hi my name is hackmii i need some help
basicaly my samsung galaxy s (i9000) was running very slowly so i got cwm and then installed cm11 snapshot the installion said: installion aborted!: code (0)
then i restarted the phone expecting nothing to been changed then the phone came up with cyanogen(mod)
and then came up with a updated cwm then some error then it restarted and kept doing the same thing then i eventualy got into cwm and tryed restoreing it failed at /boot after that i tried to install cm11 again this time everything went smoothly but then i restarted expecting to see the cyanogenmod boot up but the phone would not get past the samsung galaxy s logo i then tried to get into recovery but it did not work after that i tried download mode that did work. so my question is can i fix my /boot with odin because right now im attempting to flash the stock firmware with odin
any help?
(fingers crossed)
Note i also have a nandroid backup from cwm on my pc on top of that my phone is a orange (carrier) GT-I9000 this is my only phone in a long time and it would really upset me if i couldnt recover it.
I am pretty sure the phone is busted. I have tried literally everything. I have tried flashing stock roms to the phone with odin. I have tried using the samsung recovery method. It is pretty much driving me crazy.
When I install a fresh rom, I get an EFS error also.
FRP is off.
When I am able to get it to the android recovery screen i see this
ANDROID RECOVERY
MMB29K.G920TUVS5EQA2
6.0.1
All of the boot opitons
At the bottom in red is says
E: failed to mount /efs (3 times)
dm-verity verification failed...
Its exactly as title states i was messing with stuff i had no business messing with and have gotten myself stuck in a boot loop where i cant access the recover options it just reads failed to mount like five times then does this process 3 times and resets it does still let me in download mode and ive been trying to flash back to Stock OS but it just keeps failing... Any advice on this matter would be wonderful and very much appreciated..
Also added info i was using Odin when i found myself in this pickle and i have a Tmobile Galaxy Note 8 (SM-N950U)
When i try to flash back to Stock i get (SW REV Check Fail : [ablFused 2> Binary 1)
I've tried flashing the Unknown (XAS) version of the N920PVPS3DRD1 firmware coming from the N920PVPS3DRD1 Sprint (cdma) Through odin. It got stuck on finding pit file, so I closed odin and now my device is stuck in a bootloop. It stays on samsung galaxy note 5 screen then restarts and goes to TWRP. When I go into download mode it doesn't display any information in the top left. I have a backup of the sprint version which I have tried restoring to (I haven't wiped any data in fear of losing the backup) However I have the backup on my PC too which I should be able to send to the device using ADB. This didn't work. And it is still stuck in a bootloop. Does anyone know how to solve the issue? Thanks.
Hi,
I'm trying to root the phone of a family member, but I got into a LOT of trubble.
According to the label behind the phone, it's SM-N9200, I attached the label without the IMEI.
After reading and learning, I decided to flash recovery and kernel inorder to root the phone.
1. So I flashed TWRP using odin based on this tutorial:
https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxynote5.html
I picked the version of: "China & China Duos (SM-N9200, SM-N9208)"
2. After flashing I got into recovery (without loading system), and flashed some kernel that should fit to this phone.
I picked the newest kernel in the forum:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/note5/development/kernel-samsung-galaxy-note-5-sm-n920-t3396722
But I think that this was a mistake, I don't know if this kernel fits to stock system.
The installation of the kerenl took ages (2-4 hours), the thing that took so long was the dealing with the system partition for the rooting.
3. Tried to boot into system, right in the start above the logo of samsung galaxy note5, I saw in red that the kernel is not seandroid enforcing.
But the system never booted, it just stuck in the black screen with the logo of samsung galaxy note5.
4. i tried another kerenl:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/note5/help/how-to-root-note-5-android-7-0-nougat-t3574986
But it didn't work and the phone is still it stuck in the black screen with the logo of samsung galaxy note5.
Now I don't know what to do...
I hope I didn't damaged the system and it's still recoverable.
I can't earse the phone, we want to recover all the data including all system.
Do you have any idea how can I resolve this?
Any idea?
