I've never heard of this ROM, but after searching, I don't think it would be possible considering the n6 was released with Android 5.0 and the ROM is based off of an earlier version of android. If I had the knowledge and time to compile and transfer all the code and compile it for 6.0.1, I would. But I'm not sure if someone is willing to put the effort into it, I'm sorry to say. But I agree, this would be a nice port.

ohhhh, ok. My apologize, I did not see the port for n6P. Well if someone took the time someone could port to n6. Like I said, if i had the time and knowledge, I would do it. I'm currently a high school student and don't have time really. But when it's summer time, I will try to learn to develop ROMs and will port it, if not done so already.

Just a thought,
Whether there will be a community release of an Android ROM for vogue, which all devs come together in a team and make -maybe- one Android ROM ?
It would gain more advantage because all the devs will contribute according to their respective ideas and if this happen, it's must be a must have android for vogue.
Thank you for all the devs here that make our vogue life.

Honestly, it's pretty much like that already,

Lol - every release is a community release. That sounds funny but everybody is using something somebody else did, I guarantee it. You should go on a history walk and find out when things got done and who did them...
The installer, for instance (vilord) - we all see it every time we load a new build. it's been around for quite a while now and hasn't really needed any changes. We had a method before that that dzo had cooked up but it was, ahem, a bit confusing for some (somehow.) Or GPS - a ton of early work by srwalter. Fixes by dzo. A ton of revision by jnadke. Further enhancements by kallt_kaffe.
Obviously, none of those things would have happened without dzo.
This leaves out a ton of folks, of course - mssmison, for example, had his hands and say in just about everything when he was around.
All that to say, every dev uses a bunch of stuff that others have done. Every release is a community release. That's the way it's meant to be, that's the way it is, and we all benefit as a result.
*hugs*

Yes, i agree with that.
actually, vilord build is my first android rom on vogue and Dzo is the magician here -you are not really retire from this great forum right ?
So, i'm wondering if the ROM might goes into like this ;
"How about if i have Dzo build or K_K build with a ton of Incubus and Myn blazing design and tweak and many other contributions by all the devs here ie for the zImage, initrd, maybe some splash screen, apps or the battery performance (*Can we steal this from CM?) so i can say "This is my android stock ROM for vogue"
But anyway I'm not a programmer, I'm just a user.
thanks for sharing.
Hope this will not hurt anyone.
What would it take to port ShadowMOD over to the Droid?
Currently this build is only for the Milestone. I would love to port it to the Droid so I can run it!
I know there are differences in the radios, and a few other differences such as kernels and whatnot because of the locked bootloader on the Milestone but I'm willing to put in some work, I just need to know what all is involved and if it's "doable".
Thanks in advance!

not for ROMs -- i'm looking to get into it and figured a port would be a simple enough place to start... thanks for the reply
well,, unfortunately porting isnt really an easy thing to do.

well we both know that "easy" is relative right? i pm-ed him to see if he could upload his source to github so i could build it for the Droid. i have a couple people on DroidForums that are willing to help me learn. but since this seems to be a more specialized / advanced community, i figured i could find some more specifics over here...
i haven't developed ROMs for the droid before, but i've heard that relative to other types of programming compiling ROMs from source is not that intense. i currently specialize in PHP, but i'm looking to use it for something that i actually enjoy (android vs my job lol) and something that would give back to the community at the same time.
hopefully he can put his source code on github so that i can get to learning
Hi @szezso,
Just a request to you to go experiment or port different Vanilla Android ROM other than CynogenMod.. I would really like to have a SlimRom, Paranoid Android and many other Legendary ones
Just a request so that it would be awesome to have a variety of ROMs.. Yeah depending on your feasibility

Instead of szeszo, you can port it -_-.
People forget that making to roms take a lot of work, and requesting roms are just adding more work onto this.
Remember that szeszo makes roms as a hobby, not a job. Nobody has the right to request/ask for etas.

