Audio redirection to USB DAC - Xperia Z3 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I'm wondering is there any app to redirect sound to Creative SB X-Fi 5.1 Pro. I already made it with USB Audio Player from Play Store but I can't make it for all audio. I would like to redirect all sound from phone like game sounds, movies etc. not just music.
Any way to do that?

"SoundAbout" have alot of options including USB Client/Host redirects. Supports Media + Call audio. Give it a try available at Play Store.

I have tried this but no luck. Still only one app which allows me to redirect sound to this sound card was USB Audio Player

Are you using an USB OTG Cable?
What Android Version are you running?
Here's some info to shed some light on the matter, explaining in detail the functions of USB DAC and Android.

Could also explain why only AudioPlayer is working
SoundAbout in Host mode does the trick for me, though I don't have an SB X-Fi Pro.

Request: Sound Equalizer / Presets

Hi, I know it is annoying to start new threads But I have a request (if possible). Can a Sound Equalizer be ported to the android music player or presets such as Rock, POP, Classic, etc. if not, is there any particular 3rd party Music Player which brings a built-in EQ or Presets?
I did a basic research about this and found nothing helpful. just people who wanted to unload their awful day and bad mood on me. sorry and thank you.
i don't think it is possible with android at the moment....
Need API to allow audio stream manipulation. Same issue as video codecs and why Coreplayer team bailed on trying to port their killer app to Android.
Need direct hardware access for core functions such as audio and video. Anything else would be a stuttery cpu choking mess.
Thank you for your responses, guys. At least now I know I would have to stick to buying my headphones with internal amplifier and/or noise reduction if I want some significant changes in the music sound.

Bluetooth audio quality different depending on mp3 player app used?

I have my z1 setup in my car to play music via bluetooth into the car stereo.
With the sony walkman app, the stereo correctly shows the artist/song information and sounds pretty good.
However, if i use power player, the bluetooth sound quality seems noticeably worse and the stereo doesn't show the song information.
Has anyone else noticed this?
The reason i want to use powerplayer is because the walkman app, annoyingly doesn't' read the 'album artist' tags in songs, so it catalogues the music in a bizarre way if it is all correctly tagged.
Power player reads it properly and sorts via album artist.
I have all EQ + sounds effects turned off in both players and phone menu.
I'm using stock 4.4.4

Audio While Using Android Auto

So when I'm connected to my AVH-4100NEX, audio from Spotify works. Is this actually transmitting the audio over Bluetooth (and not USB)?
When connected, I noticed I cannot play Media audio from other apps. Why is this? Any way to get all Media audio to play when connected as Android Auto?
So far, the only advantages I'm seeing for using Android Auto vs Bluetooth audio are: Maps on screen, prettier Spotify on screen, Google Now on unit. I could do most of this with the phone itself over just Bluetooth.
Don't get me wrong, I really like it and this receiver, but it seems more limited. Perhaps it's for safety, but it's not all that much safer. In Spotify, you can't scroll through all of your library or lists "for safety", but who's to say that my passenger isn't scrolling?
I too have a 4100nex. I think music is played over Bluetooth. One way to know for sure is to disconnect the usb while it's playing.
As you said, you can't play music from other apps. There is a list of compatible apps that work with Android Auto. If it's not on that list, you can't use it. I didn't like the viewing restrictions on Google play music so I use an SD card for all of my music. I like Google maps and the texts over voice so for me, I like Android Auto for those reasons.
There is an app....... something reloaded. I can't think of the name but it will allow you to basically mirror your phone to the screen and you can access all of the apps. Good luck.

Play audio during call.

Hey taskers, I just have some problem using the default play audio and stream it into any available options like speaker, call. It just doesnt work. I mean i can hear the audio file being played, but the person on the other end cannot.
Is there any alternate way to accomplish this task? Like a plugin or something?
I used cm13.
Thanks in advance!
No way (android limitation)

USB Audio player pro HiRES support added

With a recent update USB Player pro has added support for Hires audio to the A70.
It can now play Hires audio like FLAC, streaming service like Tidal (including with software MQA decoding) & Qobuz
PCM stream can be send directly to the internal DAC in bit-perfect.
I made some tests to compare the output with my USB Dac and so far the quality is on par
I wish Android auto would support USB Player, would be so perfect
downloaded it for my lg v20 today holy moly it is totally worth the money. so many cool options with it too. I have some original flac cds on my library aand some stream downloads from online purchases and it sounds alot different than i imagined. Will give my thoughts still playing around with it.
