Hi everyone.
As written in the title, is there Odin Flashable ICS/JB rom?
Or is there any method to make one?
My cappy hit by EU bug.
I tried using the workaround.
I now managed to flashed ficeto base rom (DarkyROM 10.1) by using Odin.
But I failed to flash any other rom due to android recovery system 3e popped message saying 'signature verification failed'.
I also failed to find any custom recovery suitable for the rom.
Any suggestion?
Thanks in advanced!!
No, you can't flash those like that because they use a non stock partition layout. You should be able to flash any Samsung based kernel appropriate for your version of android, and that will give you CWM.

I failed to flash any rom or any theme zip with android system recovery 3e.
It shows " E:Short write of /tmp/sideload/package.zip (No space left on device) ".
What should I do?
Sorry that I'm so noob.

Here comes the obvious question.. Is there enough free space on your cell? (Make sure there is..)
You should be able to flash a custom kernel (with cwm) through Odin 1.85 and from there, flash the ROM that you want.

Nope, he says he has 3e recovery meaning you can't flash anything... Odin a kernel and it will give you CWM.

Here is a i9000 Rom for Captivate. I use it and Love it,not 100% sure about the Right to left Language though.

yes you can just flash the i9000 rom you want, but after it boots up at least once, you'll have to flash a reoriented kernel to fix certain problems, including the incorrect screen orientation. there are a few of such clearly labeled kernels in the development forum, so take your pick. simple instructions: one-click flash the stock rom, boot normally, flash clockwordmod recovery, factory reset within clockwordmod recovery, flash your i9000 rom of choice, allow the phone to boot completely and establish a data connection, boot to recovery, flash a reoriented kernel of your choosing, boot normally and enjoy. hope this helps!

There are several kernels in the dev section, I would suggest either xcal , hardcore, or glitterball. Which is best is a matter of preference. How to install, there are several ways, replace zimage in rom package, odin, clockwork flash. What rom do you want to flash

Download the kernel you want. For example xcal's. Open zip and find the zimage. Copy it. Download rom you want. Find the zimage and replace it with the copy you made. Rezip rom package. You should be good to go

Or there is an app on the market that may make it easier
Sgs kernel flasher
Download rom
Download kernel
Flash rom
Let boot download app
Open app, close it
Move kernel to folder on sd create by app
Open app, select change kernel, select the kernel you doenloaded
You will have to be rooted to use this app

is there a tutorial or app that can root, install CWM, etc so that i can just boot into CWM and flash a new rom?

EDIT:
from a quick read, do i do this?:
. Rooting your phone and flashing a custom Kernel.
3.1. Download your preferred kernel (the version for Odin, not the one for CWM).
3.2. Open up Odin or Heimdall.
3.3. Put you phone into "Download mode" and connect it to your computer (DO NOT CONNECT THE PHONE BEFORE OPENING ODIN OR THIS WILL NOT WORK).
3.4.1. If you are using Heimdall, unpack your kernel until you end up with a file called zImage. Select that in Heimdall in the box for "Kernel (zImage)" and click Start.
3.4.2. If you are using Odin, select the file you downloaded in the PDA box and click Start.
3.5. After your Phone reboots, go into "Recovery mode" and go to "Advanced Speedmod ULK features" -> "ROOT / Install Superuser".
3.6. After rebooting the phone again, you should have root permissions.

If it's stock, flash ramads jvt with odin. You'll then have a rooted rom with cwm recovery.

Yep. That's correct.
Is he on gingerbread, if so follow the above process - you may need to flash a rooted kernel (chainfires would probably be best) afterwards as pda in odin.
If not on gingerbread, it may be quicker to flash milky's rom, it's got odin and full instructions in the download, and gb bootloaders.

your going to have to explain this to me, im really confused now
It's best to flash to the latest stock rom before installing a custom rom. Ramads jvt is deodexed but does not have root - so if you flash jvt, you will need to flash CFroot kernel after for root and cwm.
Ramads jvt does not have gingerbread bootloaders, so if it is on froyo or eclair, gb bootloaders will be needed.
If all this seems a pain, milky's rom is odin flashable, has bootloaders, root, cwm and also has odin and full instructions in the download.
Hope this is more clear.

I think the same should help you.

Hi!
I try to get upgrade my tab to Android Jelly Bean, but I find this a bit difficult.
I rooted my device with SuperOneClick and it worked, but when I try to instal the ROM I get this message: signature verification failed.
Have been searching around the internet, but I'm not very good at this.
Basically I need someone to explain what to do in a simple matter :fingers-crossed:
Would appreciate if you could help me!
you can't flash custom ROM using stock recovery. that is for Samsung signed updates only.
Follow my signature for overcome method.
Please note this: don't need to follow all the way to flash Overcome ROM.
You only want to get to a baseline stock rom (GB-stock-safe-v5).
The you flash overcome kernel, which gives you CWM recovery.
With that, you flash the jelly bean according to the custom ROM instruction.

Regarding the mobile networks, do you get signal at all? Check that your APN settings are entered correctly & you're using the right modem.
As mentioned, be sure you're on the right gapps for your build if you're using an aosp rom.

Recently i'm reflash to GB stock which is the version "Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread [XWJQ8]". But after that,I did a factory reset.
Than I flashed the original Gingerbread ROM. Odin didn't give me any error message, but after the tab rebooted I got stucked in a "recovery screen" with the following message in red:
E: Failed to mount /data (invalid argument)
E: install-application-for-customer: Can't mount /data
your storage not prepared yet. please use UI menu for format and reboot actions.
There was an option for format in this recovery screen, but I was unable to select it. The volume up/down keys worked to navigate in the options, but the power button didn't make the selection.
I force the tab to shut down keep pressing the power button. Started it again and the same screen showed up.
Could you help me, which part i was fail because of this?
Try the home button as OK button in stock recovery.
Edit:
BTW, which ROM did you come from? If you were from anything that is AOSP, likely you have MTD partition.
You need a full restock with pit file and "repartition" checked in Odin to get back to BML partition that stock ROM requires.
If your ROM file doesn't have it, you better use Overcome method and its GB-stock-safe-v5 that has it.

Hi guys,
I'm not new to doing anything with odin and galaxy s2, s3 phones. But.. I'll be selling my friend's Galaxy S3 MINI, but he rooted his phone and wants to get the warranty back.. So I came on the scene I did everything what was in this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2150822 . With Triangle away, everything worked just fine, but with the stock_recovery.tar.md5 I have some troubles. I flashed it via Odin, but the custom binary counter jumped on +1 again, but in the topic he said, that it shouldn't raise the counter...
I reset the counter via Triangle away again and wanted to flash in the firmware from this site: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2159660
But before I proceeded, I stopped myself and wrote this thread.. Because I have fear, that when I will flash this official firmware, the counter will raise up again(even thought, that it shouldn't, I think it will - like with the stock_recovery) .
So help me please ?
Thank you,
Paul
