Blinker LED alerts (SMS / CALL)

Hello, someone knows a similar app like this:
Blinker V0.53 - charging LED & TrackBall alerts(SMS / CALL / BATTERY / SIGNAL)
That works on the LG P970
This one: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.martinborjesson.o2xtouchlednotifications
it is great (tip: use the constant to save more battery)

You have to use it in constant mode to save the battery. If it is pulsing, it drains battery like 10 times faster...

and what about the permissions ?
Well, the way I see it: Weird Permissions = Do not Install. :/
Hi,
why not ask the developer about the permissions? He's here on XDA.
Regards,
Stefan

Yes i've tried several setups like constant mode but still it consumed battery more than the main display itself (check from about phone).
Nevermind since nova 3 i never used this app anymore.
Edit: after reading author's thread updates, maybe i will try the app again.

Just a heads up Facebook users

I have set my Facebook refresh rate to never, always have done. I've noticed lately, the Last couple of Facebook app updates, after you update the app, the refresh rate is set to 1 hour!!
This is just a heads up for people with poor battery life, as I believe this app is one of the biggest power suckers!! (not counting the screen)
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
It also seems to re-enable notifications you might have turned off previously. I have the refresh to 1 hour anyway so didn't notice this

Facebook always resets to the default settings after an update, its been this way ever since I can remember as I too always have to turn off notifications again after every update.

I've only ever had it happen recently (ie, last few updates). Previously it left them alone
my facebook app is a ****ing idiot, no matter how many times I reflash to a clean rom, delete data, change kernel the wakelock is stupidly bad, keeps my phone awake for 4 hours. When I close the facebook application I want it to close for good.

You can do what you want but using those things kills battery life.
Same thing with gmail..weather widgets..etc.
Keep them on auto and your battery life will be low.

So shouldn't there be a better implementation of the push updates? What's the big problem isn't even that, it's the damn wakelocks and there implementation, I hope This isn't really a good fix no offence to the applications maker I mean I can see where it'd come in handy. But greenifiying everything in sight is not a solution.
I don't know what you guys are doing but none of the apps (Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) drain battery life for me and they are all set to update automatically. Facebook app hardly uses any battery so long as you close it in recent apps once you've done using it

Although Facebook doesn't show up as using a lot of battery in the stock Android battery stats, I think this is misleading. I use betterbatterystats, and even when not using Facebook, it shows up as causing a lot of Android alarm wakeups, even with notifications completely disabled. For this reason, I freeze the app with titanium backup when not using it.

[Q] HTC One - phone statying awake during the night - Battery Drain

Hello All,
Need to grab peoples thoughts on the cause of my phone draining my battery during the night when I'm sleeping. Evidently from the usage history my phone's been staying awake the whole time? (see attached screenshot) I'm on 4.1.2 so I am waiting for the latest update in Canada (hoping it will come soon). Anyone else having this issue on the HTC one?
If I am right you have anti virus program ?
If yes, then try to dissable it and check the usage again.

Yep I do! I've got the TrustGo Security App. What do you think it's doing?
I'll try uninstalling it and see if that changes anything. Thanks for the tip.

If it is not a big issue for you just uninstall it and check if the things are going better. But for sure to check if the antivirus is the problem do not install or uninstall any other app.

Look into better battery stats and find out which app is causing the wakelock
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Could be any number of things. I wouldn't automatically blame TrustGo (I have it and it doesn't cause wakelocks). You need an app like Better Battery Stats to see what's going on.

This is the correct answer. If you don't have wakelock stats no one can help you.
Get better battery stats export the log and post it here. Until you do that nobody can give any real answers

[Q] Charging LED

The Droid 4 is the first phone I've ever had that doesn't light an LED to indicate that it is charging, or indicate that it is fully charged. Is there such a thing on this phone? If so, how do I turn it on? I don't want to have to wake the phone to check the battery level.

ive opened the apk and I don't see bools.xml anywhere
It looks like the free app Light Flow will do the trick, even on non-rooted phones. The app gives me the option to change the colors, even. Nice selection too. The one thing I can't seem to make it do is keep the LED on continuously, even when I use Light Flow's Always On setting. Must be some setting Motorola has locked down. But at least I can tell at a glance whether the phone is charging or not, even when it's sleeping. Plus, Light Flow lets me set the LED to a different color when the battery is fully charged. Awesome for a free app. :good:

You have to decompile the apk.

Disable accelerometer wakeup

Any way to do this? It doesn't work very well and it's probably just draining the battery.

Actually, if you move your wrist up in vertical motion while rotating the clock, it works almost 100% of the time.
