Hey guys,
PLEASE REGARD THE INFORMATION BELOW AS A REFERENCE ONLY!!!
Here are the ATRIX SKUS that we can confirm OLYEM U4 1.4.2 to work on:
South Korean Atrix (Information pending)
Brazillian Atrix (Base OLYLA U4 0.50.0)
Argentinian Atrix (OLYLA U4 0.50.0 Variant)
Canadian Atrix (OLYLA 0.37.4)
Australian Atrix (Obvious.)
This has shown to unlock HSUPA (High-Speed Uplink Packet Access) on the Korean and Brazilian models. As for the other phones, it is unknown whether or not they are restricted in this fashion. Telstra modem caters to all these regions as it is world phone standard and therefore does not hinder connectivity.
Korean Atrix was confirmed tonight as someone repaired a full brick using 1.4.2
As for Brazillian Atrix there have been numerous posts on XDA as well as Brazilian forums. Argentinian Atrix followed suit as well.
If you brick your phone on your STOCK ROM, please PM me and I'll gladly help.
Now that I've seen users flashing the XT883 ROM including radio (?), would it be possible in the future to make any XT862 a XT860? (since they have the same hardware..)
Thanks
As long as there is no SBF of an XT860, we can never know. We could be optimistic though... Maybe.
Okai but if the hardware is the same, why wouldn't it be possible?

For now is not possible, a post on a chinese forum gave some hopes about that.
Was written about an Xt883 (droid) transformed in me863 (milestone).
I looked in to it and I believe it's a fake.
The method posted doesn't work and doesn't can.
The ME863 rom is available and flashable on XT860, but not on XT862 or XT883.
BTW, i believe this is a purposed limitation due to some signatures and not an impossible task due to HW differences.
For the moment it's all still a bit unclear but good news we could maybe flash roms on the XT860 at a certain moment.
XT860 is a bit left behind . Bell needs to update their device and we can start doing stuff I guess.
So I flashed my ME863 to a brazilian retail XT860 rom in order to install CM9 in safestrap. However I lost my connection, no gsm. I discovered too that when I choose a radio mode in the menus, it auto selects the next one instead of the one I chose (not sure how to explain, maybe a bug?). I tried to flash willis11's old data patch aswell, but then the phone would get stuck at the CM9 bootup screen. Any suggestions?
Is it possible the "old" Willis patch you used was made for gingerbread (not ics)?

Tried it with the 'new' patch too. Same result. Thought the kexec cm9 had gsm umts native support?
Is the new one you tried the one from here http://dl.hash-of-codes.com/ROMs/solana/cm9/ ?

No it wasn't! It was from an old thread I found. Will try to flash it tomorrow. I will report back!
Edit: got radio working, max of 2 radio bars though. I think it's just visual bug?

Your ME863, is it from Asia region like Hong Kong or Taiwan??
Is the signal greatly improved after flashing to Brazilian Rom?
I have an ME863 from Hong Kong and signal strength is very disappointing. Afraid to flash it to Brazilian Rom and bricking it.
Hope you can enlight me pls. Thanks
The two bars thing is a bug indeed.

I have to flash a service pack, but how to flash a service pack?

According to the above post, the Canadian O2X is called P999 (G2X). Flashing a P990 ROM will likely cause a brick to your device.

That's not necessarily correct... Canadian O2X may very well be P990hn (you can still get it today from Fido), which works just fine with any P990 ROM. P999 is another model for AWS frequencies used by Wind in Canada.

I am not sure what you mean by "not supported"... True, V30 (either A or B) has not been officially released for Canada (or North America, for that matter), but both versions actually work in Canada. V30B (unlike V30A) doesn't have a Canadian English language option, but US English is still there. I am currently running a clean stock V30B, and I am happy with it. However, I would refrain from recommending a particular ROM, as it's mostly a personal choice...
Hey everyone,
seems like LG also updated the Korean V40 (V409N) to Pie (Source: https://www.lge.co.kr/lgekor/contents/mobile/swUpgradeDetail.do?swSeq=881 )
Would be nice if we had some Korean users here too, who would be nice enough to pull/upload a kdz (or atleast grab a link to it)
Should be able to get it to work on the V405EBW (european open market), by twrp flashable zip (will publish all that as soon as its stable and i have a bit more time)
Best regards
Markus
Edit: its public now
Link to KT KR: http://pkg02.lime.gdms.lge.com/dn/d...C2VTAG4E036C9IO/V409N20c_00_KT_KR_OP_0527.kdz
(dont have SKT or Open KR yet)

Well, OTA for the models which its already released for.
Verizon/Sprint already seem to have it. Korean models now too (even though no kdz available there yet it seems... or LG just put the SW update notice there and forgot to push the actual update....)
