty much the same, I have used both.

This version is simply no longer available
This is because a dedecated AI chip is no longer necessary for on-device AI translation.
"Because of the computing power needed to run these high-quality translation models, this capability was only available online. In the latter part of 2017, this capability was made available on specific Android phones equipped with a dedicated AI chip. It allowed their users to get offline translation quality that was on par with the quality of online neural translation.
Building on this initial work, the Translator team was able to further optimize these algorithms, allowing them to run directly on any modern device’s CPU without the need for a dedicated AI chip. The new Translator apps now bring NMT to the edge of the cloud for all Android, iOS, and Amazon Fire devices. Support for Windows devices is coming soon." -Microsoft
TL;DR: The technology can now run on any device, not only those with a dedicated AI-chip. Because of this, I assume that because of this the special version for Huawei devices has been discontinued. It is simply no longer necessary
