Hi
I have a rooted phone with mf3.
A couple of months ago I tripped whatever security there is and caused the phone to display the unlocked logo and made the phone think it has been modded. At the time I felt no need to replace it, so did not bother. Now, the charging port is giving me trouble and I think I will need too replace the phone very soon. I was wondering what I need to do to make the phone look like stock for at&t.
Thanks

OK I know there are a lot of different opinions
But I just need some feed back because my soft keys were doing crazy things my Captivate was rooted recently it got even worse so I went through warranty (which I technically shouldn't have because I bought my captivate from eBay) but the day after I called warranty and they shipped a refurbished Captivate my phone started working correctly. I panicked and Odin one clicked my phone so they wouldn't know it was rooted then since it was working properly I did one click again but while it was restoring back to factory setting I disconnected the USB cable to say that it was bricked...it doesn't turn on the regular way and it will only go into download mode what happens now is my warranty voided cause if so they are talking about $339 processing fee

As long as the phone is still under one year then it is still under warranty it doesn't matter where you bought it from, and you do need to flash back to stock but there is no need to brick the phone on purpose
Currently Pinnacle 1.2 and have never been happier

since you r willing to brick your phone may as just flash using oneclick since u were doing that initially and that will bring it back to the way u had it...
OK so as long as I use Odin I'm good even if its working properly?

I need to return my one because of the camera issues and apparently damaged wifi n antenna/radio. I was wondering if anyone had gone through the process already can help me understand how it would work?
How long does it take? Would I be device-less for that amount of time?
Can I force sprint to replace my one instead of dealing with HTC or is it a waste of time without the 8 dollar repair warranty I declined?
And finally, my device is RUU'ed, but it still shows the tampered thing. I remember HTC warning against losing warranty or asking for money to fix if I unlocked/tampered with the device, though these issues should be strictly hardware.
Have you taken it to the Sprint store and ask them to test it? The phone is less than 6 months old. You just never know, they might do a swamp out for you, even if you are not paying for warrantee from them if they find out that there is a problem with your phone.
Relock your bootloader flash ruu back to stock and check to make sure the bootloader is locked before you take it to sprint. If you want to be extra safe use Revone s off method to gain locked status instead of relocked status in bootloader

Well I have a galaxy note 3 have had it since launch love it to death. Recently rooted it installed knoxraid and my phone got new life in it. Well I recently managed and I have no clue how but seem to have shorted out my phone where I am unable yo charge it any more. So I have to return it to Samsung. But I have a question. I guess I'm screwed either way as I can not hook it to the computer. But since I didn't trip knox do you think my warrenty will still be valid? Any replies would greatly be appreciated and for the time being while I am without my Note 3 I am switching over to the LG flex. Which at this point has no custom ROM.
Hello guys,
I have bought a N920C couple of weeks ago, and it went crazy, I've tried all ways to fix it with no luck, it keeps restarting and messing up.
Does anybody have a way to reset the knox counter as my warranty was void in the process of fixing and I want to send it back to the warranty.
I will be thankful.
Best of luck.
There is no method to reset the knox counter so far.
That's right but sometimes Samsung don't complain and honour the warranty and sometimes they don't honour the warranty. Sorry

This is why these phones cost $700 and Samsung is preventing hacking/modding.
knox counter is HARDWARE and software based efuse..if it trips you cannot revert is back..
.how to reset knox n920c
Not possible currently
Best thing you can do is install a custom rom and a new kernel. Phone will turn it's God mode on that way
Why didn't you just send it back right after it went crazy... if it's just a week or so you can even get a brand new one as replacement. Fiddling with the phone when it's still under warranty is one of the biggest no-nos.
theres a knox reset on play store.
Its kinda fishy though . Its from one of the forum users here on xda , seems to work for some models . Theres a huge post on it in the S7 forum i think ? also a post of it in the note 5 but it was rather small , most people dont believe it would work.
I wouldnt trust it tbh.
Sending it back to Samsung is a waste of time, even when in warranty. It's more than just the knox counter, it's also the flash counter. If you flash a Samsung stock bootloader and rom, they will not fix it without a fight. We've had nothing but bad experiences with their ****ty support.
You can't reset KNOX but what I suggest is flashing latest official stock firmware via Odin. It can fix your issue. Even if it can't, it will say "Samsung Official" on the bootloader screen (download mode) and I recommend sending to warranty in the official state. Warranty experience changes country to country and depends to service provider you sent your device to. They had changed my knox tripped tablet's screen without a fee.
BTW, which country are you in?
Will Samsung replace my Phone due to deep discharge battery problems even if my warranty is void?
PS I rooted my phone and tripped knox.
Model SM N950F
You say the warranty is void and you rooted, sorry but, how do you think possible that samsung would repair/exchange your device if you clearly say that you do not have a valid warranty?
Btw, there are ways to get your phone alive again, search for them, and remember to NEVER let your batt reach zero charge, keep it above 20%
Don't know the answer to your question as it depends on your Country's laws whether warranty is void from rooting & trippin Knox. I'm in the US with a F model so regardless or root or Knox being tripped, I can't warranty my phone if ever needed through Samsung USA but I'm not concerned.
There's an app for this. Once you get your phone charged & powered back on, install this app & you won't have to worry about it again. I donxt even know if my F has the issue but I'm using this app anyway. https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-8/themes/g95-deep-discharge-protection-t3731103
Are you on latest firmware or rom? It was said that this is a software issue & should have been fixed. But I haven't seen any confirmation of this though. If that is true I would have expected it to be fixed with Oreo as this problem was known with Nougat. However it seems like not all models are affected so it's possible that it's not a software issue.
If you have had your device for about 14 days, yes. Samsung will replace it. However if you have had it longer than that, it will be repaired.
Like others have said it depends on what country you are in. If you are in the EU they have to either fix or replace even if it is rooted due to the laws here.
Void warranty by knox so don't even bother

Well, I think that you should not waste more time, and try to get your device serviced asap
I can confirm In EU If you send it back to Samsung. Even rooted and tripped, they will repair it under warranty. The fact in EU, is that the manufacturer have to proove, that the root is the cause of your malfunctionnement. If they can't or if it's not due to this. They take it under warranty. That's the law here and i'm glad of it !
If it's in warranty they will only fix it, unless you have the problem 3 times like my girlfriend phone then at that point they will replace with a brand new note 8. I was lucky to only have the discharge issue once on my phone, but looking back on the decision to get me and my girl matching note 8s was a bad Christmas gift just for her to be without her phone 3 times smh ?
