Hi, I'm trying to repair one Z3C phone, one component is missing (rip-off, chipsize 0201, probably resistor) and probably reason why TS is not working.
Is there anybody that maybe have some damaged non working motherboard for selling, it would help a lot.
Or if anybody have open device, if there is a possibility to measure this component on board (it is probably resistor)?

do you have a broken wizard you'd like to sell? simply put it under www.ebay.com and signal the broken wizard offer (THE LINK!) under this thread - specifying the type of defect.
There is a number of OTHER broken wizards (like mine!) that could be repaired by recovering parts from others. And very often we could repair more than one - so after you've repaired yours you could try to resell the remaining pieces.
So, anybody having a broken wizard: follow this thread and we will ALL save money!
As you know, the service manual is very detailed and allows easy replacement of many parts: screens, keyboards, mainboards, stylus holders...batteries!
anyway, we are not anymore under warranty....right?
Comments also welcome, since keep the thread high in the list...
i installed a wm6 rom in my phone and reset it.but may phon no turn on.an no conect with active sync and no conect with adaptor.
on of my friend say to me that my k-jam flash is damaged and in my country cant service it.

You may be flashing a G3 ROM to a G4 device. If you device can't even charge, then it is the case. It is a brick and not repairable by your own.
You could try buying a device from eBay with a broken LCD and using it's motherboard in your phone. All the Wizard models have the same motherboard. This is what I had to do when I bricked mine!
i need for JTAG
my device ic-flash is full out, and i must JTAG my device.
please help me about JTAG process and describ JTAG with pictures for me.
thank all
JTAG is still not achievable, its not possible yet.many have tried to do it.
Take my advice, sell it for parts and get a new device.
Mods ,plz close this thread.

Best way is to buy an broken LCD wizard from ebay or anyother site and then replace its LCD with your Wizards LCD, but try buying a G3 Wizard becoz its "Easy to Cook and Easy to Eat".
Unfortunately (or perhaps it is a good thing) i seem to be the first with this problem: my kaiser suddenly will not connect anymore via usb. I have been synching it for months, but all of a sudden it did not work anymore. I have come to the conclusion that the problem is the usb connector on the phone, some contacts inside might be damaged. It still possible to charge the phone. Connecting via bluetooth is also still possible.
I have come to the conclusion that this is a hardware issue this way:
I did not change anything on the phone or on the pc, the other day it just did not work anymore. I used another usb cable: same problem. I used another pc: same problem. I used another phone and connected that to the pc: no problem. When i connect the phone, normally the pc registers a USB connection/device and makes the familiair sound. It does not anymore. No icons apear and activesync keeps saying "not connected". I did the following things to try to solve the problem: i returned to the factory settings, i did a couple soft resets, i removed and reinserted the simcard. all to no effect.
I called HTC and since i am still within the warranty period they offered me to have it picked up by courrier and fixed within two weeks. The small catch is: i have a non standard rom, spl and radio on it and i unlocked my phone with the utility found on this forum. This situation voids my warranty according to customer services, eventhough the problem is hardware related. I have two questions i really would like anwsered:
1. Is it possible to return the phone to a state where HTC will not notice i "tampered" with it, thus allowing me to use my warranty and have it fixed for free? If so, how? (It is a Dutch HTC TytnII which i obtained with a "Hi" subscription)
2. What would you recommend me to do if 1. is not an option? If i have to pay the repair expenses myself, is there any estimate how much it will cost? Can i let HTC fix it or rather go find some electronics shop?
thanks for your interest!

I will answer your questions even though you are not the first, you are about the 10,000 th person with this problem, which you would have known had you searched first instead of starting a new thread first.
Yes you can return the phone to a stock state by flashing your stock rom back through your SD card. Unfortunately your stock spl can only be flashed back through a USB connection.
The expense involved in putting in a new usb plug is probably worth more than the phone at this point. I would keep trying new cables and other means. Take a magnifying glass and check your terminals. Some times they can become bent. Very gently make sure they are all straight.

I got my cappy a while back as a backup. Rooted, installed cm and moved on to the "captivating xperia theme'd rom" that I found here. I have a GS3 so I decided to get a sim card adapter to use it in the cappy. I tried it out and it worked great. Unfortunately from there I had the stupid idea to put the empty sim adapter in the captivate's slot because I thought "hey this is really small and I don't want to loose it". The adapter card just got stuck on the push pins that make contact with the sim and when i pulled it out one broke off.
So, I searched around and found a nice main board replacement guide. I also found a replacement board for about $17. The main board has the sim card and ext sd card structure attached, but I don't know what else is contained in there?
Does anyone have experience with this type of hardware replacement?
What is contained in the "sim card and sd card pcb board? With this new board will my device be hardware with no software? Will I have to flash everything as if it were straight off the assembly line or is that info contained somewhere else in the phone?
Thanks for any help

I'm not 100% certain but the last time I had my cappy opened up I believe the sim/sd card board attaches to the main board via ribbon cable. If that's the case then you should just be able to swap out what was broke and move on. Again I'm not certain of this and don't have the time before heading to work to disassemble my phone to check.
As far as what you would need in terms of software on a complete replacement I'm sorry to say that I have no idea.
hey thanks for the response -
indeed there is a big ribbon with over 20 pins on it that comes up from what may actually be the main board along with a smaller one
then there's the ribbons that go from this board i've taken out to the cam and the speaker as well
i've actually already got the thing disassembled and waiting on the new board
i hope this is the case and i don't have to worry about trying to flash from the very start

Just in case anyone saw this thread or encountered the same issue with the sim card/sd card slot -
I got the parts easily and fast from global direct parts
I switched the parts out and the phone works great
The SD/Sim portion of the board actually separates from the main board with some simple shielding underneath
I found a great tear down guide here -
http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Installing+Samsung+Captivate+Motherboard/6823/2
But you have to go one step further and pull separate the sd/sim board at the end.
Hello
After an unfortunate event - my dear Mi8 got broken and won't turn on anymore.
What's the method here, please, in order to recover my memory? Any "precise" thoughts on how to do this?
I was thinking of buying another one and just exchange the PCB (motherboard) from the non-working in to the working one
Thanks and let me know about this, please
