I am planning to buy a Android Wear (Specifically the Moto 360).
I've already checked the android wear test site and it was compatible with my Nokia X2 (because it was based on 4.3}.
I still have doubts if this can run alongside with my phone knowing that this phone initially doesn't support Google Apps.
Can anyone confirm that this (Nokia X2) is working with an android wear product.

Did you get one and is it compatible? The WearCheck site says it's compatible at least.
Not yet.

Question, do we need the android wear app to be installed to nokia x2. If so, does the app require google play services?
Sent from my Nokia X2 using Tapatalk
You need to know that everything that you will do with your android wear watches is ask google voice search (run apps, reply messages and everything else). So, of course you need installed google play services, play store and google now app (and actually many more google apps because other's developers apps not compatibility with android wear.

Well yes. I still didn't brought one so I don't know what are the required apps to be installed. Sad, but though I love this phone im considering buying a zenfone 6 so I can use the smartwatch properly.

The Moto 360 has suddenly stopped as incompatible on http://g.co/WearCheck when checking from the X2. It say's 4.3 is required and your phone is Android but not a 4.3 :S
That's weird. It showed as compatible a few weeks ago.

where have you seen this? becasue i highly doubt that Since they all run Tizen and no android rom has ever been released for them
Either you saw a fake video or just some app for screen mirror of phone
Before the tizen update you could do all this. But now we cant do nothing with them.

not sure
It may have been a fake but I seen too many videos with the other watches running android fully. .hell they even said it like having a mini S5 on your wrist... I cant post an outside link up yet but I can email the link to yall...and let me ask you this do you ever think we can change the tizen os to android
app
there is a app named AppLauncher on gear store that looks like the gear would run android, but it only starts apps on the phone, and No i dont think we will ever have android on the gear
If you are going to buy one what will you pick WebOS or Android Wear?

Without a doubt WebOS, i hope it comes to the U.S., looks like i'll have to wait til at least 2016 for that.
I would love the WebOS, exactly what I want. A Gear S with a circular screen that has an OS actually designed for a circular screen. Plus it has a 700mah battery which is huge compared to the watches that have come out so far.
I have fallen for this watch and now subscribed to there threads here on XDA.
I am just wondering what will be the price for LG Urbane LTE. Hope fully its not highly priced, 400Euros is affordable I will be able to purchase this.
i've never been fascinated with smart watches because of those square and rectangle displays. I never liked the Moto watches aswell as they were more of vintage rounded watches not this could be a big game changer in the smart watches world.
I am also looking forward for this but the LTE looks too big. Also, the fact that I would have to pay for another data plan is not good. Why can't they make it with WebOS and wifi only?

Yes, this! Looking for an Urbane LTE, but without the LTE. I like the LTE style the best out of all the smart watches at the moment. Hopefully it is very efficient and they'll support more than just Android for companion apps/interfaces.
I will defo go for Android Wear Google will be bringing more updates to it and already has tons of apps while on webOS you wont get as many apps and development.

the biggest ones are there already(youtube, email*, massage*, camera shutter*, news apps)
*preinstalled
I choose Urbane because it is a standalone device rather than a companion device.

As much as I love WebOS, I've always been more of an Android person, so I'd have to go with that one.
battery on the us website lists it at 410mah - http://www.lg.com/us/smartwatch/urbane

How much does the LG G Watch R have?
It's the same. In fact the Urbane is identical to its predecessor with the exception of the packaging and updated version of Wear.

Any word on this one?? I too would REALLY appreciate the update to this so I can continue to use my watch.
Anyone willing to make a rom with andriod wear 2 ?
Had my neo working great on my nexus6P until the nexus crashed with the boot loop.
Was able to restore phone after a factory reset, but since then lost all watch faces I had. They used to be there under the new Wear OS (used to be andriod wear)
but all gone. The Rom i have is using andriod wear 1.4
It seems that 1.5 wear, and older, are not supported by wear OS app anymore. As Tizen does not work with non Samsung, my gear 2 neo have no connection to my mobile (Zuk Z2 Pro).
Does anyone know any turn around to make it connect to non samsung mobile?
@CaioCaFe to get your watch working with Android wear 1.5+, you just need to install an older version of the app on your phone, get set it up, then update the app on your phone. It will maintain the connection with your watch. As for going back to Tizen, the Samsung apps do work on some non Samsung phones, but it's relatively limited. There are some modded versions, but I couldn't get any of them to work on my old phone. My current phone (LG Stylo 3) is actually legit compatible, not that I would go back to Tizen if you paid me...unless it was enough to get a Ticwatch, lol.
That being said, I would also like to see Wear 2 for this watch.
Where can I find a android wear apk that works?

Hey, I just got an LG Stylo 3 and cant get my gear 2 neo to connect. I can connect via phone bluetooth, but wear cant find phone and the when I try to connect from the watch the watch wont find the phone. I can answer calls through the watch only. I have the old patch for gear version 2.1.14052101. Any help is appreciated.

If your watch has Tizen on it, you can't use Android Wear. You have to use the Samsung apps. If your watch has Wear, you have to go on apkmirror and get an old version of the app. I don't recall exactly how far back you need to go. Also, let the app find the phone. Don't connect it to Bluetooth first.
Any pointers on where to find an older gear apk?
Hi, everyone it work for gear 2 (ir and camera)

Best to check this thread:
Any chance of AW 2.0 being ported to the Gear Live?
Since there's no official support for the Gear Live with Android Wear 2.0, will there be any possibility of getting a 2.0 ROM modded for this watch?
