1) To be ultimately sure, take out everything that is connected on all USB ports (and I mean, ALL) EXCEPT your Xperia. Also, uncheck the "Advanced Network Functionality" of ActiveSync.
2) If you have the same problem after following my advise, change to another USB port. Try every single port.
3) If you still get disconnections, try another computer (or laptop).
4) Problems still persist? then check your USB cable itself (or the USB ports) if it is faulty.

That's kinda dumb, you don't need to connect it to Flash mode for X8 Toolbox.
Just connect it to your PC, go to Settings -> Applications -> Development ; and then tick USB Debugging.
When finished, select option 99, to reboot the device, and then disconnect it.
If you need more help, PM me

Besides have ADB Debugging enabled, he should also have the USB connection set to Charge Only, not HTC Sync or Disk Drive. This is not a ROM issue that, it is simply a setting and driver issue.
using ....XT1068

Do you have Motorola Device Manager Installed?
If not then Download Here: Click Here
Yes it is installed properly
Ok.
First check this : First open Settings then navigate to Storage and touch the upper-right corner for the USB computer connection options. Make sure Media device (MTP) is selected.
If this doesn't work then well you need to update the driver for your phone which your computer is using. Go to device mangaer on your pc and click on your phone name and update all drivers(left click to see options).
Still not working
It worked for half hour and then gone again
Hello, I've just flashed stock firmware to my XT1068. Works perfectly but now i can't connect to my PC with usb, but can connect to other PCs. In device manager (I have a win 10 PC) there is a yellow triangle near my XT1068, under "unrecognized devices": my phone does see the connection, but my PC doesn't. Where can I download the correct drivers?
