The stock kernel is perform very well in terms of battery performance.
And consider smooth and stable.
Tips: go pages 49 or 51 to get the modify rom ( about 768mb ). Flash it over ebyee jb rom with wipe cache and dalvik cache only. This modify rom will give almost the fix such as root explorer and restore problem thru titanium backup.
Good luck mate.

How did u root?
What kernel are you on?
Go to settings about phone and check
Yes you can flash the stock firmware thru pc Odin in pda tab and it will remove root.

Im not sure if i need the root to got the custom rom paranoid android jelly bean on my phone
i used this to root
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26455511&postcount=2475
you will need to be rooted and on a custom kernal like hydracore etc in order to any custom rom on be it paranoid or any aother the custom kernal will help to make wiping and installing safer tho there is always a risk
i had paranoid on all i did was install hydracore kernal then wiped etc and installed paranoid with cwm i did not reinstall a stock rom there is no need
lol backup efs with ktool, save on computer, then flash a tar file kernel, like speedmod or hydra with ktool.
Reboot recovery, do the wipes, format system/data and dalvik cache. Flash jb zip, gapps (see first post rom thread) and done
If you have lots of apps, and want to keep them, do a app2zip (app from playstore) and flash that after
all own risk, and will lose data, but is cleanest way to go

hi all!
i flashed miui rom on my note and think that it is too fancy for my simple taste. so i wish to go back to stock ics rom. i am thinking to:
1. reboot to recovery
2. wipe data/factory reset
3. wipe dalvik cache
4. restore backup
is this the correct procedure? or would i have to flash the LRT rom again and root and everything? sorry i have to ask because i think for someone not as tech-savvy as most people here, it is better to be safe than sorry. thank you for any help.
PS also anyone know of any mod to join unlimited number of contacts? i can't seem to find anything. found something but then the link it led to was already dead.

If you have a backup of the stock rom you like to go back to I would recommend flashing Abyss4.2 kernel first which over a long time has been considered as safe with wipes and stable with install/restore (except for some backups made with cwm 6+).
After install of Abyss4.2 and rebooted recovery: perform a full wipe and restore your backup.
If you want a clean stock rom instead you can download one and install with Odin =)

I am currently running CM10, I'm completely satisfied by the ROM itself, but a quick question popped up - how do I install a custom kernel on my new ROM? Which one is the best for CM10?
And excuse me for such question - what is the main purpose of kernel?
Thank you in advance!

I use devil kernel I will link it soon, with devil kernel you can save battery, but you still have performance, and if you install devil kernel manager from play store (first one),you will be able to switch your Wi-Fi between power saver and long range mode: )
P.S. sorry if the are any mistakes, but I just installed touch pal, it is a so cool swipe keyboard: )

1.wipe all caches like dalvik and do factory reset
2. Install a room what would you like (Android 4.1.2 jelly bean) (install Gatos if you need them)
3. Reboot
4. Let it load fully (boot )
5.reboot in recovery
6.install devil kernel what I linked to you
7.reboot
8.download devil kernel manager
(if you swipe right in the tabs, and course misc, there is stronger Wi-Fi option)
9.enjoy
10. Press thanks... (not really I won't force you, just kidding xD ) so the real 10. Is ask if you have trouble: )

2. If it's running xxlsa it could be root d as well. Can check by installing root checker or if super user or supersu is there.
3. Is cwm already there.?
Hello guys,
I use Galaxy Note-N7000 and the issue with my device is ever since I upgraded to Jelly Bean 4.1.2,my device has slowed down,I am now starting to think its because of Note unable to handle Jelly Bean.I even tried factory resetting and re-installing Jelly bean a couple of times, but it hasnt helped.I also see RAM consumption being very high with only a few apps on my device.
What could be slowing down my device?I was told Kernels speed up our devices, will it work?If so can you guys recommend me any good kernels and steps to install them?
I would really appreciate any help, guys. Please be kind
Thank you!
That's normal. Whether use ics or higher than 4.1.2.

Flashing through Odin shouldn't need root, just USB debugging enabled. I have never flashed anything via goo manager, but if You will get the flashable file You will be able to flash it then. And it will change the cwm.
To download kernels just go to android development section for our service and search the forum for "kernel" in the topic. Our You can also Google "kernel n7000"
