After ONE UI 3.0 the geekbench benchmark of the S20 FE 5G SNAPDRAGON 865 is very low, comparing to the past ONE UI 2.5
The multi- core is the worst.
Been getting results like
SINGLE CORE: 851
MULTI CORE: 2783
Weird that when Europe gets the first samsung with a snapdragon version available, it gets bottleneck like this?
Seems more like samsung is trying to hide the performance difference between EXYNOS and SNAPDRAGON. The multi core performance now looks like exynos 990

Unfortunately... Not so global... Especially for the US.
Although your multi-core score is a bit under 300 less than mine, your single-core score is only 13 less than my S20FE running OneUI 2.5. It could very well be cases of testing anomalies, installed software or testing environment causing differences. Or... It's probably just a case of new OS version that hasn't been entirely ironed out. You still appear to have slightly better scores than Exynos 990 (about midway between Exynos 990 average and my average on multi-core by the look of it), so unless you notice a significantly worse battery life, I wouldn't assume that Samsung has succeeded in dumbing down the SD865 to Exynos levels yet. Have a good one!
i'm having the same issue, i posted about it on reddit.

i'm only getting 2600 for multicore (base s20 - snapdragon 865). previously i got 3000

2014 is a great year for mobile device industry. Numerous flagships of big brands and also some black horses run into the best choice list. To help you make the right call, AnTuTu picked the top 10 smarthphones for you, according the testing items (CPU, GPU, UX, ROM and etc.) of AnTuTu benchmark V5.0 and above. This ranking report is based on device testing data submitted by AnTuTu benchmark users, covering more than 160 countries.
Meizu, Nexus 6 and Samsung Alpha got top 3.
Half of top 10 are from China manufacturers.

top 10 in 2013 VS 2014
Why note 4 in 4th
And why it score only 44669
exynos 7 better than this
Shame in real life the Note 4 (Snapdragon version) is a lot slower than the benchmarks would suggest.
Sluggish OS performance and sluggish game performance put's it well below it's place in the benchmarks in my book.
HTC One M8 at the very least frankly shows it up when it comes to speed and fluidity.
A rom, debloat and tweaks makes model f a bit more smooth. But it's sad that you have to. Old N5 or M7-8 is another league, so it's down to TouchWiz. For some this a deal breaker and for some not. I hope that A5 will change this a bit.
You never know

Pftt...nonsense antutu score of only 44k. I'm getting around 51k on my N910C exynos version.
Under 45000? People must be bench marking in a sauna. I will always get 49xxx-50000.
This was at room temp and device temp was normal.. Not sure what was going on here but I mostly get around 48-49000

That's scary! Did you put it in the freezer just long enough for it to reach 0C and then get the phone out to do the test....
My Exynos was always at 49k, now after the ultimate kernel and 1080p resolution it gets 52k every time. 45k? That must be SnapD.
just wonder about that.
some say exynos 5420 support hmp by theory, yet samsung disable it, while 5422 / 5430 / 5433 support in reality.
i check it by cpuz, it clearly shows cluster switch and only 4 cores can be use at the same time.
5433 (note 4)

5430 (samsung alpha)
5422 (ODROID-XU3 Lite System)
5420 (note3)
even note3 get lollipop update, kernel is still a 3.49, no hmp will be given, it shows only linux about 3.10 can support hmp.
and i don't think samsung will update kernel for us.
Heat and battery-life wise I do not reckon they would enable this.

Ah this conversation again. The exynos5420 was supposed to support hmp but ended up being broken and as such will never work. Sorry guys.
Yep. According to AndreiLux it is impossible to be implemented for our Exynos5420. He has stated the exact reasons why in various posts on the Web.
I have seen evidence of working HMP on Samsung Exynos5420 at one of the developer shows a year or so back though, but doesn't necessarily mean a software patch will make it work here. Hardware needs work too, which we can't change. ...
CPU-z
i just noticed something else wrong with my galaxy tab s 8.4 the CPU-Z info "http://i.cubeupload.com/3LpKj0.png" the exynos 5420 suppose to be with 4 slow cores at 1.5 and 4 fast cores at 1.9 but on this info from CPU-z it shows them all as 1.9 somehow , and also here "http://i.cubeupload.com/vUgZnP.png" it shows the screen dpi 320 instead of 359 . is it the same on your device as well ? can you share any screenshots or info thanks im using CPU-z 1.1 btw

Article: "Galaxy Note 9 camera getting even better with latest update"
This is awesome. I just knew, or hoped they'd update the camera to perform better.
Though I have zero complaints, as my photos are amazing.
Here is a link to a few photos I have taken on the beach. I have no complaints with the camera. But watching comparisons, the note 9 fault is with Dynamic Range.

