Hi,
is there any away to unlock (the network lock) the phone?
Thanks
flash another firmware? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1260707
no, it doesn't work... problem isn't in flash... it's locked like other models, but by another method now it's possible onle with buying codes
Hi, I had to unlock a Galax ACE and I did it succesfully.
The problem is that I can't find the same file with the unlock code in the Samsung Galaxy S Plus.
Some people post that the unlocking methods for Samsung Galaxy S or S2 doesn't work with S Plus. Now I have confirmed that Galaxy Ace method doesn't work.
Regards
I'll keep waiting ...
In custom firmwares like CM7 or equivalent, the network is unlocked. The rom i mentioned above has an unlocked network. It is the rom and not the hardware which locks the network that's why you can unlock it.
Hello
I just flashed my french SGS+ with the rom mentionned above but the network is lock yet

Isn't there a way to root any version of this device yet? I can live without cyanogenmod or many custom roms but without root would be really tough.
There is root and cyanogenmod 12 for g800f and g800h.

I know about cyanogenmod but I'm wondering about root. Where are the posts about root? Can you post them here? I looked in the development and original development (as well as the general forum) and didn't see anything.
I used this method to root my SM-G800F:
http://androidxda.com/root-samsung-galaxy-s5-mini-sm-g800f
It worked very well
Sent from my SM-G800F using XDA Free mobile app

Thanks for sharing !
But i have one small question: do you need to unlock the bootloader in order for this to work ? Because they always say that in rooting tutorials.

Just unlock bootloader in Motorola's devices, in Samsung's devices no need it but your knox counter will trigger like unlock bootloader (warranty is void)

Yours is still a G800F phone. There shouldn't be any problem using the method suggested.

Wow thank you for the swift response! I'm sure you are correct, but my only concern is the bottom of the post containing the tutorial states its ONLY for a build No. different from mine. Again any further advice would be a great help! Thanks

I hadn't notice that. I guess you can ask in some chainfire specific forum or wait for someone that has rooted successfully with a slightly different phone model number.

I performed a software update when I got the phone a few weeks ago - does this change the build No? Kind of annoying if so, haha - as probably could have rooted with the method mentioned otherwise!
Anyway, thanks a lot for the advice I'll check in a Chainfire forum.
Cheers

Have rooted my phone now! :good: Found the info on another thread - it would appear that the root file I used (CF-Auto-Root-kminilte-kminiltexx-smg800f.tar.md5) is identical to the one mentioned in this thread - so in this case build No doesnt seem to matter. Cheers

Hello everyone im having a hard time identifying the model number of my Galaxy Tab A 8.4 2020 edition by t-mobile. it states on device checker that its model number is Sm-T307U so when i try to look up root methods and custom roms for this device theres hardly any information found. Is it because this tablet is relatively new ? or do i have the wrong model number?
i would appreciate any help and knowledge on this matter thank you ! :fingers-crossed:
That is the model number. I own one too. There is no OEM unlock which makes it highly unlikely this model will ever be rooted or have ROMs produced for it.
I'm concerned if there will ever be any updates for it, even security updates...

Disappointing
if you go to settings and enable developer options, you can turn on the "OEM unlocking" which says that it will allow the bootloader to be unlocked

Can anyone comment on this? I do not own this tablet yet, but I do want to make sure that this option is available since I do intend to root it once I bought it. Any insights will be appreciated!

Thanks a lot! I wonder if flashing different firmware would make a difference. I might experiment in a few days.
I'd like to just find the stock firmware for it. It doesn't show up on the sammobile site and I don't know if I trust some of the other places where they say they have it. Need to flash the stock firmware in order to get rid of a Google Lock. If anyone knows of a trustworthy source, please post it. Thanks!

The latest one I have on my device is T307USQS4BTL1. I found it on https://samfrew.com/download/Galaxy...2020-__/4hbc/SPR/T307USQS4BTL1/T307UOYN4BTL1/ but I haven't tested it myself. Hope it's kinda helpful.
Yeah, I've seen that one out there, along with a few on other sites that I don't really know if they're trustworthy or not. I was hoping there was something out there on a website that someone could vouch for before I downloaded it. I think I'll just have to see which site looks the least likely to have malware on it. Thanks for the reply!
I hope one is found out
Did someone fix this for me

It is because the bootloader is locked by the carrier. You can't root it or install custome ROMs, unless T-Mobile unlocks it.
From A.I.X. stock-based ROM Dev Aeronliru, a.k.a. AeronLee. He is no longer active on XDA, but he asked me to post this mod to help V30 owners here.
EDIT (May 12, 2021): Sorry, the dev has asked me to remove this. He no longer wishes to share it. I am respecting his wishes.

I replied in the other thread where you asked about this.
TheDannemand said:
What exactly is not working?
ADB doesn't require Enable OEM Unlock to be set. Just plug it in and ADB away - unless drivers or cable or port aren't working
And your bootloader is still unlocked if it was unlocked before you flashed stock Oreo. You should be able to enter fastboot using the steps described in the post just before yours.

Probably best to continue in that thread, as this has nothing to do with the mod posted here.

Just to be clear, your question has nothing to do with this modification posted in this thread: LG V30 Unlocked Bootloader Warning Disabler. I don't want people thinking if they flash this, then something unwanted will happen. Your question is off very topic for this thread, which is in the Themes, Apps, Mods section and is only about removing the Unlocked Bootloader Warning.
You also asked same question elsewhere, in a correct section. So, thank you for that. But I wished you had not polluted the first page of this thread with an irrelevant question, which may confuse people.