I second this. It's a great learning experience. Even if it was incredibly buggy, I'm sure Szeszo along with a host of other developers would be willing to help and people would be more than happy to see a new developer come around
Hi boys and gals and older fellows:
So, I have been following this forums for some weeks. I own a Redmi 2 Pro here in Mexico (2014819, 16 GB ROM and 2 GB RAM) and I wanted to test a fair amount of ROMS, I never had had a cellphone with so many custom ROMS available and I am very enthusiastic about it, so, I first went to CM13, then AICP, AOKP, DU, RR and even MIUI 8 Betas, until I found this ROM I still want to build called Paranoid Android. But I never compiled a ROM from source (I have been using Linux for many years, but never compiled an entire OS) and while I was trying to build AOSPA (or Paranoid Android) I realized it was too hard for my skills.
You see, I am only a user not a developer, and I see a lot of guys here developing and mantaining at the very same time, using their free time, processors, internet connection and patience for all of us, the users. So, I finally managed to compile CM13 from source and it runs pretty well (everything works) and it feels really great, like an achievement, but then I thought "Now what? Is it possible I can help other users? How can I learn more?". I know this is not a great achievement fro a developer, I did not create a device tree or developed a custom ROM or part of it or write a driver, I know too I can't really help any much more than I have helped to other users (as much or few as it can be). So, what do you think? I wanna learn more, I want to custom CM13 to my own needs as a learning exercise (add, remove, tweak governors; that sort of things).

TL;DR: I want to help people with a lot of work in his/her hands helping Redmi 2 community. I am a regular GNU/Linux user and I can compile CM13 from source. Is there any way I can help you to help others while I learn something more? Suggestions on what to do from now on are also welcome, keeping in mind I am not a developer and I do not want to be one.
Wrong place bro
You can get help from @s.sawrav and @pirej,these are sort of devs who could help you.
Btw if you can, please try to compile also nougat if you can.
And use Google for things you want to learn like oc,governors and stuff there are some pretty good threads here on XDA on how to build kernels and add features to it like this here http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/ultimate-guide-compile-android-kernel-t2871276 .
Wish you best luck?
Great, one more Dev for our little beast. Try Paranoid next ...

Good job :good: but this is not the right section to post this, ask a moderator to move this thread to appropriate section, also checkout the chef central in android section of XDA and then there's google,it'll help you out a lot.

Just start from doing the green thing
That's the best way to learn, and when/if you are happy with the modifications you made, and you think that the rom you made is different enough to be posted as a different/new/your rom, then post it.

I'm not familiar with the meaning of "the green thing", I love plants, so it would be great it is a plant-related saying. Care to elaborate a little? At the moment I am learning some useful repo parameters and attempting to build Resurrection Remix which seems going just OK.
I am downloading too all the source code from CM11, I think that's gonna be doable for a newbie like me, AOSPA is just too much right now, so I gave up with that for now, even documentation is hard to get.

Hey I Was hoping you could build and Maintain a stable Cyanogen 12.1! A lot of people are still using 12.1 and kumajaya has stopped active development on that ROM. Plus the Sailfish OS community would really benefit from your support

Yw I agree specially with the new qcom cpu things should be better for the development as now it will have a better chance for stable roms, let's see how many intersted in it..
If there is one I am ready to ditch my warranty for it
You have my vote too.
I have the t-813 variant but from my knowledge t813 would benefit from a t-713 custom rom!

35 votes should be good enough, creating a tree for a new device requires much time/effort and too many debugging to maintain a final stable build , i worked before on projects where only few were intersted in my work and the other were downloading in the background without even hitting the thanks button, it's why I'm using a poll this time..

I am! It would be great because the T813 is hopefully the next one and I am waiting for it for months. I already lost my warranty because I did not checked it an thought it was a gts210wifi - bäm ... error ... and I had to learn that it was another (newer) tablet. I tried myself as much as I can, but I am a noob and need someone for help. My tablet is in a deep sleep and needs the lineage kiss to awake from the presumed dead.
You are right, it is not okay, the ones who make all these efforts and progress in the world of open source are not compensated enough. Only download it and never seen again. I hope at least the number of downloads and the huge amount of people you help, will be motivating you.
Ein dickes Danke aus Berlin! If you ask me, there must be a lot of guys out there, that would love to have your help too, but after so much time the tablet was released, not everyone looks, what new progress happened, like me. So please help me so I can use my tablet. (I refuse using it without lineage in the meantime.

Ditto to this. I think there as many or more 813 owners as there are 713 owners. Please make this work for my T813!

I would be interested if it supports the Snapdragon version.
I am also interested in a snapdragon version.