Android Authority: Galaxy Note 9 camera getting even better with latest update.

Snippet:
"The 302MB OTA, firmware version N960FXXU2ARI9, comes with the September 1 security patch and includes specific upgrades like brighter faces when the subjects are backlit, less noise in low light shots, and better brightness in low-light.
Samsung also says it has improved the day/night HDR control accuracy."

I haven't noticed any major improvement - pictures are still quite soft in particular human hair in portrait mode is an issue the same with noise levels at lower iso, and I agree on the Dynamic Range being an issue too. Hopefully, Samsung will continue the development or perhaps and more likely we get a Google Camera Port from the Pixel 3.
My camera works great. I will believe it when I see it about the new update. Samsung might fix one thing but break another.
When we can expect this release?
My phone shows that it already has September 1 security updates. Will I get this camera ota update or not..

I think it's more likely in the US, we will get this firmware with October security patch.

The report I read was that it was seen/released in Germany. We'll probably get it next year.
*Cries in August patch and "The latest updates have already been installed"
Time to download DBT stock ROM and flash over my "latest update" XME ROM
Considering this update has been in testing the last two weeks I doubt it will handle the blurring people are seeing on pets. Hopefully the freeing issues get fixed but I wouldn't bet on that.
Maybe I'm a pessimist but I don't take their change logs at face value. I'll get happy when I see results.
I havent seen any comments on it yet. Waiting for mine to arrive. Its the HK version. Like Note 20 Ultra its snapdragon like the US version but dual sim like the European version (with similar bands, so it wont get 5G in the US). Snapdragon dual sim Note 20 Ultra has been great but it is literally the last version to get upgraded (its still on android 10 today).
Yep. Got mine yesterday. The exact model number is SM-G998B/DS
No, that's not the same. That's the dual sim exynos version. Yours is 998B/ds. 9980 is the dual sim snapdragon (whenever they add the 0 it's the Chinese snapdragon version).
Any there any review compare directly 9980 snapdragon adn 998B exynos 2100? Are there difference?

Some users are stating the SM-G9980 in the US on T-mobile's network are getting the 5G. As far as performance the Snapdragon and Exynos SoC's are comparable however the Snapdragon devices will deliver superior gaming due to their improved CPU. AnTuTu comparisons reflect the difference.

I would love to know everyone's opinion that is currently running Android 12 beta 5. I'm getting the best performance and battery life of just about any phone I've ever owned but this is also my first Pixel device. I also find the UI of Android 12 to be quite striking and a bold move in the right direction for Google. I will upload some screenshots of my benchmarks and device set up for those who are on Android 11 and curious about the beta's performance/aesthetic. Anyone else on this firmware please feel free to leave your thoughts/impressions/concerns in this thread.

agree, I like it as well. Although, I think the 5a could be just a little bit faster. Sometimes it's a little sluggish. But I am spoiled by S21Ultra and OnePlus8 Pro which I don't have anymore. The battery life is stellar. Sometimes I get through 2days before I have to start charging.
cheers

What happened to your OnePlus and S21 Ultra? Just curious.. I can relate though my previous phone was an LGV60 so I understand about the speed.. this is my first "Mid-range" device but I have to say aside from the speed/processing power of the V60, I think this Pixel 5a is superior in every other way. I'm definitely excited to see what kind of developmental support we'll be getting as more people get their hands on the device. If its already this good on stock android, I can't wait to see what this phone can do on a custom ROM.

I sold my OP 8Pro to buy the S21 Ultra. That was my downfall....
there is a long thread here that explains what happened to me with horrible Samsung Support story. Bottomline, screen had manufacturing problem and it took me 4 months to get my money back and it involved the consumer court.
I really like the 5a, don't get me wrong. It runs the latest Android, which I would not be able to do on the OP 8Pro or the S21 Ultra. The camera is wonderful. The sluggishness is mostly due to the fact that I got so used to >90Hz refresh rates.
cheers
What to expect and when ? And are we going to see 4.1 like we did with beta 2&3.
