I've replaced the screen and frame from my OP3T and all went fine until I boot it, no screen visible problems but the touch doesn't work, I can't do anything. I factory reset and that stuff but the issue still persists, If you can help me or tell me something about it I would appreciate it a lot. Thanks.

i just recently bought my xda2s and it worked fine for a week though. now, from time to time my screen would be "untouchable". literally i cannot click anything or open anything even if i soft-reset it for 10x. buttons seem to work fine but the screen does not. it happened twice while my bluetooth was "on" and i thought maybe it was the bluetooth but recently the same thing happened with my bluetooth now turned "off". i have to wait for hours before it would return to normal again. Anybody help please? By the way, my bluetooth version is 1.0.0 build 3500.
I had a similar problem on my Samsung SPH-i700 PocketPC Phone through Verizon Wireless. Even after a hard reset, I couldn't get past the screen calibration, until I found out that a piece of hair and debris found on the outer edge of the screen right under the lip of the cover was interfering with the touch portion of the display. Apparently, the touch sensors extend past the visible area of the screen, so with both a little aircan and vacuum cleaning, the debris was picked up and the touch screen functioned normally again.
Is this a consistent and/or intermittent problem? Did a hard reset resolve anything?
look for the alignment
Do you have Calligragher 7.4 installed? I read about this in Tekguru website that if you re-install 7.3, the problem goes away. That is what I have done and it seems to be working for me so far (2 days test).
i've checked out my screen and i dont see any dirt or something... i even have a screen protector... dont know if that might cause the problem. Same thing happened last night but this time it was just for a short period of time then it went back to normal... I didn't try a hard reset cause i dont want to loose some of my files but if ever it happened again, i might try doing a hard reset and see what happens... right now, im having my xda2s checked if maybe it's a factory defect or something...
regarding the caligrapher program thing, i dont have that...
Hey, i have the exact same problem I bought mine here in Toronto, from an Asian dealer, its the O2 XDA IIs asia-pacific model.
Same problem, screen(touch screen) goes dead like no responses to any touches, for like half hour - 2hour once in a day or something and nothing cures it, hard soft rest nothing. just with time it suddenly starts working and the Handheld is useless until then...well i dont see any cure and this is the only place i have heard about someone else having this issue, i will take it back to the dealer, in hopes of exchanging.
any feedback will be will be appreciated

Hi guys, hope you can help me.
I've got a GT-S5830B that was working perfectly until, i dont know why, its touch screen just went crazy: its very weak, sometimes it responds, sometimes not, sometimes you have to press it for a while to get a response, sometimes you press some spot and it recognizes you pressed other spot.
Everything but the touch is perfect.
I went to a support place and the guy there told me it was a hardware problem for sure. He replaced my touch screen and the problem wasnt solved. Then, he said it was probably a problem in the "board" of the phone. He put my touch screen back on the phone and there i was with the same problem i had before. He didnt convince me about the "board" thing, so i tried a lot of stuff with my phone: i change my ROM 4 times, reset it like 400 times, wiped data cache, etc etc.
Suddenly, no reason at all, it started working and it worked for like 1 week. Then, when i was applying a plastic protection on the screen it stopped working properly again.
Is it a hardware or a software problem? I heard it could be something about the Kernel...?
Could the support guy has replaced my screen badly?
Sorry for the long post! Help me!!!!! Thank you!
Hi, I have a problem in my z3c, when I talk, screen doesnt go off. Also when I put brightness on auto, it stays the same all the time.

Are you using a screen protector ?

My phone had a problem and the supplier replaced it with a new piece. No problems now
Hi,
What kind of problem?
I also have the Ambient light sensor issue. The proximity sensor also fails.
The first time it happened, I tried (in last resort) a Factory reset, and both worked again.
But I'm not going to perform a factory reset every time these sensors stop working...
Help!
EDIT: I went back to the shop and they took it for repair. They declared a motherboard issue. In the end they gave me a new one.
i have same problem

Hi and sorry to ressurrect an old thread - I'm facing the same issue.
When trying to do the service check I get the same message as this video:
I removed the screen protector and the issue continues - anyone know what could be wrong?
Really hoping I won't need help from Sony as they were not helpful at all with my last query.
The issue can be seen on youtube under video name: Ambiance light sensor problem on xperia z3 compact D5803
Thanks,
Hi! I am having the same issue now... I restored it to factory settings but it did not help. Any ideas?
Hi,
After having unresponsive area of touch-screen on my Sony Xperia SP I decided to buy this from aliexpress and replaced it myself carefully. It works nicely, but after some time of using the touch stops responding. It might be that when I push too much to some very edge of this touch screen causes this (but sometimes not, so it is quite hard for me to detect what could be the real cause). After that I need to leave the phone for some time and eventually switch it off (by hardware OFF button on the back of the phone), then it works again. Restarting (switching phone on and off itself does not help, looks like one needs to wait and try to use again only a bit later). Does anybody have the same after touch-screen replacement on this phone, please? And maybe how did you manage to solve?
I have already tried to flash original firmware (generic CE1) inside (this works great with another phone Sony Xperia SP) just to be sure that it is not software related.
Thanks a lot in advance
Martin
I have replaced mine too but except from one issue everything is working fine. This issue is that the touch won't work if I restart the phone without turning it off before. That means that rebooting from the recovery into system and rebooting from system itself will make the screen unresponsive until I shut it down. Then everything is working normally. It's a bit annoying but if I simply turn it off and then on again instead of rebooting I can bypass this issue. I tried it with stock rom too and there the issue still persisted.
Furthermore I can push the screen as hard as I want and it does not affect the touch responsivness. That means if it's working it will still work after pushing it hard and if it's not working (because of rebooting) it will still not respond.
So I would either suggest you to check if it is connected correctly and if it is maybe replace it with a different one.
In my case the first screen replacement didn't work perfectly so I got a new one and that finally worked.

Thanks a lot for your response.
I actually took the phone apart several times (disconnected and reconnected connectors inside there), hoping that it could help. I also tried to put insulation between the touchscreen and the phone frame, as I noticed that it was attached on the original touchscreen, but was missing on the new one. So I gently removed it, then sticked it onto the new one. Still did not help with my issue.
Which kind of issue you had with your first replacement?
The issue was that a small part of the sreen didn't respond. The second one was working fine then.
You could order a new one and test if get's better. If not simply send it back. At least that is what I would do in order to minimze the possible sources dor that error.

Thanks for the reply once again. In the meantime I have contacted the seller, also got in contact with service-man, who is willing to have a look at it.
Then I wish you good luck :fingers-crossed:
Hi, since the last update, emui 10.1 about 15% of the right side of my cellphone screen stopped working, i tried different apps to see if there was a problem with the hardware, and i seemed like the phone doesn't recognize my finger when i touch the screen , i tried to hard reset the phone twice but that didn't solve the problem, i haven't dropped my phone, and it was working perfectly before the update, is there a way to resolve this issue? thanks a lot.
